Race 1   REGENT CAR COURT HANDICAP TROT
There was a delay to the start when Starter N Popham was not satisfied with the manner the front line runners addressed the barrier with the field being turned away.
MAJIC N THE PORT - broke at the start losing ground. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 2000m. Held up leaving the final bend and throughout the run home. Driver M Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners or activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
KIMBO - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.
TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN - broke near the 120m and failed to settle. Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays connections did not contest the protest and TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN was disqualified by the Stewards.
SEBASTIAN STARK - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m and broke in consequence losing all chance.
MOR MOONLIGHT - broke passing the 2000m losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 1st placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
LOVEONTHEHILL - over-raced middle stages. Made contact with several track markers leaving the final bend. Driver C Ferguson was issued with a warning.
ERROL D - the required Veterinary Clearance was received. Broke passing the 1500m hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied ERROL D had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
Race 2   MARSHALL INDUSTRIES MOBILE PACE
KACEE MAC - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Hurrell. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
DONNY DO - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Green. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MIND PHILLY - over-raced through the middle stages.
SHERGAR - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver M Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners or activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
Race 3   UPPERCUTS BUTCHERY MOBILE PACE
HE'S TOUGH - driver M Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners or activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
JACCKA HENRY - raced wide early.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - over-raced middle stages.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - trainer L Bond advised Stewards on 31 August that TUNEINSPORTSFANS has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 4   KERRY HODGES MEMORIAL WINTER REWARDS TROT
ROYAL AHEARN - weakened final bend.
THE GREEK FREAK - briefly trotted roughly first bend.
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - driver B Orange reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BILL BOOTIT - driver G Goodman was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the run home.
OUR SUPERFUND - slow over the early stages.
POPNROCK - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
Race 5   BRECKON FARMS WINTER REWARDS MOBILE PACE
MONTAGE - held up final bend.
HAVARTI ARDEN - raced three wide without cover from the 1050m.
ASK ME LOU - lost contact with the body of the field for a distance from the 700m.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - shifted out passing the 1050m forcing an outside runner wider on the track. Junior driver M Hill, who declined the assistance of a senior, admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) at this stage of the race. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
TASHS BAD GIRL - raced three wide without cover from the 1100m. Forced wider on the track by an inside runner near the 1050m and raced four wide thereafter. Driver N Kyle reported a sulky tyre had deflated during the running.
KENSI - raced three wide without cover from the 1300m then with cover from the 1100m. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
BOMBAY GLACIER - raced three wide with cover from the 1200m.
Race 6   EH BALL ITM WINTER REWARDS MOBILE PACE
ERRATIC - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
ITSALLABOUTTHEMONEY - weakened badly final bend. When asked to comment on the performance driver B Williamson advised he was disappointed and could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. Stewards will follow up with trainer L Bond in the coming days.
RYLAN CHARLIE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - over-raced middle stages. Held up leaving the final bend and through the early and middle stages of the run home.
SHARE A DREAM driver M Hurrell reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Trainer L Bond advised Stewards on 28 July that ITSALLABOUTTHEMONEY had recovered well since its disappointing last start and will continue in its current preparation.
Race 7   MICO PLUMBING MOBILE PACE
FRANCO SAILOR - weakened final bend. Driver N Williamson reported the horse had paced roughly throughout.
MIKI COHEN - broke after 150m losing ground. Weakened final bend.
NETHERTON FRANCO - over-raced middle stages.
Race 8   LINDSAY THOMSON 100 WINS WINTER REWARDS MOBILE PACE
DARE DEVIL - held up throughout the run home. Driver K Tomlinson reported she did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
SODOYAHAVTIME - weakened final bend.
AINT NO ANGEL - over-raced middle stages.
DURRANT - raced wide from the 850m.
MAJOR ART - raced three wide from the 900m and then four wide from the 850m.
INDIANA ARDEN - raced wide early. Raced three wide without cover from the 1000m.
HAZER - over-raced early and middle stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
RIGHTAZZ - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
JACCKA EVAN - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 9   C & R WINTER REWARDS HANDICAP TROT
MIXED FAITH - trotted roughly throughout the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver B Williamson.
GIFT CARD - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Reported to be showing signs of lameness on return to the stabling area. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be Grade 4 lame in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a Veterinary Clearance prior to resuming.
LIL WHIP - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
SAMANTHAS MOON - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
Race 10   WDC COMING TO NZ IN NOVEMBER WINTER REWARDS MOBILE PACE
STILLYOURSHOT - over-raced early and middle stages.
DOUBLE QUICK - pre-race warmed. Held up rounding the final bend.
WARD LAMON - weakened over the concluding stages.
SOUTHSIDE OF HEAVEN - shifted up the track in the home straight despite the efforts of driver M Williamson. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance trainer B McIntyre advised that the mare had been unlucky in recent starts when still running good races and he was not surprised by today's effort.
TUA LIPA - held up final bend and early stages of the run home only obtaining clear racing room passing the 150m.
MAGNETIC BECKERS - raced wide early.
