Race 1   MACCA LODGE MOBILE PACE
SAUCY DELIGHT - driver C Ferguson reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BLUE DRAGON - paced roughly shortly after the start losing ground.
SHOOTFORTHESTARS - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts at the request of trainer B McLellan.
MAJOR BURNS - over-raced through the middle stages.
Race 2   NZB STANDARDBRED LTD MOBILE PACE
SHERGAR - shifted out shortly after the start making contact with the sulky wheel of ACE OF SPADES forcing that runner wider. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ACE OF SPADES - shifted wider shortly after the start by an inside runner and made contact with the hind leg of COSMIC STAR.
COSMIC STAR - had its hind leg contacted by an inside runner shortly after the start and broke losing ground.
ADMIRAL STEVE - held up throughout the run home only obtaining clear racing room over the concluding stages.
Race 3   REGENT CAR COURT TROT
OUR ROSE HILL - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start.
LOVEONTHEHILL - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer R Heads.
PENELOPE LANE - shifted up the track under pressure over the concluding stages.
DAISYMEROLLIN - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
KIMBO - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start losing ground. Trotted roughly for a distance near the 1200m losing ground.
JAY BEE HILL - over-raced whilst leading in the early stages.
SIX O'CLOCK GERRY - broke passing the 1500m losing ground. Broke again passing the 800m losing all chance. Lost the near front plate during the running.
JOANY BABY - driver D O'Connell reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
KENNY'S MATE - broke passing the 1500m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN - trotted roughly rounding the final bend. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
TO THE MOON AND BACK - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m. Lay in leaving the final bend.
Race 4   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
BETTER BE WATCHING - weakened from the 400m. When spoken to regarding the performance of a favoured runner driver K Larsen advised that after beginning well he had wanted to keep the lead in the initial stages, however when challenged through this part of the race the mare commenced to over-race becoming difficult for Mr Larsen to ease to take a trail, with the mare only settling over the last half of the race.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up final bend and the early to middle stages of the run home.
ARTMORE - weakened in the run home.
MONTAGE - raced wide until reaching the parked position passing the 1500m.
EMERALD ABBEY - raced wide early.
CRUISING FONTANA - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
SARGENT BEST - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Stewards will speak with driver H Douglas in the coming days in regard the manner he drove near the 1600m.
GLENKENICK - lay in at various stages during the running contacting track markers.
Stewards spoke with drivers H Douglas (SARGENT BEST), assisted by M Williamson, and C Ferguson (ARTMORE) regarding the incident near the 1600m when ARTMORE shifted ground inwards resulting in SARGENT BEST having to be restrained. After viewing the footage and hearing from both drivers, C Ferguson was issued with a warning for the manner he shifted ground at this stage of the race.
Race 5   DIAMOND CREEK / SBSR SILK ROAD TROTTERS SERIES HANDICAP TROT
EMILY - lay out rounding the final bend and throughout the run home having to be corrected by driver M Hurrell.
Race 6   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS LTD MOBILE PACE
MIDNIGHT BABE - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - over-raced when in the parked position through the middle stages. Lay in on the final bend losing ground, causing driver C Dalgety some difficulty.
FUSION REACTOR - driver W House reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
RIGHTAZZ - raced three wide without cover from the 1300m.
STILLYOURSHOT - raced three wide with cover from the 1300m.
INDIANA ARDEN - over-raced middle stages.
NETHERTON FRANCO - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
DISCO INFERNO - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Trainer A Black advised Stewards on 6 July that RIGHTAZZ has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 7   WYNDHAM HARNESS RACING CLUB MOBILE PACE
HAZER - broke briefly shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Observed when returning to the birdcage to have blood present around the mouth and following a post-race veterinary examination was found to have an abrasion inside of its mouth.
BOMBAY GLACIER - broke in the score up hampering second line runners resulting in a false start being declared. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver E Barron elected to remain in her allocated position for the restart. Again broke in the score up of the restart hampering second line runners with the mare being declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 2.27pm acting under Starting Regulation 22.4. Connections were advised BOMBAY GLACIER was placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts and stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
PARADISE VALLEY - held up middle to latter stages of the run home.
SUPERFAST - hampered shortly after the start. Paced roughly for a distance in the early stages before settling.
FOREVER ARDEN - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after being observed to have blood present in its mouth following the two false starts and was found to have a small cut on its lip being cleared to start. Held up final bend and early stages of the run home. Driver R McIlwrick was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted over the concluding stages of the run home when held up and electing not to take a run to his inside which became available inside the final 100 metres. Mr McIlwrick explained that his gelding had become worked up after the two false starts and having to undergo a veterinary examination. He added that he was hard on the back of MR PRESIDENT and was aware that there was room to his inside over the concluding stages however because the gelding was travelling so well in this position he was reluctant to attempt a shift inwards off Mr Barclay's helmet or activate the removable deafeners for safety reasons, due to being in such close proximity to the sulky of MR PRESIDENT. Stewards accepted and noted Mr McIlwrick's comments.
Race 8   KBR INSURANCE BROKERS MOBILE PACE
There was a delay to the start of this event due to the two false starts in the previous race.
MAJOR ART - broke rounding the first bend and shifted out hampering and checking trailing and outside runners, losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
VINCHETTO - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend, being forced wider on the track losing ground.
THE REAL CRUNCH - briefly hampered by a breaking runner first bend. Unable to obtain clear racing room throughout the run home.
TRENDY VAN GOGH - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend, being forced wider on the track losing ground. Lay in early stages of the run home.
TROJAN PRINCESS - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend losing ground.
JACCKA HENRY - held up over the concluding stages. Driver B Barclay reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
HERE'S JOHNY - checked by a breaking runner rounding the first bend and broke in consequence, losing all chance.
Race 9   ICON INTERIOR CONSTRUCTION HANDICAP TROT
POPNROCK - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. Broke on a further occasion rounding the final bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
OUR SUPERFUND - broke after 200m losing considerable ground.
GIFT CARD - locked sulky wheels with ANDY HALL for a distance passing the 200m.
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - broke rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners, losing all chance. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
ANDY HALL - trainer L Bond was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after presenting the gelding without the notified blinds, with the gear being fitted prior to the start. Locked sulky wheels with GIFT CARD for a distance passing the 200m.
Connections advised Stewards on 10 July that POPNROCK has had it hocks treated since last racing.
Race 10   PHILLIPS TRANSPORT / BRETT GRAY RACING STABLES MOBILE PACE
BROOKIES PLAYER - held up rounding the final bend and early stages of the run home. Driver M Hill was warned for failing to advise Stewards he had received a punctured sulky tyre in the run home.
REMISSION - held up final bend and throughout the run home making contact with the sulky wheel of BROOKIES PLAYER when over-racing. Driver S Hill reported he did not activate the removable deafeners as a consequence.
ULTIMATE CULLECT - raced wide early. Held up final bend and for the majority of the run home only gaining clear racing room over the concluding stages.
MIKI BENNETT - blundered then paced roughly passing the 150m having to be steadied by driver T Williams.
INSARCHATWIST - weakened over the concluding stages.
