Race 1   COMBINED SERVICES CLUB TWIZEL TROT
A false start was declared at the first attempt when PHANTOM SPUR lay inwards as the tapes were released and contacted FASTAR which was hampered. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
FASTAR - held up by a weakening runner final bend. Trotted roughly in the run home.
PHANTOM SPUR - trotted roughly and broke passing the 2100m losing considerable ground. Again broke near the 500m losing all chance. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
JUST CHARLIE - lay inwards on the final bend contacting track markers when weakening.
IMPERIAL KNIGHT - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after the gelding appeared to be uneven in its gait which revealed signs of lameness in the near hind. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
GASHERBRUM - the spreaders broke during the running and came adrift near the 1800m. The gear was inspected and found to be in previous good condition.
MAJESTIC CHALLEN - over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards on the bends throughout. Broke near the 900m losing ground.
Race 2   MARSHALL TRANSPORT PACE
MCFADDENS MISTRESS - trainer T Bagrie was warned for failing to have the correct colours available. Broke at the start losing ground. Paced roughly entering the first bend. Over-raced middle stages. Placed in restricted room by an outside runner over the concluding stages and contacted several track markers.
ASIAN JOKER - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Lay inwards over the concluding stages.
SABI SANDS - over-raced middle stages. Raced wide without cover from the 400m.
COOL LUCY - held up final bend.
COSMIC STAR - lay inwards at various stages throughout.
Race 3   JOHN MUDIE MEMORIAL HANDICAP PACE
MYSTIC MAGIC - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MOOSE MOROWSKI - tangled away. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 600m.
JAKE - broke near the 600m hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
GRAZIE - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 600m then weakened shortly after. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
THE CONQUEROR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 600m.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 600m.
HEAVEN'S MARK - driver J Morrison reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
GEORGIE ZUKOV - hampered by a breaking runner near the 600m.
Race 4   WAITAKI HOTEL SOCIAL CLUB MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when DAISY DIANA refused to score up and became fractious as the mobile was moving away with the sulky shaft getting caught over the filly's rump. A warning was placed on the barrier record of DAISY DIANA.
SHADES OF ROBYN - weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Holmes advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing signs of a respiratory condition. Stood down pending a veterinary examination including an endoscopic procedure prior to resuming.
KEEP SMILING - returned to the stabling area showing signs of lameness. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the off fore. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. Trainer B Butt advised he would have a further veterinary examination including x-rays conducted on return to the home stable and undertook to notify Stewards of any findings.
MIKI SKIPPER - raced wide early.
CAPTAIN COOL - raced wide early.
ICY STARS - out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Trainer T Cross advised Stewards on 9 September that SHADES OF ROBYN has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.
Race 5   VALLI WINES LTD / KUROW AUTO CENTRE LTD HANDICAP TROT
There was a delay to the start when Starter R Donnelly was not satisfied with the manner runners had addressed the barrier resulting in the field being turned away.
SON OF THE CLEANER - lost contact with the runner in front for a distance from the 1200m. Broke near the 500m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance with the overcheck becoming displaced. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
WITHOUT COMPARISON - lay inwards final bend contacting several track markers.
MIKKO KOIVU - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
MILES AWAY - raced wide early.

JAZZYS UPSTART - over-raced middle stages.

DECEPTIVE LEE - driver G Thornley reported a sulky tyre had deflated during the running.
MIKI'S COURAGE - held up over the concluding stages. Driver J Dunn reported he did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
WOODBINE ROCKS - held up early in the run home.
SHEPHERDS DELIGHT - shifted out shortly after the start simultaneously with an outside runner which was placed in restricted room as a consequence.
BRYCE'S MEDDLE - paced roughly rounding the final bend when hanging inwards and being shifted wider on the track.
NEXT LEVEL - over-raced when placed in restricted room shortly after the start when simultaneously shifting ground with an inside runner, hampering the trailing BAR LOUIE.
LAKELSA - held up over the concluding stages.
BAR LOUIE - became awkwardly placed on the sulky wheel of NEXT LEVEL shortly after the start. Raced wide until reaching the lead near the 1400m.
DREAMS ARE FREE - broke at the start losing ground. Held up early in the run home and again over the concluding stages. Driver N Williamson advised he did not activate the removeable deafeners in consequence.
TREACHEROUS GALL - broke at the start losing ground.
FRANCO SINATRA - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1700m.
Race 8   SBT MARKETING (2009) LTD MOBILE PACE
LA CONCHA - weakened in the run home.
EZRA THE SCRIBE - paced roughly first bend.
MAGICAL MAX - over-raced middle stages.
BETTERTHANDIVA - raced wide early.
CALIFORNIA DREAMING - broke at the start hampering an outside runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
KELTIC TIGER - over-raced middle stages.
IVONA DADIC - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Raced three wide from the 1100m.
RAKERO LIGHTNING - held up leaving the final bend.
KENSI - out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.

CODY BANNER - trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Broke in the run home losing ground.
PRACTICAL MAGIC - broke in the run home losing all chance.
MISSILE - trotted roughly from the 800m.
FRANCO JOSIAH - when questioned regarding the performance driver R May advised that the gelding had worked hard in the parked position which had taken its toll, however he expected it would take natural benefit from the first up run.
HIDDEN TALENT - trainer N Williamson reported the mare would be racing in season.
JIMMY CARTER - broke leaving the final bend losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver J Morrison reported that JIMMY CARTER had been striking the sulky wheels on the bends.
Race 10   COLLIE HILLS STUD MOBILE PACE
PASSCHENDAELE - lay inwards rounding the bends and again over the concluding stages. Driver N Williamson reported he was unable to fully drive the gelding out as a consequence.
DELIGHTFUL PEG - raced wide early.
SCARLETT'S LEGACY - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
LONNEKERS - broke after 100m losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened in the run home.
