BENJAMIN BUTTON - paced roughly for a stride entering the first turn after contacting and puncturing the sulky tyre of MYDADTHETERROR. Driver S Abernethy admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300. Lay in near the 1300m dislodging a track marker. | |

When questioned regarding the performance Trainer R Green advised that the gelding may be feeling the effects of recent racing. | |
J T BOE - the start was briefly delayed after the gelding cast a shoe in the preliminary requiring attention from the farrier. | |
DELIGHTFUL CHIC - held up until late in the the run home. | |
TUGAWAR - slow to score up but was in position at the candy pole. Hampered when LINCOLN LA MOOSE paced roughly racing into the first turn. |
