Race 1   PROVIDENT INSURANCE TROT
SONNY JIM - trotted roughly over the early stages.
SPIRITINTHESKY - placed in restricted room for a short distance and raced over track markers near the 1900m.
LIME IN A BOTTLE - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer M Williamson.
BROWN EYED GIRL - lay inwards near the 1900m resulting in an inside runner striking track markers. Over-raced for a period from the 1600m to the 1100m when attempting to restrain to take a trail. Weakened final bend.
DANCING GLENIS - trotted roughly throughout. When asked to comment on the performance driver J Cox could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have no abnormality other than a slow recovery.
Race 2   AUTO SUPER SHOPPE WANAKA MOBILE PACE
SALLY'S PEARL - driver M Williamson reported he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
KARDASHIAN - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages.
ENYA FRANCO - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
Race 3   CREATION SIGNS MOBILE PACE
ARLO MAGUIRE - pre-race warmed.
MONTAGE - raced wide early.
LIVY DESMA - lay inwards on the bends placing driver B Orange in some difficulty.
ASK ME LOU - held up leaving the final bend.
TASHS BAD GIRL - over-raced middle stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the run home. Driver A Kyle reported he did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
SHEZZA VINNY - held up early stages of the run home.
Race 4   REGENT CAR COURT MOBILE PACE
RACIE DALE - raced greenly and then paced roughly losing ground, when initially trying to shift the rapidly improving PACIFIC ARC which lay inwards, wider on the track near the 450m. Stewards spoke with drivers S Walkinshaw (RACIE DALE) and N Williamson (PACIFIC ARC) regarding this incident. After hearing from both drivers and viewing the films Stewards could not apportion blame to any one horse or driver and accordingly took the matter no further. Lay outwards and raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - trainer C Buchan was warned after presenting the gelding with sliding blinds and not the notified blinds.
HOGIE - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MIKI COHEN - out of position at the start. Driver K Green was warned for failing to maintain her barrier position. Hampered final bend.
PACIFIC ARC - lay inwards near the 450m.
Race 5   AUTOSURE HANDICAP PACE
SPORTY CHARLIE - began awkwardly hampering a trailing runner.
SARGENT BEST - tangled away.
MAGIC SIGN - broke briefly after 140m. Held up final bend. Lost the near front plate during the running.
CUTIE - broke at the start and was then hampered.
SAGWITCH - when asked to comment on the seemingly improved performance trainer S Breen advised he was not surprised as the gelding is suited to standing starts and had received a run to suit today.
DANGEROUS - lay inwards and paced roughly first bend.
Race 6   STIRLING AUTO REPAIRS / REGENT CAR COURT HANDICAP TROT
QUERCUS RUBRA - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground.
JORDAN ANNE - junior driver B Fodie was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
JANAKA'S DELIGHT - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
Race 7   FINAL TOUCH / REGENT CAR COURT MOBILE PACE
MAJOR SWEETART - driver M Hurrell reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BETTER BE WATCHING - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
SUPERFAST - held up early in the run home.
BONNIE'S GIRL - broke in the initial stages of the score up however was in position at the start. Raced wide early.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - lay inwards and had to be straightened when improving wide approaching the 800m.
CONNIE JACCKA - raced wide early.
CEE WHO'S BETTOR - raced wide early.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - held up final bend and early in the run home.
Race 8   XTRA MILE TYRES / CLEAN-BIZ HANDICAP TROT
MILES AWAY - trotted roughly at various stages throughout and was unable to be fully driven out over the concluding stages by driver M Williamson.
BILL BOOTIT - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Driver O Kite reported that only one removable deafener had released.
HUCKLEBERRY - began awkwardly. Broke near the 300m losing all chance. Driver D Anderson reported a sulky tyre had deflated during the running.
GIFT CARD - raced wide early.
Race 9   ALL PURPOSE ENGINEERING / REGENT CAR COURT MOBILE PACE
BOBBIES ROCK - over-raced in the score up.
BROOKIES PLAYER - over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards entering the bend near the 600m.
MR CASH MAN - raced wide early.
SOUTHSIDE OF HEAVEN - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1200m. Hung outwards rounding the final bend and throughout the run home having to be straightened by driver K Tomlinson.
