Race 1 - LIVAMOL AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
Amateur driver C Negus (assisted by B Negus) defended a charge under Rule 868(2) alleging she failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible position and finishing place when electing not to shift FOVEAUX GAMBLER wider on the track passing the 1200m to obtain the one one position. After viewing the replays and hearing from all parties the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.

SWEET RAINE - held up rounding the final bend by a weakening runner.
FRANCO HUMBIE - broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
THE NEXT BEST THING - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
GEORGIE ZUKOV - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
KASARANI - raced wide early.
ELUSIVE DREAMS - raced wide from the 1100m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt advised the filly had raced lethargically throughout and he had been disappointed with the effort. Returned to the assembly area with blood present in one nostril. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination confirmed that the filly was not a bleeder. Mr Butt advised the filly would now be sent for a spell.
MAJOR PERFORMER - raced wide from the 1100m.
COMMANDER JOE - held up rounding the final bend by a weakening runner. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
OCEAN OF TEARS - driver G O'Reilly advised he sustained a punctured sulky tyre in the run home.
HAPPY HARPER - held up early in the run home.
JACK TAR - raced wide early and middle stages. Held up early in the run home. Driver B Hope admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 200m when allowing his runner to strike the sulky wheel of OCEAN OF TEARS with the tyre being punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Slushy.

MARINERS ROSE - paced roughly for a distance passing the 1000m. Lay inwards and raced greenly on several occasions throughout the running.
Race 3   AVON CITY FORD 'RACING REWARDS' MOBILE PACE
APATCHOFGOLD - driver J Curtin advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
MEGYN KELLY - hung inwards and paced roughly for a distance passing the 1000m hampering a trailing runner. Weakened passing the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance driver O Thornley advised the mare had been unsuited to the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TOPAZ - trainer J McDermott was issued a warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified removable deafeners which were affixed prior to the start. Held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
NYLA - weakened final bend.
FAREWELL SPIT - weakened final bend.
MATAI HARRY - lay in and struck track markers rounding the final bend.
PENNY WEIGHT - hampered near the 900m. Weakened early in the run home.
TIMBIMBOO - over-raced middle stages and despite the efforts of driver S Ottley struck the sulky wheel of OKIWI BAY approaching the 1250m. Raced wide from the 1200m. Weakened final bend.
SOPHIA BROMAC - pre-race warmed. Trainer M Smolenski was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky.
Trainer M Smolenski advised Stewards on 29 April that SOPHIA BROMAC has had its fetlocks treated since last racing.
Race 4   ROAD METALS 'RACING REWARDS' TROT
BRIANNA - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened passing the 500m.
TINKERBELLE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TAKE AFTER ME - trainer F Scott was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky.
LOTUS FRANCO - broke after 100m hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Weakened final bend.
T K MEGASTAR - unable to take up its rightful position at the start when being crowded by runners either side. Hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Held up leaving the final bend. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had viewed replays of the start with driver R Holmes and Starter R Donnelly. Stewards subsequently declared T K MEGASTAR a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(j), having determined the horse was denied a fair start.
BRIAN BEATT - over-raced middle stages.
BROTHER LOVE - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver G Smith advised the gelding had been suited to dictating terms in front when able to lead in the early stages.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - broke after 100m losing ground.
JACCKA BAYLIS - switched to a pace after 150m before breaking and losing ground. Weakened from the 600m.
KOKO KABOOM - broke passing the 2100m losing all chance.
JORDAN ANNE - held up leaving the final bend.
SPEEDING SPIRIT - broke passing the 700m losing all chance.

OHOKA COBRA - driver D Dolan was issued a warning for using her whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.
POSEIDON - fractious prior to the start. Weakened final bend.
CRYSTAL - held up final bend.
IAMTHECAPTAINNOW - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Cox. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver J Cox was unable to provide any explanation and was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Mr Cox advised he will have blood tests taken from the filly in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
BLAZING KNUCKLES - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R May. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Raced wide from the 800m.
WHATZ MY CHOICE - over-raced middle stages. Raced wide from the 700m.
BETTOR OFF - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Broke again near the 650m losing all chance, A warning was also placed on the racing record of the filly.
ROYAL BELLE - paced roughly racing into the first bend. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
NILA MAREE - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
Trainer J Cox advised Stewards on 24 April that blood tests taken from IAMTHECAPTAINNOW revealed muscle tie-up, which has since been treated.

