| KOWALSKI - paced roughly at various stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. | |
| LOVEABLE ROGUE - broke near the 200m losing all chance with the near hind and then off fore hopple loops breaking whilst in the gallop. This gear was inspected and found to have been in satisfactory condition with Trainer D Erickson deemed not to be at fault. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. | |

After hearing the relative evidence with Drivers C Hackett (KEEP IT KLASSY), S Abernethy (KAIPAKI JACK) and viewing the available replay footage Stewards were unable to attribute blame solely to either driver and took the matter no further. Held up late in the run home. | |

| INNOCENT MAN - commenced to over-race near the 1700m. Paced roughly near the 1550m and then again near the 1400m briefly hampering trailing runners. Broke near the 250m when in restricted room losing ground before settling. When questioned Driver T Mitchell stated that the gelding had commenced to weaken and lay in marginally when in restricted room contacting the sulky of MARY MAGDALENE with its near hind causing it to break. Stewards noted Mr Mitchell's comments. | |

| SECRETS ABOUND - paced roughly early. Shifted out near the 200m when Junior Driver K Denifostova was activating the removable deafeners before being corrected shortly after. Ms Denifostova (assisted by J Dickie) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly when activating gear in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200. | |
| ADJOURNMENT - sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 200m after initially following SECRETS ABOUND wider. When being corrected, this runner became awkwardly placed close to the over-racing DIXIELAND DELIGHT which was improving to its inside despite the efforts of Driver A Poutama resulting in the contact occurring. After viewing the replays and hearing from Driver J Dickie (ADJOURNMENT), Stewards determined that no further action was required other than to note the circumstances. | |

| BARSUKOV - broke rounding the first turn and galloped for a considerable distance before settling towards the rear. Broke again near the 300m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. Driver L Chin admitted a charge under Rule 869 (3)(b) that he drove carelessly near the 900m when contacting and puncturing the sulky wheel of EYES TO HEAVEN (Driver N Chilcott). After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Dr Chin's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 15 August up to and including 28 August 2025 (3 days). | |
