Race 1   HAPPY 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY STEVE & DI LITTLE HCP TROT
ELLAMON - hung inwards final bend when weakening.
FIVE MONKEYS - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the mare had raced lethargically throughout and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a high heart rate.
ORIGIN - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
MIDNIGHT DIAMOND - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
NATIVES BLAZIN SON - broke passing the 100m losing its chance.
MODE - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered and broke passing the 1550m losing all chance.
PENELOPE HALL - driver J Versteeg was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home.
ROCKY IN PARADISE - broke passing the 1550m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

DARBY - broke after 150m hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Held up until late in the run home. Driver R May was issued a warning to exercise greater care when shifting ground near the 50m which hampered an outside runner.
OKIWI BAY - hampered by a breaking runner approaching the first bend. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
MY TEN GUITARS - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner approaching the first bend.
THE MANDALORIAN - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
DREAM BOYZ - hampered by a breaking runner approaching the first bend and struck several track markers. Weakened final bend.
MAJOR CHEDDAR - hampered by a breaking runner approaching the first bend. Held up in the run home.
HOO HAA - hampered by a breaking runner approaching the first bend. Raced wide with cover from the 1200m. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer J Harrington advised the filly had been racing well without luck and had appreciated a return to mobile racing, adding the filly had also been able to improve forward with cover through the middle stages to race in a handy position on the final bend.
MOENUI MISS - hampered by a breaking runner approaching the first bend. Raced wide with cover from the 1200m. Hampered near the 50m by an inside runner which shifted ground outwards.
RUSHKINOFF - hampered by a breaking runner approaching the first bend. Raced three wide in the early and middle stages before being forced to race four wide from the 800m.
Race 3   CONGRATS HORNBY UNDER 18S 'GRAND FINAL WINNERS' PACE
HEAVEN - hung inwards final bend losing ground.
TROUBLESHOOTER - held up final bend and throughout the run home.
ROCKIN ROMAN - held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
FRANCO ELVIS - lay inwards near the 1450m striking a track marker.
SHARD DE ARCH - crowded by an inside runner near the 175m.
HOWIE ROBYN - held up early in the run home. Driver S McNally was issued a warning for the manner he drove passing the 175m when crowding an outside runner.
BALLYSPELLANE - co-trainers C & J DeFilippi were issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with fixed deafeners which had not been notified. Broke passing the 1300m losing ground. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver C DeFilippi advised the gelding had over-raced on occasions during the running.
THE NIGHT FOX - lay inwards in the run home and had to be shifted wider near the 175m when an inside runner was crowded for racing room. Stewards questioned driver C Dalgety regarding the tactics he adopted during the running. Mr Dalgety advised the gelding has raced best previously with cover however as the three wide line never became established in the back straight on the final occasion he was forced to improve wide without cover on the final bend. Mr Dalgety added that considering it was the horse's first start back from a spell he was pleased with the effort.
Race 4   ASPHALT CONTRACTORS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE TROT
DIDJABRINGTHEBUBBLES - weakened final bend.
LAVRA SEGIL - trainer P Shennan was issued a warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified blinds. Broke passing the 550m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - hung outwards throughout the run home.
Race 5   TENNANT ENGINEERING HANDICAP PACE
FITZTHEBILL - broke briefly at the start.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - driver S Tomlinson advised she was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
THE REAL MCCOY - re-handicapped to 10 metres after winning at the NZ Metropolitan TC meeting on 28 June. Hung outwards final bend and early in the run home with the horse shifting up the track despite the efforts of driver C Dalgety.
HE'S A BAY - weakened in the run home.

SALVO - trainer J Harrington advised the mare would be racing in season.

RACEY KRUSA - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
A HILL TWO MENNY - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend.
HIGH NOON - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
DD'S SUPER STUART - over-raced middle stages.
MOONDANCE - broke after 100m losing all chance.
FIGHT FOR FREEDOM - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 7   FEARLESS & CHRISTINE SMITH LOVE THEIR RACING MOBILE PACE
WRIGGLES RUFUS - hampered by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 700m.
SIR MONTY - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer G Turner advised the gelding had raced without luck at its last start and had benefited from an improved barrier draw. Mr Turner added that the gelding had been working well in preparation for today's race and he had been confident of a forward showing.
KING ARTHUR - hampered by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 700m.
TOUCH N GO - raced wide early. Over-raced early and middle stages.
WESTAR MOLLY - connections advised Stewards the mare has had a hock treated since last racing.
HIT THE BEACH - held up final bend. Driver C DeFilippi defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr DeFilippi the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr DeFilippi's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 5 July up to and including 12 July 2024 (2 days).
ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - raced wide early. Paced roughly on occasions in the run home.
KENNEDY - raced wide early and over-raced when being restrained to the rear.
ARCHIE - raced wide early. Weakened passing the 700m hampering trailing runners. Struck track markers rounding the final bend. Driver C Dalgety was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Dalgety advised that after working hard early to obtain the lead and being unable to gain respite in the middle stages due to TOUCH N GO over-racing in the parked position the effort had taken its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SPORTS BABE - held up final bend.
Race 8   CHEERS TO ALL THE GREAT HELPERS MOBILE PACE
PATIRO - weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TREACHEROUS MISS - held up final bend.
DON JUAN - over-raced early. Junior driver M Holbrough (assisted by M Purvis) defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Miss Holbrough's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 12 July 2024 (3 days).
FRANCO HOFFMAN - raced wide early.
EMMA SWAN - broke in the score up however was in position at the start. Raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the mare had worked hard in the early stages to obtain the lead from DON JUAN which was over-racing with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
CHICAGO BEAR - raced wide early. Again raced wide from the 1100m and hung inwards on various occasions.
ACENTO - over-raced middle stages. Raced wide from the 1000m.
