BETTERTHANDIVA - driver L Dobbs was warned to show better judgement in future when failing to offer his horse some respite in the middle stages by easing to take cover when an opportunity existed. Mr Dobbs admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion passing the 1400m and again in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Dobbs' driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 23 June up to and including 14 July 2024 (6 days). | |
