Race 1   TRACK CHAT - SUPPORTING NZHAT HANDICAP TROT
GAZ MAN - over-raced middle stages. Placed in restricted room late in the run home.
ULTIMATE MOMENT - lay outwards late in the run home placing outside runners in restricted room.
LIAISON - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Placed in restricted room late in the run home. Connections reported the gelding lost the near fore shoe during the running.
SOUTHERN DIAMOND - slow early. Connections reported the gelding lost the near hind shoe during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 2   HOLLIS & ROBERTSON RACING - HERE FOR THE HORSE MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed several minutes due to HAROLD HANOVER requiring attention from the farrier.
CARBON - forced wider rounding the first turn then raced wide until crossing to the parked position near the 1500m.
LITTLE HOOFANANNY - Driver A Poutama admitted a charge under Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) in that he shifted his filly outwards rounding the first turn forcing CARBON to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee issued a fine of $200.
Race 3   BLANCHARD RACING STABLE NORTHERN METRO SERIES HT 1 MOB PACE
CRISTIANO BUCCINI - Caretaker Trainer D Butcher was warned for failing to have the correct colours. Broke early in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Weakened final turn hampering a trailing runner. Driver D Butcher reported that he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 450m.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - hampered by a weakening runner final turn. Junior Driver D Grundmann (assisted by J Abernethy) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when contacting and puncturing the sulky wheel of CRISTIANO BUCCINI near the 450m. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
ALWAYS B STUNNING - Driver P Ferguson reported the off side sulky tyre deflated near the 1200m.
Race 4   STONEWALL STUD & STABLES -SUPPORTING NZHAT 2YO MOB PACE
ALWAYS B MAGIC - lay inwards and raced over track markers entering the first turn.
TURN O THE TIDE - over-raced middle stages when outside the leader. Raced wide from the 750m then lay inwards in the run home
BEACHBREAK - lay inwards contacting a track marker near the 500m. Broke passing the 100m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
ALWAYS B MISTY - raced greenly in the score up before breaking losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners.
Race 5   BOB & MARLENE LYNCH -HERE FOR THE HORSE TROT
JASINOVA - shifted outwards near the 1200m when leading but was corrected by Driver L Chin. Shifted outwards again rounding the final turn. Dictated wider by a breaking runner late in the run home. Dr Chin was warned for the manner in which he drove when allowing his horse to shift outwards during the running.
BARSUKOV - begun awkwardly. Broke entering the first turn losing all chance.
EAGLE HANOVER - weakened from the 500m. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Abernethy stated that the mare had trotted roughly on the bends and that he was disappointed with the run. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
MISS BEBE - broke entering the first turn losing all chance.
BANGKOK BETTY - broke passing the 100m and then shifted outwards dictating outside runner wider losing all chance.
WISH FOR FISH - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened final turn.
ASTERIA LAVRA - lay inwards and raced over several track markers final turn. Authorisation of this runner's 2nd placing was briefly withheld until Stewards were satisfied that no advantage had been gained.
Race 6   PURDON & PHELAN RACING - NORTHERN METRO SERIES HT 2 MOB PACE
SEMBA - over-raced middle stages.
INVISIBLE - when questioned regarding the performance connections advised that they were disappointed with the gelding's run and will be having blood tests taken in the coming days. Stewards will follow up the results.
SECRETS ABOUND - over-raced middle stages.
HAWKEYE PIERCE - raced wide from the 600m.
SEACLUSION - held up rounding the final turn.
Race 7   NZTDA - NORTHERN BRANCH - HERE FOR THE HORSE TROT
PARADISE ALI - broke near the 250m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
EYE SEE YOU - lay inwards rounding the final turn.
HENRIK LUNDQVIST - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Over-raced middle stages proving difficult for Driver J Abernethy. Lay inwards and raced over track markers when weakening final turn.
DOLLY P - lay inwards contacting a track marker final turn.
BRASS RAZOO - raced wider briefly near the 1750m after BOSS JO shifted away from the marker line. It was established that Driver D Balle (BOSS JO) had commenced his outward movement prior to BRASS RAZOO reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary.
Race 8   DIAMOND RACING STABLES - SUPPORTING NZHAT MOBILE PACE
LOUEZYANA - raced wider briefly approaching the 1150m when KATIES PRINCESS shifted out from the marker line. It was established the Driver L Hibell (KATIES PRINCESS) had commenced her outward movement prior to LOUEZYANA reaching her sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary.
