Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION (NZ AM DRIVERS CHAMPS) MOB PACE
INTERPOL - over-raced in the score up and momentarily got its head in front of the mobile arm prior to the start. Weakened final bend hampering trailing runners and struck several track markers. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Trainer J McDermott advised he would be adding an anti choke device to the gelding's gear for its engagement on Sunday.
ARCHIE - hampered near the 1200m. Driver W Frost admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Frost's Amateur driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 23 June up to and including 23 July 2024 (1 month).
LORD MUDRICK - hampered near the 1200m. Driver M House will be spoken to in the coming days regarding the manner in which he used his whip in the run home.
VRILO - raced wide early.
BEAUDIENE QUICK STEP - raced wide early. Driver W Rich defended a breach of Rule 869(5) in that he half carted for a distance passing the 1400m resulting in trailing runners being hampered near the 1200m. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Rich the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Rich's Amateur driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 23 June up to and including 23 July 2024 (1 month). Stewards also issued a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations alleging that Mr Rich used his whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing from Stewards and Mr Rich, the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and Mr Rich's Amateur driver's licence was suspended from 24 July up to and including 23 August 2024 (1 month).
BETS ON - lay inwards near the 1500m striking a track marker. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
SARGENT BEST - out of position at the start. Driver C Wigg was issued a warning. Ms Wigg will be spoken to in the coming days regarding the manner in which she used her whip in the run home.
TOPAZ - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Kriechbaumer. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Lay inwards leaving the final bend and early in the run home. Mr Kriechbaumer was warned for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.
Race 2   CONTINENTAL EVENT HIRE TROT
FEARLESS - trotted roughly in the early stages.
FORGIVENESS - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Hampered by a weakening runner leaving the final bend. Held up until late in the run home.
MM SUNSHINE - hampered by a weakening runner leaving the final bend. Driver R Holmes was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
THE BLOSS - weakened leaving the final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance both driver S O'Reilly and trainer B Borcoskie advised they were very disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. Mr Borcoskie added he would have blood tests taken from the mare in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
EMILY - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Briefly crowded passing the 150m by an inside runner which shifted ground outwards.
DARK GHANA - hampered by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
A HILL TWO MENNY - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
SPECIAL EFFECTS - broke near the 2100m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - held up early in the run home. Driver M Williamson was warned for the manner he shifted ground near the 150m which crowded an outside runner.
VERY MAJESTIC - broke after 100m losing ground. Broke again near the 50m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
Race 3   WOODLANDS STUD - SUPPORTING OUR FUTURE MOBILE PACE
HAPPY HARPER - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
NO PERFECT PRINCESS - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
SHE'S A MAJOR ACT - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts at the request of trainer T Bagrie.
EYELINER - over-raced early when wide on the track.
WOODLEA DIAMOND - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages.
SHOWTYM GIRL - broke after 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
THAT IS LOVE - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
MILLIE LOU - driver J Dunn reported the removable deafeners failed to activate due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 4   THE MACARON COMPANY MOBILE PACE
WHOSDREAMINGNOW - weakened passing the 400m hampering trailing runners. Paced roughly rounding the final bend losing ground and struck track markers. Driver J Dunn was issued a warning.
SCOTLYNN TREASURE - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
REKLAWS DREAM - lay outwards in the run home.
BRONSKI - hampered by a weakening runner near the 400m.
HEAVEN'S MARK - hung inwards on several occasions throughout the running.
MAJOR HENRY - over-raced middle stages. Held up for a distance rounding the final bend.
Race 5   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
BITTER SWEET - broke in the score up hampering an outside runner however was in position at the start. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration on the right hind pastern which was treated.
TROJAN PRINCESS - hampered in the score up by a breaking runner however was in position at the start. Stewards questioned drivers D Dolan (TROJAN PRINCESS) and G O'Reilly (BITTER SWEET) regarding an incident near the 1600m when BITTER SWEET had to be restrained resulting in an easing of the pace with trailing runners being hampered to varying degrees. After viewing the replays and hearing from both drivers it was established that Mr O'Reilly had attempted to shift his runner inwards to obtain the trail however as PURE COURAGE had improved to his inside he was obliged to remain in the one out line with his horse then commencing to over-race and becoming awkwardly placed close to the wheel of TROJAN PRINCESS which had raced greenly when improving ahead of his runner. After considering the matter Stewards were unable to apportion blame to any one horse or driver and accordingly no further action was deemed necessary.
FLYING BIRD - raced wide early.
IDEAL DELIGHT - raced wide early. Paced roughly passing the 1300m. Driver K Newman will be spoken to in the coming days regarding the manner he drove passing the 1400m when jostling for a position.
EDDIE OSEI - raced wide early.
MOLLY BELWIN - held up final bend and until late in the run home.
WARLOCH - raced wide early.
GLENGARRY MOONLIGHT - hampered rounding the first bend. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.
JUSTCALLMEMIKI - hampered rounding the first bend. Held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
MAREN FRANCO - driver L O'Reilly will be spoken to in the coming days regarding the manner he drove passing the 1400m when jostling for a position.
Race 6   'THE CROSSING' LINE HANDICAP TROT
MASTER CLASS - driver K Butt defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Ms Butt the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and imposed a fine of $500.
GALLEONS AMBASSADOR - broke at the start losing ground.
TECTONIC - broke passing the 400m when being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner losing all chance.
Race 7   GET THE CACI GLOW HANDICAP PACE
ITSAMONEYMAKER - driver R Harrison reported the removable deafeners failed to activate due to the cord becoming entangled.
SPIRIT OF ANARCHY - fractious prior to the start and swung outwards checking a trailing runner losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
RAGING WHITEBAIT - checked by SPIRIT OF ANARCHY which had shifted outwards just prior to the start and broke losing considerable ground. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) after being denied a fair start.
BRYCE'S MEDDLE - paced roughly passing the 150m having to be steadied by driver J Dunn.
Race 8   THE CHRISTCHURCH CASINO MOBILE PACE
TIPSTAR - weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver B Butt advised the removable deafeners failed to activate due to the cord breaking.
FEAR THE DIVA - hung outwards and paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
REAL VELOCITY - hung inwards in the run home and struck a track marker at the finish line.
BLAZING KNUCKLES - over-raced early.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
COMMANDER JOE - raced wide early.
LE TWIST - raced wide throughout despite the efforts of driver S Ottley.
OH MICKY - raced wide early. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver J Cox advised the mare had over-raced during the running with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
FUSION REACTOR - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ACENTO - over-raced middle stages.
