Race 1   SEAHORSE SUPPLEMENTS TROT
MUSCLE DASH - trotted roughly in the run home.
MOLLYS REMEDY - broke at the start losing all chance.
PHANTOM SPUR - trotted roughly rounding the first bend before breaking losing ground. Broke again passing the 1050m losing all chance.
HOOFN IT - a post-race veterinary examination at the request of trainer S Trotter revealed some swelling to the left front fetlock however no lameness was detected with a further veterinary assessment recommended. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
RUTHLESS EMMA - trainer A Mugford advised the mare has had a knee treated since last racing.
PAT BENATAR - broke after 100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MOUNT THOMAS - broke after 100m losing all chance.
HIGHLY RATED - slow to begin. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
JUST CHARLIE - broke near the 1600m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
Race 2   NEW & IMPROVED MAXIA DIGEST PACE
ARCHER - broke briefly at the start. Over-raced passing the 2200m and was taken wider on the track to improve to the lead. Weakened rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners.
WOLF OF WALL STREET - hung inwards passing the 1500m striking a track marker. Hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend. Paced roughly near the 300m after being hampered when being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner.
A DANCING ROCKA - paced roughly shortly after the start and again after 150m when being restrained to obtain cover. Hung inwards passing the 1500m striking several track markers.
MYSTERY BEACH - raced greenly after improving to the lead for a distance near the 2100m causing driver S Ottley difficulty before being restrained to trail. Hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend. Miss Ottley was issued a warning to exercise greater care when shifting ground after hampering an outside runner near the 300m.
GOODOLDAYZ - driver R Holmes reported that despite his efforts the removable deafeners had failed to release rounding the final bend, however he was able to activate them at his second attempt over the concluding stages. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 3   MAXIA BALANCE JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
MAJOR HAPPY - held up early in the run home.
PLAYING WITH STARS - over-raced middle stages. Junior driver H Douglas reported the mare had been striking the sulky wheel discs at various stages during the running. Mr Douglas (assisted by M Williamson) defended a breach of Rule 868(3) alleging he failed to drive the mare out to the end of the race when having a reasonable chance of finishing in 4th place. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved. After considering submissions on penalty Mr Douglas' driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 1 August 2025 (3 days).
DIDJASEEMIKI - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver O Thornley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BEVERLEY COURTNEY - over-raced middle stages. Weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Newman advised the mare had been challenged for the lead through the middle stages with the effort taking its toll. Mr Newman added he expected the horse would derive considerable benefit from the race which was its first start for one month.
Race 4   SEAHORSE SUPPLEMENTS PROUDLY NZ OWNED MOBILE TROT
SCHOEMAKER - hung outwards and trotted roughly in the early stages.
HERE COMES JANE - weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance driver P Davis advised the mare had raced lethargically and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
OPAWA PEAK - trotted roughly near the 1100m.
LIME IN A BOTTLE - raced wide early. Weakened from the 500m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver R Close advised the mare had worked hard early however he was disappointed with the effort.
Race 5   MAXIA COMPLETE MOBILE PACE
HIT THE BEACH - driver C DeFilippi admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr DeFilippi's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 27 July up to and including 3 August 2025 (2 days).
KALATRA - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the mare had received every opportunity and he could offer no explanation.
HARRY BELAFONTE - broke briefly in the score up however was in position at the start.
RAKNRUIN - raced wide early.
SIR MONTY - hung outwards and broke late in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 6   SEAHORSE SUPPLEMENTS CELEBRATING 10 YEARS MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when TALLANDFAST scored up in the incorrect position. Junior driver M Holbrough (assisted by S Tomlinson) defended a breach of Rule 858(1)(a) and (d) alleging she scored up in the incorrect position inside BLACKJACK (S Ottley) resulting in a false start being declared and a delay to the start. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $300.
PACIFIC THUNDER - over-raced early stages.
TALLANDFAST - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages causing driver M Holbrough considerable difficulty.
DAISY DIANA - refused to score up at the first attempt at a start and shifted up the track resulting in the filly contacting the outside fence. Underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to take part in the restart. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Over-raced rounding the final bend. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 7   MAXIA DIGEST MOBILE TROT
BEVRON - held up final bend. Checked and broke near the 350m when placed in restricted room between ALDEBARAN CRYSTAL and the breaking GINAS MAJESTY losing all chance. Stewards will speak to driver R Crawford regarding this in the coming days.
ALDEBARAN CRYSTAL - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
GINAS MAJESTY - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend before breaking and checking an outside runner which had already been placed in restricted room. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
SEE NO EVIL - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Again trotted roughly when weakening early in the run home.
Race 8   SEAHORSE SUPPLEMENTS SUPPORTING HARNESS RACING MOB PACE
