Race 1   TARDINA STUD 'SOUTH OF THE BOMBAYS' MOB PACE
RIVERBOY BEN - lay in near the 1300m contacting track markers.
MIDFREW LUCRE - raced three wide without cover from the 1000m.
MYDADTHETERROR - received a punctured sulky tyre entering the first turn when contacted by a trailing runner. Held up early in the run home.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - paced roughly for a stride entering the first turn after contacting and puncturing the sulky tyre of MYDADTHETERROR. Driver S Abernethy admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300. Lay in near the 1300m dislodging a track marker.
LOUIE V TONNE - raced wide early stages.
PROVISEUR - over-raced early and middle stages.
MESSENGER BUOY- underwent a post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the trainer's request which revealed a small amount of blood in the trachea.
Race 2   TRACK CHAT SUPPORTING NZHAT MOBILE PACE
LINCOLN LA MOOSE - paced roughly for several strides approaching the first turn hampering a trailing runner. Shifted out rounding the final turn when Driver Z Butcher was encountering some difficulty activating the deafeners. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer R Green advised that the gelding may be feeling the effects of recent racing.
J T BOE - the start was briefly delayed after the gelding cast a shoe in the preliminary requiring attention from the farrier.
DELIGHTFUL CHIC - held up until late in the the run home.
TUGAWAR - slow to score up but was in position at the candy pole. Hampered when LINCOLN LA MOOSE paced roughly racing into the first turn.
Race 3   EQUINE SPECIALISTS IMPORTER OF FARRIER SUPPLIES HCP TROT
BARSUKOV - slow to begin. Lay in and contacted a track marker near the 900m.
JASINOVA - raced clear in the lead over the early and middle stages.
TAYLAD TO USE - broke rounding the first turn but soon settled. Lay in rounding the turns. Weakened final turn hampering trailing runners.
LOVE ON LINE - tangled away at the start.
VORONOV - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final turn.
Race 4   HUGHES HARNESS RACING STABLES SUPPORTING NZHAT MOBILE PACE
RUNKLE CRUNCH - lay out over the early stages and briefly raced in restricted room entering the first turn.
HEARTS N ACES - lay in and paced roughly entering the first turn.
TURN O THE TIDE - over-raced middle stages.
BAR LOUIE - paced roughly then broke near the 200m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
Race 5   DIAMOND RACING STABLES SUPPORTING NZHAT MOBILE PACE
NELSON'S BOY - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobiles. Gave ground from the 700m.
MANTRA BLUE - lay in final turn.
Race 6   "blueprints RENEWED CONSULTANTS SUPPORTING NZHAT MOB PACE
DESISTELLA - raced keenly when being restrained to take a trail entering the first turn.
I CAN TOO - Driver B Butcher and Starter F Phelan were questioned in relation to the early stages of the score up and were reminded of their respective obligations.
KEVIN KLINE - over-raced early and middle stages. Weakened in the run home. Trainer R Green advised that the gelding would be turned out for a spell.
MACK PACK - held up for clear running until late in the run home.
ALWAYSBESECRET - Trainer N Chilcott was warned for presenting the filly to race with an anti-choke device which was not notified.
Race 7   S G STUD SUPPORTING NZ HORSE AMBULANCE TRUST TROT
ARADNE - pre-race warmed.
BOLT FOR THE HILL - pre-race warmed. Fractious prior to the start causing a delay and then required the assistance of a starting attendant with the field being turned away to reassemble. Broke briefly at the start but soon settled. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
BERTHA'S PRIDE - broke briefly shortly after the start. Trotted roughly at various stages and trailed the field throughout. A final warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
LIL WHIP - pre-race warmed. Slow early stages losing ground.
