| IM SANDRA DEE - hung outwards rounding the final bend. | |
| CONFEDERATE - Stewards questioned driver S Phelan regarding the manner in which he drove over the concluding stages after the gelding had shifted into the passing lane crowding an inside runner. Mr Phelan advised that his vision had been impeded due to the setting sun which had placed him at a disadvantage. Mr Phelan was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. | |
| CLOUDING OVER - struck a track marker approaching 50m when briefly placed in restricted room. | |
| THE RASCAL - raced over several track markers late in the run home when placed in restricted room by an outside runner.
