Driver B Orange (CLOVELLY HILL) defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly when shifting inwards near the 900m checking SCHOEMAKER (J Smith) which broke and lost ground. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge. |

Continued to pace roughly at various stages losing all chance. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the filly had been striking a knee. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the horse. |

When questioned regarding the performance the connections advised they were disappointed and will have blood tests taken from the mare in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results. | |
TEN DA TOUCH - paced roughly rounding the final bend. Junior driver H Orange was spoken to advisedly for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home. In taking this course of action Stewards were mindful of Mr Orange's lack of race day experience. | |

PLAYING WITH STARS - junior driver S Hill (assisted by J Dunn) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hill's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 16 August 2024 (3 days). |
