The adjourned enquiry to consider a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) against Junior Driver M Ranger (OHOKA ACHILLES) (assisted by S Abernethy) alleging that she drove carelessly causing interference to JACCKA OPA near the 100m was reconvened at tonight's meeting. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and suspended Ms Ranger's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 18 July up to and including 25 July 2025 (2 days).

LOUIE V TONNE - lay inwards when being steadied to take a trail near the 1050m and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of LUKAKU.
IM NOT THE MAID - Driver C Sharpe was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
MIDFREW LUCRE - lay inwards throughout the run home. Driver J Kriechbaumer admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Kriechbaumer's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 10 August 2025 (1 month).
Race 2   GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND MOBILE PACE
S S GUPPY - Co-Trainers S & A Telfer were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding to race with blinds which had not been notified. Broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
IFINDOUBT - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Driver P Ferguson could offer no explanation.
VALEREI - lost ground rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver D Butcher advised the gelding was still learning to race and was unable to quicken with the leaders rounding the final bend despite his urgings. Mr Butcher added the gelding had finished the race off well and he was pleased with the effort.
ABITIBI - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Paced roughly in the early stages having to be steadied.
LOVEABULL - held up final bend.
SHONTELLE - weakened in the run home.
Race 3   IRT. YOUR HORSE OUR PASSION HANDICAP TROT
ALL MUSCLED UP - broke shortly after the start losing ground before settling. Lay inwards rounding the bends. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
PRESIDENT FLYNNTIN - lay inwards rounding the bends.
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL - broke approaching the 100m and failed to settle. Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 4th placing under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging that the mare broke in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. The connections did not contest the protest and the mare was disqualified by Stewards.
JASINOVA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room early in the run home.
MAKAKU - trotted roughly passing the 1800m losing ground. Broke near the 250m losing all chance. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
KAIPAKI JACK - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
JOHNNY WHO - when questioned regarding the performance Driver C Hackett advised the gelding had been unsuited to the tempo of the race after starting from a 20m handicap over the short distance of tonight's race.
Race 4   JOIN US AT THE WDC IN NOVEMBER - wdc25.nz MOBILE PACE
INNOCENT MAN - over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards final bend striking track markers.
EYES TO HEAVEN - held up final bend before laying inwards striking a track marker.
BENSON DUDE - weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Driver S Abernethy advised the gelding was unsuited to racing in the parked position throughout.
JACCKA OPA - over-raced in the score up and through the early stages when being restrained to the rear of the field. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Driver K Coppins advised the gelding had been unsuited to the strong tempo of the race.
Race 5   GAVELHOUSE.COM SILK RD NORTHN TROTTING MARES HT 1 MOB TROT
BAFFLED - trotted roughly racing into the first bend.
BOSS JO - trotted roughly in the run home.
ELIZABETH HILL - lay outwards and trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
LOVE ON LINE - weakened leaving the final bend.
KUMANOVO - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TRIPPY TYRON - lay inwards rounding the bends.

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER - shifted out on straightening for the run home and was corrected by Driver C Hackett.
TWISTA - raced wide without cover from the 1100m. Weakened leaving the final bend.

FOR ALWAYS ARDEN - held up final bend.
FLYING DRAGON - weakened leaving the final bend.
THE NIGHT FOX - shifted outwards early in the run home after Driver C Hackett activated the removable deafeners before being corrected.
CHANGE TACT - shifted outwards early in the run home and was corrected by Driver M White.
IRISH WHISPERS - over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards rounding the bends.
ADJOURNMENT - raced wide early and middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.
SECRETS ABOUND - paced roughly on several occasions in the early stages losing ground. Weakened from the 400m. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Dickie advised that the gelding had worked hard in the middle stages with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 8   MID WINTER XMAS TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
MOENUI MISS - crowded near the 100m when an inside runner lay outwards.
STICK WITH ME - held up final bend. Crowded near the 100m when an outside runner lay inwards. Held up over the concluding stages. Stewards opened and adjourned an enquiry into the manner in which Driver J Stormont used his whip in the run home.
KOWALSKI - hung outwards rounding the final bend and throughout the run home when held up for clear racing room crowding an outside runner near the 100m.
WHAT ABOUT ME - out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver J Dickie. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards throughout the run home crowding an inside runner near the 100m.
