Race 1   DRIVERS CANTEEN SUPPORTS NZHAT HANDICAP TROT
PRESIDENT FLYNNTIN - broke shortly after the start and galloped for a considerable distance losing ground. Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 4th placing under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 150m over the early stages. Connections did not contest the protest and PRESIDENT FLYNNTIN was disqualified by Stewards. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
TEQUILA SUNRISE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke near the 750m losing ground before settling. Broke again near the 400m losing all chance. Authorisation of this runner's promoted 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that it had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. A final warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
KISS MY PIXEL - momentarily hampered near the 200m.
SLAINTE - trotted roughly for several strides approaching the 200m momentarily hampering a trailing runner.
Race 2   DIAMOND RACING STABLES SUPPORTS NZHAT MOBILE PACE
MARY MAGDALENE - weakened final turn. When questioned regarding the performance Driver Z Butcher stated the filly had failed to fire after being left without cover outside the leader from the 1200m.
ANN FRANK - lost ground passing the 900m. Weakened final turn.
PASS CODE - weakened final turn.
IM NOT THE MAID - broke near the 1200m when leading when appearing to shy at a lighting generator positioned on the infield and lost ground before settling. When questioned Driver A Poutama confirmed that this had been the case.
COLLATERAL BEAUTY - late scratching at 8.31am on veterinary advice.
Race 3   SG STUD SUPPORTS NZHAT MOBILE PACE
PAPENHUYZEN - commenced to over-race middle stages before being taken out to lead up the running line near the 1100m. Continued to over-race when outside the leader. When questioned Co-trainer/Driver L Hollis stated that he was disappointed with the filly's performance even though she had pulled hard during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
RED RACKHAM - over-raced middle stages.
Race 4   HARCOURTS TE AWAMUTU SUPPORTS NZHAT MOBILE PACE
SHONNY LOU - Junior Driver E Johnson, assisted by G Martin, was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
RAY SAUCE - weakened final turn.
WALTZING WITH MIKI - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
CONRAD H - Trainer D Balle was warned for failing to have the correct colours available. Held up briefly final turn.
FIELD CADET - back from position at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver D Butcher. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.

BOSS KENNY - required assistance from an attendant when parading prior to the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Trotted roughly at various stages.
DEL SHANNON - pre-race warmed.

BROOKSIDE GIRL - the near side breast plate strap detached during the running.
CAULFIELD - the off side number worked loose early in the run home.
ALWAYS FLYIN - Driver J Stormont was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Race 7   CHRISTMAS AT THE RACEWAY TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW TROT
SO MYSTIFYING - required assistance from an attendant when parading prior to the start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Broke at the start losing considerable ground. Lay in rounding the final turn contacting several track markers.
CHEMICAL DREAMS - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
SKEE PRINCESS - back from position at dispatch.
WIND OF CHANGE - back from position at dispatch. Lay in near the 250m and received a punctured sulky tyre when contacted by SO MYSTIFYING. Stewards could not attribute blame solely to either driver and took the matter no further.
CHESINOV - slow early losing considerable ground.