MUSCLE SASS - broke near the 1200m losing all chance and was retired from the race.
ROYDON MUSCLE - trainer C McDowell was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky.
I DREAM OF JEANNIE - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised the mare had been unsuited to racing in the parked position in its first start back after a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Trainer S Smolenski reported that I DREAM OF JEANNIE has recovered well following her last start. He stated that the mare was unsuited to racing in the parked position and expected the horse to derive significant benefit from the run, having been first-up from a spell.
Race 7   WOODLANDS STUD 'RACING REWARDS' MOBILE PACE
DECEPTIVE LEE - over-raced middle stages.
THE BEACH HOUSE - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
AUNTIE DEB - over-raced middle stages. Held up leaving the final bend.
TERRORMYLOVE - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
FOLLOW ME FANTASY - weakened final bend.
HUGO - raced wide early. Shifted outwards rounding the final bend checking outside runners. Stewards questioned drivers S Thornley (HUGO), G O'Reilly (TROUBLESHOOTER) and S Ottley (TACT TEENA) regarding this incident and after hearing their evidence issued Mr Thornley with a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) and the Shifting Ground Regulations alleging he drove carelessly when shifting outwards near the 400m checking TROUBLESHOOTER and TACT TEENA with TACT TEENA breaking and losing all chance. Mr Thornley (assisted by K Barron) defended the charge and after viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Thornley's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 25 April up to and including 30 April 2025 (2 days).
GATECRASHER - held up early in the run home.
JAZZY STYX - weakened final bend.
TROUBLESHOOTER - trainer M Heenan was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky. Checked when an inside runner shifted outwards rounding the final bend.
TACT TEENA - checked and broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
Race 8   PLUMBERS NIGHT JUNE 27 2025 BOOK NOW! HANDICAP PACE
BUILT FOR GLORY - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the horse.
HOMEBUSH LAD - co-trainers G & B Hope were issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to their sulky.

SEASIDE POND - weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver J Cox could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Mr Cox advised he will have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
ANN SOPHIE - raced wide from the 800m. Weakened leaving the final bend.
COUNTRY GOLD - held up leaving the final bend.
SOFIA ROSE - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
JUST ASK PADDY - raced wide early.
AVENGER - held up by a weakening runner passing the 600m. Held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver R May defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly when shifting outwards near the 125m checking GEM N EM (C Dalgety). After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from both drivers and Stewards, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $300.
DANCING DESIRE - raced wide early.
HI HOPES - weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Hill advised the mare had over-raced when leading with the effort taking its toll.
TASI AHNAU - weakened from the 900m. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
GEM N EM - checked by an inside runner which shifted ground outwards near the 125m.
Trainer J Cox advised Stewards on 24 April that blood tests taken from SEASIDE POND revealed a virus, which has since been treated.
Race 10   GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND 'RACING REWARDS' MOBILE PACE
FOLLOW YOUR DREAM - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
DOCTOR TIM - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room early in the run home.
SHAKIRA - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
FRANCENT - raced wide early. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised the mare had worked hard in the early stages to obtain the parked position with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
TOKYO ROSE - hampered by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
TEMPO WARRIOR - weakened leaving the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
STICKIFINGERS - held up early in the run home.

MM SUNSHINE - hampered final bend by a weakening runner.
ROYAL DEL - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
PRACTICAL MAGIC - trotted roughly in the run home.
BULLIT TRAIN - locked wheels with PARIS PRINCE passing the 850m hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
VERTIGO - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
SILVERLININGS - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 2050m losing all chance.
MAVIS JONES - pre-race warmed. Crowded outside runners prior to the start. Broke at the start losing all chance. A Request for a Ruling was lodged to determine whether MAVIS JONES had been denied a fair start. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and driver B Hope the Adjudicative Committee declared MAVIS JONES to be a runner. Mr Hope defended a breach of Rule 859(2) alleging that he allowed his horse to start from the incorrect barrier position. After hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Hope, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $400.
WHO'S QUEEN - pre-race warmed. Trainer M Jones was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky. Hampered by an inside runner prior to the start and was unable to take up its correct barrier position. Raced wide from the 1300m. Weakened from the 600m. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had viewed replays of the start with driver C Dalgety and Starter R Donnelly. Stewards subsequently declared WHO'S QUEEN a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(j), having determined the horse was denied a fair start.
FORGIVENESS - hampered by an inside runner prior to the start. Broke shortly after the start and again after 100m losing ground. Broke again passing the 700m losing all chance. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had viewed replays of the start with driver B Butt and Starter R Donnelly. Stewards subsequently declared FORGIVENESS a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(j), having determined the horse was denied a fair start.
THE PRESENT MAKER - pre-race warmed. Hampered by an inside runner prior to the start. Raced wide early. Hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend. Driver W House advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to the gelding trotting roughly in the run home.
PARIS PRINCE - locked wheels with BULLIT TRAIN passing the 850m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Stewards questioned drivers B Orange (PARIS PRINCE) and R May (BULLIT TRAIN) regarding this incident and after considering their explanation Stewards were unable to apportion blame onto any one horse or driver and took the matter no further. Mr Orange advised the gelding had lay inwards at various stages throughout.
HELLOVEAMOMENT - hampered passing the 850m losing all chance.
Race 12   GOLD BAND TAXI MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed due to the Protest in the previous race.
FIVE CROWNS - over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards final bend when attempting to shift wider on the track and paced roughly.
TREACHEROUS BABY - raced wide final bend.
HADRON COLLIDER - raced wide final bend.
SELSEY ANNE - broke after 100m losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.
