Trainer G Turner advised Stewards on 11 June that SIR MONTY has undergone blood tests and an endoscopic examination following its last start with no abnormalities being detected. Mr Turner added that he would continue with the gelding's current preparation. |

Following an Appeal hearing on 13 June regarding the penalty imposed on driver N Williamson (SIMPLY AMAZING) for admitting a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations, the Appeals Tribunal dismissed the Appeal and upheld the original penalty of a five day suspension. Due to Mr Williamson having already served two days of this suspension before being granted a stay of proceedings, the remaining three days will be served after the completion of racing on 13 June up to and including 22 June 2025. |

When questioned regarding the tactics adopted during the running, trainer/driver C Ferguson advised that the gelding is best driven for one run and is not suited to working during the running. Mr Ferguson further explained that he shifted outwards near the 700m in an attempt to secure a trail into the race. However, when this did not eventuate, he was left to improve wide from the rear of the field rounding the final bend. He added that he was not overly disappointed with the performance, considering the closing sectionals. Stewards noted Mr Ferguson's comments. |
