After questioning drivers J Smith (SCHOEMAKER) and B Orange (CLOVELLY HILL) and hearing their explanations, Stewards issued a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging Mr Orange had driven carelessly in this incident. Mr Orange advised he would be defending the charge with the hearing being opened and adjourned until the NZ Metropolitan TC meeting on 4 August 2024. |

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU - co-trainers C & C Dalgety were issued a warning for being late to notify the gelding would be racing without the notified blinds. When questioned regarding the performance co-trainer C Dalgety advised the gelding was racing up in grade in its first start back after a spell and had peaked on its run. Mr Dalgety added he expected the horse would derive considerable benefit from tonight's race. |
