When questioned regarding the performance driver N Williamson advised the gelding had over-raced in the preliminary and although it settled prior to the start this had taken its toll over the latter stages of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have low grade lameness in the right fore and left hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. | |
