Race 1   TAB 2ND & 3RD BONUS CASH BACK MOBILE PACE
SAMVASA - held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
MIGHTY FLYING LOU - hung inwards and struck track markers rounding the final bend placing driver R May in difficulty. Again hung inwards early in the run home, racing inside several markers in the passing lane with trailing runners being hampered. When questioned Mr May stated the gelding had locked on one rein, preventing him from steering despite his efforts when using the whip. Nothwithstanding this Mr May was reminded of his obligations in similar circumstances. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
MIDNIGHT BABE - hampered near the 100m.
DON JUAN - held up early in the run home. Driver T Duley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners as a result. Stewards questioned Miss Duley, assisted by Senior Driver Mr G Smith, regarding her decision to shift inwards at the 900m. Miss Duley explained that the horse is best driven for one run and after losing cover at the 1300m and racing in the open, she considered her best option was to shift inwards in search of cover, consistent with its preferred racing pattern. After considering her explanation and reviewing replays, Stewards accepted her decision at the 900m was not unreasonable and took the matter no further.
DIDJASEEMIKI - raced wide from the 800m.
ALMIGHTY CLEVER - held up early in the run home.
APATCHOFGOLD - weakened final bend.
Race 2   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. MOBILE PACE
LARISSA LILY - fractious prior to the start. Broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
STUMBLIN IN - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
FLYING HOLME - over-raced middle stages.
Race 3   RICOH TROT
LIPSTICK - fractious prior to the start and refused to come up into position causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hung inwards rounding the final bend.
KINGAROY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 600m.
VIVA LA VIDA - began awkwardly. Raced wide early. Broke near the 600m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. When questioned regarding the performance co-trainer/driver B Hope advised the gelding had objected to the track grit. A warning was placed on the racing record of the horse.
Race 4   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
STEPHS BOY - weakened final bend.
TIMBIMBOO - late scratching at 3.16pm due to being sold.
C C ARDEN - raced wide early. Hung inwards and locked wheels with the weakening KOTARE KELSO near the 350m despite the efforts of driver T Chmiel before breaking and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KOTARE KELSO - raced wide without cover from the 1150m. Paced roughly near the 800m. Locked wheels with C C ARDEN when weakening near the 350m.
Race 5   HERE FOR THE HORSE WINTER APPEAL TROT
ALDEBARAN CRYSTAL - trotted roughly early stages.
Race 6   IT'S TIME TO BOOK WITH WOODLANDS MOBILE PACE
VIN'S DEAL - paced roughly near the 1400m.
EBONY ARDEN - raced greenly rounding the final bend.
TIPSTAR - hung on various occasions during the running.
BETTER BE QUICK - lay inwards and had to be straightened near the 150m.
MAGGIE Q - lay outwards rounding the final bend.
Race 7   GEORGIA ANDERSON "HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY" MOBILE PACE
PIONEER - lay inwards striking track markers when under pressure leaving the final bend.
CARDI B - raced greenly near the 900m.
AMASS - broke briefly shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 8   CUP WEEK TICKETS ON SALE NOW HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed due to the Starter not being satisfied with the manner in which runners addressed the barrier strand with all runners being turned out of line.
DESBOIS - broke at the start losing all chance.
DREAMS PAT - raced wide early. Broke near the 1950m losing ground. Broke again near the 750m and 350m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
LOVE WALKED IN - pre-race warmed. Briefly hampered when CORMORAN STRIKE lay outwards near the 150m.
CORMORAN STRIKE - lay outwards and had to be straightened by its driver near the 150m briefly hampering LOVE WALKED IN. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until driver B Hope (LOVE WALKED IN) placed 2nd, confirmed his chances of finishing ahead of CORMORAN STRIKE had not been affected.
Race 9   HORSES PERFORM BETTER ON BETAVET MOBILE PACE
ONEROA - paced roughly entering the first bend. Held up early in the run home.
BERRETTINI - driver R Close advised his wheel had been contacted late in the run home and deflated after the finish line.
JUKEBOX GYPSY - held up late in the run home.
SHADOW CREEK - was awkwardly placed close to the sulky of BERRETTINI when held up over the concluding stages. Stewards will speak to driver R Holmes regarding this in the coming days.
BLAZING KNUCKLES - raced greenly in the run home and was momentarily placed in restricted room and raced inside a track marker near the 100m. Continued to race greenly when hanging out over the concluding stages placing driver S Ottley in some difficulty with the sliding blinds not being activated in consequence.
DESERT DANCER - lay outwards rounding the final bend.
LA CONCHA - had to be restrained racing into the first bend when racing on the marker line. Stewards questioned drivers G O'Reilly (JUKEBOX GYPSY) and C Dalgety (LA CONCHA) regarding this and after hearing from both drivers and viewing the replays which were inconclusive, Stewards took the matter no further. Held up throughout the run home. Mr Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
BAUTISTA - raced wide from the 650m.
Race 10   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
POISON IVY - over-raced near the 1200m.
