| At an adjourned hearing held on 8 August, driver R Crawford (BEVRON) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly rounding the final bend by shifting ground outwards when insufficiently clear, resulting in his runner becoming awkwardly placed between ALDEBARAN CRYSTAL and GINAS MAJESTY before breaking. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Crawford's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 August up to and including 29 August 2025 (3 days). |

| ALDEBARAN REDWOOD - held up rounding the final bend. Stewards questioned driver C DeFilippi regarding his decision to shift inwards at that stage of the race. Mr DeFilippi explained that he felt his runner was under pressure and therefore elected to obtain cover behind the favoured ALDEBARAN CRYSTAL, which was still travelling well at the time. He further stated that he was disappointed with the manner in which his horse finished the race. After considering Mr DeFilippi's explanation and reviewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied that his actions were not unreasonable under the circumstances and determined that no further action was warranted. | |

Mr Thornley advised that at the time the horse was weakening and hanging when placed under pressure and he was concerned runners to his inside were in restricted room. After hearing his explanation and viewing the replays Stewards advised Mr Thornley not to leave his drives open to query in future. | |
