KD GRINS - broke at the start losing ground.
MACHO MAN - began awkwardly.
MISS MADDIE MAXIE - began awkwardly and was slow in the early stages. Lay inwards rounding the bends. Trotted roughly middle stages.
Race 2   CHRISTCHURCH SOUTH COMMUNITY PATROL MOBILE PACE
BLACKLAZ - co-trainers M & N Purdon were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds.
SURREAL MORAN - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Trainer D Keast advised the gelding will be sent for a spell.
LOOKIN SNAZZY - lay inwards near the 1100m striking a track marker.
Race 3   GH BUILDING LTD PACE
NEWBIEMAINS ARDEN - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.

MELTON MOGUL - trainer M Shinn was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with blinds which had not been notified.
WHATZ MY CHOICE - raced wide early and middle stages.
ARISTA - trainer D Keast advised the horse has been gelded since last racing. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke briefly.
MANDALA - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.

BODACIOUS - lay inwards final bend losing ground.

SOLEMN SON - trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Weakened near the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities with further assessment recommended. Trainer/driver I Cameron advised he would have blood tests taken in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
ANNROSE - broke after 100m losing ground.
VERY MAJESTIC - slow to begin. Hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages losing ground.
LOVE YOU WILMA - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 700m.
RANDEL HUSTON P - trotted roughly in the run home.
Race 5   DONAGHYS PROEQUINE HANDICAP PACE
COUNTRY GOLD - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
DAVE DULEY - broke at the start losing ground. Driver J Dunn admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.

MAJOR HIPSTER - junior driver S Hill was issued a warning for striking and racing inside a track marker early in the run home when attempting to improve where insufficient room existed.
DENNIS DENUTO - driver R Close advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking.
ECHAPPE - paced roughly through the middle stages.
Race 6   COBBITTY EQUINE FARM 'LEONARD MEMORIAL' (MOBILE PACE)
HAVTIMEWILLFLY - weakened early in the run home.
B B CRUNCH - paced roughly before breaking racing into the first bend losing ground. Weakened rounding the final bend.

QUEEN LIZZY - late scratched on veterinary advice at 1.05pm.
Race 7   MORGAN SHEARING TROT
The start was delayed one minute at the request of Raceday Control.
PAIGE - trainer B Negus admitted a breach of Rule 865(2) in that he presented the mare to race without the notified pacifier. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200. Trotted roughly in the run home.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide early and middle stages.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - trotted roughly early stages.
Race 8   CHEVIOT BUSINESSES 'CHEVIOT CUP' (HANDICAP PACE)
TEDS LEGACY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver J Curtin advised he did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
KOURTNEY KARDASH - broke at the start losing ground.
COMMANDER BEN - over-raced middle stages. Held up leaving the final bend.
RADHA - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Raced wide from the 800m.
TANZANIA - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Held up throughout the run home.
XLENDI - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide early. Driver B Butt was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion early in the run home.
WINNYZBACK - broke at the start losing ground.
DANCE TILL DAWN - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
BETTERTHANCASH - lay inwards in the run home briefly crowding an inside runner near the 100m. Stewards questioned driver R Close regarding this incident who advised the gelding had proved difficult to steer over the concluding stages and he would be recommending gear changes. Notwithstanding this Mr Close was advised to make a greater effort to correct his runner and maintain a straight course in the run home.
BUILT FOR GLORY - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide from the 700m. Briefly crowded near the 100m.
Race 9   ARTHUR BURKE LTD (AMBERLEY) MOBILE PACE
LOGAN ROCK - held up late in the run home.
MY TEN GUITARS - held up early in the run home. Locked wheels with MIKRA WAVE when held up late in the run home.
GATECRASHER - driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MELODY BANNER - raced wide early.
MIKRA WAVE - locked wheels with MY TEN GUITARS late in the run home.
TOPAZ - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - over-raced early stages.
Race 10   CHEVIOT CONCRETE & AMURI READY MIX HANDICAP TROT
THE PRESENT MAKER - pre-race warmed. Broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
NUBLIAH CHAMAY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
Race 11   CHEVIOT LICENCING TRUST HOTEL MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed due to JACK TAR requiring a change of sulky.
FAREWELL SPIT - trainer A Stuart was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified anti choke device which was fitted prior to the start.
VINRULES - raced wide from the 1200m.
ALLBETSROFF - over-raced early and middle stages. Raced wide from the 1300m. Weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised the gelding had been striking the sulky wheel discs. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - paced roughly and lay inwards into the passing lane early in the run home having to be corrected by driver J Curtin.
RAGAZZO MAJOR - the required veterinary clearance was received. Raced wide until reaching the parked position at the 1900m. Weakened in the run home.
DESTINY DANCE - driver R Harrison advised she did not activate the hopple shorteners due to the gelding pacing roughly.
MAJOR PERFORMER - over-raced middle stages. Locked wheels with JACK TAR for a distance rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners. Paced roughly in the run home.
ITZ FLASH HARRY - held up leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of connections revealed mucous in the trachea. Trainer T Yesberg advised the gelding will be sent for a spell.
PERAKI SEELSTER - held up leaving the final bend.
DANCE WITH THE BOSS - over-raced early and middle stages. Raced wide from the 1400m. Paced roughly under pressure rounding the final bend and again in the run home when weakening.
JACK TAR - raced wide early. Locked wheels with MAJOR PERFORMER for a distance rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners. After questioning drivers M Williamson (MAJOR PERFORMER) and H Sail (JACK TAR), Stewards issued a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) which Mr Sail (who declined the assistance of a senior driver) admitted, alleging he drove carelessly rounding the final bend by failing to concede his position resulting in his runner locking wheels with MAJOR PERFORMER. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Sail's junior driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 11 April up to and including 21 April 2025 (3 days).
