Race 1   BURNARD INTERNATIONAL - 'SOUTH OF THE BOMBAYS' MOBILE PACE
MURTLE THE TURTLE - lay inwards at various stages. Lay inwards contacting track markers near the 750m. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - driver M Ranger reported that she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
DIXIELAND DELIGHT - lay inwards contacting track markers near the 750m. Held up early stages of the run home.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Easy.
Race 2   NGS WORLD TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
BEACHBREAK - broke early in the run home losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BRUNTWOOD BRIGADE - unsuccessfully challenged for the lead through the middle stages. Lay inwards rounding the bends. Weakened from the 400m. When questioned regarding the performance driver Z Butcher advised the gelding had hung throughout causing him difficulty and was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
KEVIN KLINE - raced wide passing the 1700m. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule however it was established that BETA PREPARE had always been racing in the running line and had not forced KEVIN KLINE wider on the track.
ALWAYS BE MATTIE - raced wide early. Connections advised the gelding had cast the off fore shoe during the running.
SWEET MAGGIE MAE - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dickie advised the filly had been challenged for the lead through the middle stages with the effort taking its toll.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Slushy.
Race 3   MARLIN TRANSPORT -SILK ROAD NORTHERN SERIES HT 3 MOB PACE
SEA OF LOVE - held up early in the run home.
ALLETS - lay outwards leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
PRINCESS OF SAVOY - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
MELODY BANNER - lay inwards throughout the run home causing driver J Dickie some difficulty.
TOSANA - held up early in the run home.
Race 4   MONDIALE VGL - STAR PERSONNEL HANDICAP PACE
MATAI PHIL - over-raced passing the 1500m when being restrained to obtain cover.
MINJEE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Held up early in the run home.
LEO LINCOLN - over-raced middle stages.
MANTRA BLUE - briefly lay inwards into the passing lane early in the run home having to be corrected by driver M Ranger.
Race 5   ROCKET FREIGHT - SILK ROAD NORTHERN F & M TROT HT 1 HCP TROT
A false start was declared when the barrier strands on the 10m and 20m mark failed to clear SANS AU REVOIR and OCEAN EYES.
PARAMOUNT LADY - fractious prior to the start. Held up leaving the final bend.
SHESGOLD - began awkwardly. Over-raced middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
SANINARMBRO - trainer R Downey was warned for presenting the mare with a pacifier instead of the notified blinds. Tangled away. Over-raced middle stages.
SANS AU REVOIR - fractious prior to the start. Weakened leaving the final bend.
VERY MAJESTIC - fractious prior to the restart. Broke at the start losing all chance.
OCEAN EYES - fractious prior to the start.
JASINOVA - raced wide early.
Race 6   DIRECT COURIERS EXPRESS MOBILE PACE
ALWAYS ASK - weakened leaving the final bend.
BETTOR BE A LEGEND - lay inwards in the early stages of the run home having to be corrected by driver J Stormont.
PRINCESS LISA - co-trainers S & A Telfer were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the filly to race without the notified blinds. Held up rounding the final bend and over the concluding stages.
ALWAYS B MAGIC - required the assistance of a starting attendant prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
Race 7   THE PETER ALABASTER MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
JOHNNY TROTTER - fractious prior to the start. Cast a bell boot near the 150m.
HEAVENLY BELLE - pre-race warmed. Lay outwards leaving the final bend and trotted roughly in the run home.
BOSS JO - raced wide from the 700m.
SAXON REIGNS - late scratching at 8.45am after racing at the Waikato BOP Harness meeting on 5 June 2025.
SANTAPAZIENZA - cast a bell boot near the 700m.
KENNY HILL - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1000m.
BERTHA'S PRIDE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Over-raced middle stages. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
