Race 1   DIAMOND CREEK / SBSR SOUTHERN SURGE FINALS DAY MOBILE PACE
LIBBIE QWANTERROS - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Lay in when weakening rounding the final bend placing an inside runner in restricted room.
ROBYN ROCKS HEAVEN - placed in restricted room rounding the final bend when an outside runner lay inwards and broke in consequence, losing its chance.
DAISY DIANA - lay out throughout the run home having to be corrected by driver M Williamson.
Trainer A Swain advised Stewards on 4 September that STAR FROM HEAVEN has had its knees treated since last racing.
Race 2   HOWL AT THE MOON MOBILE PACE
ITSALLABOUTTHEMONEY - broke in the score up checking a second line runner resulting in a false start being declared. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver C Dalgety elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance trainer L Bond advised the mare had benefitted from a change in workload and the shorter distance of the race, adding he was still surprised by the forward showing today.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare.
RASPALIA - raced wide early. Lay in briefly near 1250m.
BOWLEM OVER - briefly placed in restricted room near the 1250m contacting track markers. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
JANAKA'S DELIGHT - raced wide early.
SODOYAHAVTIME - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
AINT NO ANGEL - driver B Williamson was warned for crossing his reins to perform a celebratory gesture prior to the finish line.
Race 3   JUDY NORMAN MEMORIAL SOUTHERN SURGE SERIES FINAL TROT
TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN - broke passing the 1300m losing all chance. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
FASTAR - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
OUR ROSE HILL - broke rounding the first bend losing ground.
RANGITATA - late scratching at 12.25pm due to transport difficulties.

Race 4   MOWBRAY & ARMOUR RACING SOUTHERN SURGE FINAL MOB PACE
NYLA - lay in rounding the bend passing the 1000m and weakened thereafter before being retired from the event by driver C Ferguson. When questioned regarding this Mr Ferguson stated that the mare had hung badly through the early stages and as a precaution he elected to retire the horse from the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
RISE UP N DANCE - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver N Williamson advised that the gelding had over-raced on occasion during the running, however despite this he was still disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
TASHS BAD GIRL - out of position at the start. Junior driver N Kyle, assisted by A Kyle, was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
SUPERFAST - held up rounding the final bend.
HE'S TOUGH - raced wide until reaching the lead near the 1400m.
BOMBAY GLACIER - held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home until near the 150m.
JENNY GUMP - driver S Walkinshaw reported a sulky tyre had deflated during the running.
Race 5   UDY'S GRAIN & FEED LTD / ZILCO MOBILE PACE
A BETTORS LEGACY - checked by a breaking runner rounding the final bend and broke in consequence.
SEASIDE BRUCIE - an offside hopple carrier strap broke rounding the final bend. The gear was inspected and found to be in previous good condition.
ROCK N ROLL DUDE - paced roughly and broke briefly rounding the final bend checking a trailing runner which broke in consequence. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
RAKATURBO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 6   NOEL KENNEDY MEMORIAL SOUTHERN SURGE SERIES FINAL MOB PACE
HUNGRY BRONNIE - eased out of the race passing the 900m when the near side sulky tyre deflated and came off the rim, badly hampering a trailing runner.
COSMIC STAR - raced wide throughout. Lay in on the bend near the 1400m when attempting to progress forward. Weakened final bend.
GINERVA - raced wide from the 900m.
ACE OF SPADES - raced wide early.
SURE TO RISE - raced wide early.
MIGHTY MIKI - over-raced in the score up and again through the middle stages.
BLUE DRAGON - held up in the run home until passing the 100m.
MIND PHILLY - over-raced in the middle stages causing driver B Williamson some difficulty, and made contact with the off side sulky wheel of HUNGRY BRONNIE near the 1100m. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Badly hampered when HUNGRY BRONNIE was eased out of the race passing the 900m, losing all chance.
SHERGAR - raced wide from the 1300m.
RAKAMICK - raced wide throughout.
BLAZING KNUCKLES - raced wide throughout.
Race 7   PHOEBE STUD GRASSROOTS BREEDING SURGE FINAL HANDICAP TROT
BILL BOOTIT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800m.
KYLE LOCH - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800m.
MUSCLE MIST - broke at the start losing ground.
SPIRITINTHESKY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800m.
PENELOPE LANE - broke passing the 1800m hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Driver C Ferguson reported that he had difficulty steering the horse throughout.
TO THE MOON AND BACK - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800m. Broke passing the 1700m losing ground and continued in a break for some distance before being returned to its correct gait.
STELLA BAY - raced wide early.
HAVE A LITTLE FAITH - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800m.
CLOTILDE WAINWRIGHT - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Driver N Williamson reported he did not activate the removable deafeners as a consequence.
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - broke after 100m losing ground. Again broke passing the 200m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
TARRAGINDI - lay out throughout the run home having to be corrected by driver M Williamson.
Race 8   WOODLANDS STUD SOUTHERN SURGE SERIES FINAL MOBILE PACE
MONTAGE - raced wide early. Junior driver D Anderson, assisted by N Williamson, was issued a charge alleging that he drove carelessly near the 1800m when shifting ground inwards checking TRENDY VAN GOGH (C Dalgety) which broke in consequence losing all chance. Due to Mr Dalgety having left the course the matter was adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee.
ABULL - raced wide early.
SKY PATROL - held up rounding the final bend and in the run home until passing the 150m.
RAMBLIN ROVER - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800m. Held up rounding the final bend and again over the concluding stages.
TRENDY VAN GOGH - checked and broke passing the 1800m losing all chance.
BUBBLE ME - trainer C Ferguson was warned for failing to have the correct colours available.
DIAMONDSONMYSHOES - over-raced when being restrained to take cover in the early stages.
Junior driver D Anderson (MONTAGE), assisted by N Williamson, defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly near the 1800m when shifting ground inwards checking TRENDY VAN GOGH (C Dalgety) which broke in consequence losing all chance. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from Mr Anderson, Mr Williamson, Mr Dalgety and the Stewards, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Anderson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today, 4 September up to and including 9 October 2025, 6 days.

LIL WHIP - broke after 130m losing ground.
EMILY - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
DOMINATION'S CALL - broke rounding the first bend losing ground.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Barclay advised that with the fast tempo of the race he was unable to make up ground from the 30m handicap.

DARE DEVIL - raced wide early.
RIGHTAZZ - raced wide early.
SHARE A DREAM - out of position at the start. Driver M Hurrell was issued with a warning.
MAGNETIC BECKERS - raced wide early. Held up rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
MAJOR ART - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. When questioned regarding this driver K Green advised that the gelding had panicked after its hind leg contacted the sulky wheel of SHARE A DREAM which was to its inside, and broke in consequence. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
