Race 1   BROSNAN TRANSPORT PASSING LANE TROT
The start was delayed due to WHISPERING MAJESTIC charging the barrier strand with all runners being turned out of line. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BIG AL - held up early in the run home.
REGAL SPIRIT - required assistance from a Starting Attendant prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 200m and continued on in a break for a considerable distance despite the efforts of driver S Thornley.
PHANTOM SPUR - broke early in the run home losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
MONARO MEDORA - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
CALMBEFORETHESTORM - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
JUST CHARLIE - broke after 200m losing all chance.
Race 2   NEW WORLD TIMARU MOBILE PACE
BRONSKI - broke in the score up losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
ESMARELDA - lay outwards throughout the run home.
ROBBIE GOLIGHTLY - hung inwards at various stages throughout causing driver M Williamson difficulty. Weakened leaving the final bend.
CRUSHEM GIRL - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S Ottley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SANTA CRUZ - over-raced middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed swelling to the near fore flexor tendon. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
CRUISE DENARIO - weakened from the 500m.
Race 3   SOUTHWEST REFRIGERATION LTD PACE
The start was delayed due to ART JORDAN being fractious. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
IDEAL CONQUEROR - late scratching at 11.45am on Veterinary advice.
ART JORDAN - held up early in the run home.
GAMELY - broke at the start losing ground.
THE TOWN OF LIGHT - driver S Clarke was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.
SPRED SHEET - slow in the early stages.

ANYTIME AT ALL - held up early in the run home.
INTERPOL - held up early in the run home.
MILEY ACE - raced wide early.

Race 5   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES/JIM WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL TROT
CLYDE - broke briefly shortly after the start.
RACEY KRUSA - raced wide from the 1000m.
SILVESTER - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home. Broke near the 50m and continued on in a break across the finish line.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - raced wide early.
SHEZA TRENDY ONE - held up early in the run home.
PRINCE RANIER - broke near the 150m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 6   PERFORMANCE EQUINE LTD MOBILE PACE
TIMBIMBOO - over-raced early and middle stages.
CHAL VEE POWER - raced wide early.
KELTIC TIGER - broke in the score up however was in position at the start.
LORD FANTASY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
Race 7   TURF SERVICES READYLAWN TIMARU HANDICAP PACE
APATCHOFGOLD - broke at the start and shifted up the track briefly hampering an outside runner.
SANTANNA MACH - briefly hampered at the start.
MICK ALMIGHTY - slow to begin. Lay inwards early stages of the run home.
Race 8   PLACEMAKERS TIMARU TROT
TONY MAC - raced wide early. Broke near the 1600m when racing over the crossing losing ground. Weakened final bend. Junior driver H Sail, who declined assistance from a Senior driver, admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 1150m when allowing his runner to strike and puncture the sulky wheel of AVEROSS MAJESTY. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Sail's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 6 April up to and including 11 April 2025 (2 days).
SHARMA TROUBLE - weakened final bend.
AVEROSS MAJESTY - driver R May reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 1150m.
DRAGONHILL - switched to a pace near the 350m having to be restrained by driver R Holmes losing all chance.
MIKKO KOIVU - slow to begin and failed to race competitively losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
Race 9   NEXT MEETING SUNDAY 25 MAY MOBILE PACE
SHANNON B - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room early in the run home.
HI HOPES - held up early in the run home. Connections advised the mare upon returning to the stable was showing early signs of a respiratory infection and will be treated prior to resuming.
TROUBLESHOOTER - trainer M Heenan advised the mare has had a knee treated since last racing. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
