Race 1   CREATION SIGNS MOBILE PACE
SUPERFAST - held up early stages of the run home.
TASHS BAD GIRL - raced wide final bend. Junior driver N Kyle, assisted by A Kyle, was shown a replay of the final stages and reminded of her obligation to drive her horses out fully to the finish in the future, to ensure that her drives leave no room for query.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - raced wide early.
EMERALD ABBEY - held up final bend and for the majority of the run home.
Race 2   NIGHT 'N DAY WINTON TROT
TO THE MOON AND BACK - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. Authorisation of this runner's 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
JOANY BABY - broke briefly at the start.
SHAKEDOWN - broke at the start losing all chance.
SEBASTIAN STARK - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly in the run home.
THE GREEK FREAK - trotted roughly and broke after 140m losing ground. Broke again rounding the final bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. Co-trainer R Stevens advised he would be making gear changes.
THE MERC - driver K Bublitz reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
WHICH WAY - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Lay outwards rounding the final bend. Driver B Barclay was warned for the manner in which he used his whip rounding the final bend.
PHISHING - weakened final bend. Driver T Robertson was warned for using his whip on a runner when out of contention.
Race 3   MACCA LODGE 2YO MOBILE PACE
TREACHEROUS ME - lay out throughout the run home having to be straightened by driver N Williamson.
CAPTAIN CHRISTINA - hung inwards as the start was effected. Lay outwards racing into the first bend and broke when HAVTIMETODREAM crossed to the trailing position, hampering trailing runners losing considerable ground. Stewards spoke with drivers M Williamson and P Hunter (HAVTIMETODREAM) regarding this and after hearing from both drivers a warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
SIMPLY AMAZING - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend.
SEASIDE BRUCIE - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend.
Race 4   SOUTHBUILD ITM WINTON MOBILE PACE
HAZER - over-raced through the middle stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
THE ORANGE ROUGHY - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange could offer no tangible explanation.
RAKERO LIGHTNING - weakened over the concluding stages.
NYLA - held up final bend.
DARE DEVIL - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a weakening runner in the early and middle stages of the run home placing driver C Dalgety in some difficulty, resulting in the gelding striking the sulky wheel of FOREVER ARDEN. Stewards questioned junior driver C Dalgety regarding the tactics he adopted during the race, particularly near the 600m, when he allowed his runner to be covered by the sharply improving JENNY GUMP. Mr Dalgety explained that the mare was hanging on the right rein and that he was reluctant to shift three wide at that stage of the race, given the distance remaining to the winning post. Stewards noted Mr Dalgety's explanation and took into account the manner the runner had been driven at its most recent start.
MAGNETIC BECKERS - hung inwards rounding the final bend.
DURRANT - held up early stages of the run home. Driver N Williamson was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
JENNY GUMP - raced wide from the 700m.
FOREVER ARDEN - raced wide until reaching the parked position passing the 1600m.
Race 5   FORKLIFTS NZ LTD TROT
POPNROCK - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
HAIL STONE - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination at the start and was cleared to race. Weakened final bend. Stood down to trial on one occasion in a competitive manner to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
HARRIET'S MOMENT - backed away and refused to score up losing all chance. Declared a non-runner by order of Stewards acting under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TILLABERI - broke near the 200m losing all chance.
SHEILA LAXON - raced wide early.
Race 6   ALABAR NZ LTD MOBILE PACE
CONQUER ROCK - shifted ground outwards near the 300m hampering runners to the outside. Junior driver O Kite, assisted by N Williamson, was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in the future.
SHERGAR - hampered near the 300m. Driver K Green reported a sulky tyre had deflated during the running.
NANA'S LITTLE TERROR - paced roughly shortly after the start losing ground.
COSMIC STAR - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1700m. Lay inwards near the 250m despite the efforts of driver B Orange placing HOKONUI JOEL in restricted room and briefly locked sulky wheels with that runner.
HOKONUI JOEL - raced wide early. Briefly locked sulky wheels with COSMIC STAR near the 250m.
MACANDREW ROYALE - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Paced roughly near the 300m losing ground. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SUZANNE - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 1.56pm. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
ACE OF SPADES - hampered near the 300m.
SAUCY DELIGHT - over-raced early stages. Lay out throughout the run home having to be corrected by driver C Ferguson.
CRACKASKY - over-raced through the middle stages.
Race 7   SOUTHLAND FARM MACHINERY MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when ABULL reared in the score up and shifted inwards, locking sulky wheels with TRENDY VAN GOGH. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver R McIlwrick elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
MAJOR ART - raced wide early.
CRUISING FONTANA - raced three wide without cover throughout. Weakened final bend.
TRENDY VAN GOGH - raced wide early.
ABULL - raced wide early.
NO PERFECT PRINCESS - held up early stages of the run home.
SHOWCASE - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 8   MARSHALL INDUSTRIES LTD HANDICAP TROT
ERROL D - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 11.45am. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
SPELLS OF LOVE - held up early stages of the run home.
XERION - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
SAMANTHAS MOON - struck a track marker rounding the final bend. Driver K Green was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
DOMINATION'S CALL - held up early stages of the run home.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - fractious prior to the start. Refused to trot away and swung around after the barrier was released losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.
Race 9   DIAMOND CREEK FARM / SBSR SILK ROAD SERIES HT 2 MOBILE PACE
DOUBLE QUICK - pre-race warmed.
REMISSION - raced wide early.
INSARCHATWIST - raced wide early.
TOKYO ROSE - raced wide early. Raced wide from the 700m. Lay inwards rounding the final bend.
FRANCENT - raced wide early. The chin guard displaced during the running.
KENSI - broke briefly in the score up and was back from the Unruly position at the start.
Race 10   RYAL BUSH TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
RUSTENBURG - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver C Ferguson advised he was disappointed with the effort after the gelding had worked well leading into today's race.
STILL ROCKIN - paced roughly entering the first bend.
THE LAZARUS EFFECT - driver C Dalgety reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SLOTS - raced wide from the 500m.
BOBBIES ROCK - weakened final bend.
ALWAYS DREAMING - the clip on the near side number broke during the running. When questioned regarding the performance, trainer/driver N Williamson advised that it was his intention to go forward however, the gelding felt lethargic upon release, so he elected to restrain. He added that the race was not run to suit thereafter, further stating that he was not overly disappointed with the effort.
MR CASH MAN - held up rounding the final bend.
BROOKIES PLAYER - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
