Race 1   COMBINED SERVICES CLUB TWIZEL TROT
MEANDAD - trotted roughly throughout the run home and was unable to be driven out by driver S Ottley.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - connections advised the mare has been treated for stomach ulcers since last racing.
SHARMA TROUBLE - broke at the start losing all chance.
SON E - trotted roughly rounding the final bend. Held up over the concluding stages. Driver M Williamson reported the gelding had trotted roughly on the bends throughout.
POPNROCK - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
JUST CHARLIE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
MIKKO KOIVU - trotted roughly rounding the final bend before breaking and losing all chance.
PLAYOFFS - fractious prior to the start then broke shortly after the tapes were released losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 2   MARSHALL TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
CHAL VEE POWER - under pressure and weakened from the 600m. Driver S Ottley could offer no explanation for the performance. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
LOU WILL - weakened final bend. Hung outwards near the 300m placing THE NEXT BEST THING and MIKI COHEN in restricted room with MIKI COHEN contacting a sulky wheel and breaking as a consequence. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Stewards spoke with driver S Thornley (LOU WILL) who confirmed that his gelding had proved difficult to steer and had lay out on the final bend.
CARRERA BRAVO - raced greenly in the score up and at various stages throughout. Raced three wide without cover until reaching the lead passing the 1400m.
MIKI COHEN - broke briefly rounding the final bend when contacting the sulky wheel of THE NEXT BEST THING losing ground.
MIGHTY MIKI - when asked to comment on the performance trainer/driver M Williamson advised he was very disappointed and could offer no explanation. Mr Williamson reported he would have blood tests conducted on the gelding in the coming days and undertook to advise Stewards of the results.
Race 3   BLUFF PROTEINS PACE
SPEED WRITER - broke at the start losing considerable ground
SHARD DE ARCH - tangled away. Lay in early stages of the run home having to be straightened by driver S Ottley.
SPRED SHEET - slow to begin.
Race 4   SBT MARKETING (2009) LTD HANDICAP PACE
GLIDING HIGH - trainer D Gillespie was warned for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds. Weakened from the 600m hampering trailing runners.
BEAUDIENE QUICK STEP - tangled away. Held up leaving the final bend.
KELTIC TIGER - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
FRANCO MESSI - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
THREEBEERSDEEP - hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.

LOGAN ROCK - when questioned regarding the performance of favoured runner driver S Thornley advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation.
Race 7   JOHN MUDIE MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
FLO MOTION - raced greenly when attempting to gain the lead on several occasions through the middle stages.
BETTERTHANDIVA - raced three wide throughout despite several unsuccessful attempts to obtain a position in the running line through the middle stages.
WAVEWATCHER - raced wide early. Driver O Thornley advised she was unable to release the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
ZIA BROMAC - raced wide early. Briefly locked sulky wheels with ALMIGHTY CLEVER near the 100m.
LAMARLI - held up for clear racing room in the latter stages of the run home. Driver R May reported he did not release the removable deafeners in consequence.
PIONEER - held up for clear racing room in the latter stages of the run home.
ROSIE RICHTER - when asked to comment on the performance of favoured runner driver S Ottley could offer no explanation. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
ALMIGHTY CLEVER - briefly locked sulky wheels with ZIA BROMAC near the 100m.
Race 8   WAITAKI HOTEL KUROW CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
HERB - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Over-raced through the middle stages.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - tangled away.
KATHERINE - over-raced through the middle stages when in the parked position.
HELIUM - over-raced through the middle stages. Lay in on various occasions in the run home having to be straightened by driver S Thornley.
COMMANDER BEN - over-raced through the middle stages. Held up throughout the run home. Driver S Ottley reported she did not activate the sliding blinds or release the removable deafeners in consequence.
Race 9   MAKING IT HAPPEN: G K FYFE PAINTING HANDICAP TROT
CAPPAHA - trotted roughly through the early stages.
PETITE TRIXTON - trotted roughly in the middle stages. Broke rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MAKAKU - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer A Hoffman.
GALLEONS GRANDSON - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Trotted roughly again from the 800m before breaking passing the 500m losing all chance.
JASPRIT TROUBLE - broke after 100m losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
NUBLIAH CHAMAY - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
WHISPERING OVER - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
BURNING LOVE - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
Race 10   WAITAKI HOTEL SOCIAL CLUB MOBILE PACE
MIKI BENNETT - held up final bend and in the run home only obtaining clear racing room passing the100m.
EDDIE OSEI - raced wide early.
MAJOR HIPSTER - raced wide early. On return to the birdcage was observed to have blood present on its hind legs. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had chafed from the hopples on both hind legs.
SARGENT BEST - held up throughout the run home only obtaining clear racing room over the latter stages. Driver C Williamson reported she did not release the removable deafeners in consequence.
