Race 1   WINTON NEW WORLD MOBILE
CHEZZ DALE - driver O Kite, assisted by N Williamson, admitted a charge under the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) that he shifted ground outwards near the 1020m forcing EMERALD ABBEY wider on the track. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $150.
MIKI COHEN - driver K Green admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
EMERALD ABBEY - raced wider on the track near the 1020m when an inside runner shifted ground outwards from the marker line. Weakened final bend.
RAKNRUIN - weakened final bend.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - raced wide early. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
SPORTY CHARLIE - weakened over the concluding stages.
CLAASEE - driver R McIlwrick reported that he sustained a punctured sulky tyre which came off the rim racing into the first bend when racing to the inside of TUNEINSPORTSFANS, with the mare being retired from the race. After speaking with drivers R McIlwrick and S Ottley (TUNEINSPORTSFANS) and viewing the replays which proved inconclusive, Stewards were unable to apportion fault to any one horse or driver and accordingly took the matter no further.

Race 2   GOODMAN PLUMBING / UPPERCUTS BUTCHERY TROT
SPIRITINTHESKY - broke passing the 1300m hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
EMILY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1300m.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - weakened final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bilateral hind limb lameness. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
ERROL D - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1300m.
OUR PINOCCHIO - raced wide early.
RANDEL HUSTON P - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1300m and broke in consequence losing all chance.
LIL WHIP - raced wide early.
Race 3   JIM MCCONNELL / VIE OVERTON MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
FIRST LIGHT - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
MR PRESIDENT - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
MAGIC SIGN - raced wide early. Over-raced at stages throughout. Held up final bend and the early stages of the run home.
TILLY DUNNAGE - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. Driver S Hill reported the mare had paced roughly throughout. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed some swelling inside the left fore knee. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
AIRWAVES - raced four wide from the 950m.
FOREVER ARDEN - raced four wide for a distance passing the 950m.
Race 4   MURRAY GRAY MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
TREACHEROUS DREAMS - placed in restricted room leaving the final bend when an outside runner lay in.
D MAC - lay in leaving the final bend placing an inside runner in restricted room.
Race 5   TAFFY LTD HANDICAP TROT
IMPERIAL MAN - paced after 150m having to be broken up by driver R McIlwrick losing all chance.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again passing the 1200m losing all chance, with the mare being retired from the race.
ONE TWO MENNY - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Stood down to complete one standing start trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
SAMANTHAS MOON - lay out throughout the run home despite the efforts of driver K Green.
ANDY HALL - tangled away.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - fractious prior to the start. Held up early stages of the run home.
Race 6   ENTAIN 2YO FILLIES SOUTHERN CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
SECRET WISH - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
Race 7   MACCA LODGE / NEVELE R SOUTHERN OAKS HEAT (MOBILE PACE)
Stewards spoke with drivers N Williamson (UTAH JAZZ) and W House (VINCENT REACTRESS) regarding their runners being back off the gate at the dispatch. Both drivers advised that due to the speed of the mobile in the score up and it being positioned wider on the track they were both reluctant to chase their respective runners from outside barriers after being placed in restricted room rounding the bend. After speaking with Starter B Ward and viewing the replays Stewards accepted their explanation in relation to this matter.
KATYS SHADOW - required the assistance of a Starters Attendant in the pre-race formation and then refused to score up taking no part in the event. Declared a non-runner by order of Stewards acting under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Stood down to complete one mobile trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
IMPRESSIVE SHARD - lay out rounding the first bend.
RASPALIA - paced roughly through the middle stages and again leaving the final bend.
MARYANNE GOLIGHTLY - paced roughly at stages throughout.
Race 8   ALABAR SOUTHERN SUPREMACY STAKES HEAT (MOBILE PACE)
HERE'S JOHNY - raced wide early.
ARTFUL BROMAC - held up over the concluding stages.
CRUNCH TIME - raced wide until reaching the parked position passing the 850m.
ALWAYS DREAMING - raced wide until reaching the parked position passing the 650m.
Race 9   ALL LAY CARPETS & DRAPES WINTON CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
DENY EVERYTHING - held up final bend.
BOBBIES ROCK - weakened final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
STILL ROCKIN - over-raced early stages.
WAG STAR - held up final bend.
Race 10   VETSOUTH EQUINE/S.S.B.A. SOUTHERN BELLE FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
SEASIDE ROSE - driver T Williams reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SWEET DIAMOND - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 8.10am.
INSARCHATWIST - raced wide early.
SNAP SHOT - raced wide early.
Race 11   C & R MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared at the first attempt when BROOKIES PLAYER broke in the score up hampering second line runners. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Driver M Hill elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
JENNY GUMP - lay in final bend contacting track markers. Sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 400m.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - retired from the race by driver B Barclay near the 850m due to making abnormal breathing noises. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare.
BETTING SENSATION - held up for clear racing room through the early and middle stages of the run home.
MY FRIEND LOUIE - raced wide early.
SLOTS - over-raced rounding the final bend when held up and proved difficult for driver N Burton then struck the sulky wheel of JENNY GUMP near the 400m resulting in the tyre puncturing. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
FALCONS WATCH - lay in final bend when weakening contacting track markers.
REMISSION - over-raced early stages.
