Race 1 - IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. MOBILE PACE
Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 1 August that RISE UP N DANCE was treated for stomach ulcers following its last start and has been working well in preparation for racing at the Winton HRC meeting on Sunday. Mr Williamson added that given it was the gelding's first start back from a spell, it was his intention to drive the horse for one run if circumstances permit.

Connections advised Stewards on 1 August that HOOFN IT has recovered well since its last start and they will carry on with the gelding's current preparation.

Driver R Holmes (JUST CHARLIE) was issued Minor Infringement Notices for coming to the start out of position which caused a delay with a fine of $300 being imposed.

Race 1   TAB 2ND & 3RD BONUS CASH BACK MOBILE PACE
BEVERLEY COURTNEY - weakened from the 500m. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Ferguson advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
ASK ME LAZARUS - raced wide early.
MIKI FLYBYE - raced wide from the 900m. Weakened final bend. Paced roughly leaving the final bend and was eased down by driver T Williams with the gelding faltering shortly after the finish line. Immediately attended to by the on course Veterinarian and transported from the track in the Horse Ambulance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a fractured sesamoid in the right front fetlock with the gelding being treated prior to being transported in the Horse Ambulance to the Rangiora Veterinary Clinic. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
LOUIS - held up final bend.
C C ARDEN - lay outwards near the 200m for a distance inconveniencing JOYRIDE(AUS). Junior driver N Burton was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home in future.
KOTARE KELSO - raced wide early.
TIMBIMBOO - over-raced early stages.
JOYRIDE(AUS) - inconvenienced in the run home when an inside runner shifted outwards.
SOPHIA BROMAC - pre-race warmed.
Connections advised Stewards on 14 August that MCKENDRICK has been treated for a hoof abscess since last racing.
Race 2   NORWOOD MACHINERY MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when LONGVIEW TUI broke in the score up and shifted inwards checking DIDJAMAKEANIMPRINT and SMOKING ASHES. A warning was placed on the barrier record of LONGVIEW TUI. Driver S Thornley elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart. DIDJAMAKEANIMPRINT underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to take part in the restart.
DIDJAMAKEANIMPRINT broke shortly after the restart and shifted inwards abruptly severely checking SMOKING ASHES resulting in driver R Harrison being dislodged from the sulky with the gelding escaping driverless before being recaptured. Stewards stopped the race after 200m pursuant to Rule 211A(1) due to safety concerns. As the field had only gone a short distance the race was eligible to be re-run with all horses undergoing Veterinary examinations and being cleared to start in the re-run with the exception of SMOKING ASHES which was declared a late scratching by Order of Stewards. DIDJAMAKEANIMPRINT was sent to the unruly position by the Starter where the gelding will remain for future mobile starts. Driver R Harrison was examined by St John personnel and cleared of injury.
SMOKING ASHES - a post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
DIDJAMAKEANIMPRINT - over-raced early stages. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
LONGVIEW TUI - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages.
DAISY DIANA - refused to score up at the first attempt at a start and shifted up the track losing considerable ground. Raced wide from the 900m.

ROYAL YANKEE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver A Beecroft. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 4   RICOH (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
SHAPELY - paced roughly shortly after the start.
MY TEN GUITARS - the off side hopple connecting strap broke leaving the final bend with the mare being eased down over the concluding stages. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition with trainer M Scheuber deemed not to be at fault.
SOFIA ROSE - driver S Thornley was issued a warning for contacting the sulky wheel of JAZZYS UPSTART rounding the final bend.
PENNY WEIGHT - over-raced early stages.
Race 5   CUP WEEK TICKETS ON SALE NOW TROT
TACTICAL BID - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1000m losing all chance.
ALDEBARAN REDWOOD - broke at the start losing all chance.
BIRDY - fractious prior to the start. Lay inwards leaving the final bend and struck a track marker when placed in restricted room by an outside runner near the 250m. Continued to lay inwards in the run home.
KD GRINS - locked wheels with RUTHLESS EMMA which lay inwards near the 400m losing ground.
SCHOEMAKER - stood on the mark losing all chance.
RUTHLESS EMMA - began awkwardly. Lay inwards near the 400m and locked wheels with KD GRINS losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
HARRIET'S MOMENT - began awkwardly. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Trotted roughly rounding the first bend. Lay outwards rounding the final bend and then shifted inwards near the 250m placing an inside runner in restricted room momentarily which struck a track marker. Driver R May was issued a warning.
Race 6   ITS TIME TO BOOK WITH WOODLANDS MOBILE PACE
LIZZIE BORDEN - pre-race warmed.
PRINCESS MACANDREW - paced roughly racing into the first bend.
SMACKDOWN - lay inwards rounding the final bend when weakening. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he had difficulty steering the filly and will be recommending gear changes prior to racing next.
ZEUS LIGHTNING - driver O Thornley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 7   GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND MOBILE PACE
MILOU - momentarily placed in restricted room by an outside runner entering the first bend.
TRIPLE G - lay inwards placing an inside runner in restricted room momentarily entering the first bend.
DECEPTIVE LEE - over-raced early stages.
Connections advised Stewards on 14 August that OUR SHANGRI LANA has been treated for colic since last racing.
Race 8   ENTRIES CLOSE TODAY FOR NZB 2026 YEARLING SALES MOBILE TROT
SUPERFAST RONNIE - late scratching at 9.40am on Veterinary advice.
HIGH INTENSITY - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
ATLANTIC CITY - raced greenly when leading passing the 1100m.
DREAMS PAT - broke after 100m losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again near the 1400m losing ground and passing the 100m losing its chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 9   MID-WINTER AT ADDINGTON BOOK NOW FOR LAST CHANCE PACE
COBA CHARGED - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
MYSTERY BEACH - broke at the start hampering an inside runner losing considerable ground. Checked by a breaking runner near the 900m. Weakened from the 700m.
CAUGHT THE EYE - tangled away. Driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
STYLE COUNCIL - broke near the 900m checking trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DELIGHTFUL DREAMS - broke briefly at the start losing ground. Checked by a breaking runner near the 900m.
FLYING BIRD - tangled away.
WARLOCH - tangled away. Checked by a breaking runner near the 900m. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
MIDNIGHT BABE - checked by a breaking runner near the 900m.
CLONAKILTY - checked by a breaking runner near the 900m. Raced wide from the 700m. Weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Butt advised the gelding had travelled well during the running however had failed to respond when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery.
Race 10   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
BURNHAM GIRL - weakened final bend.
SUGAR BABE - paced roughly after 150m. Held up final bend.
ARDEN SEASCAPE - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MOOSE MOROWSKI - weakened final bend.
