SPIRITINTHESKY - placed in restricted room for a short distance and raced over track markers near the 1900m. | |
LIME IN A BOTTLE - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer M Williamson. | |
BROWN EYED GIRL - lay inwards near the 1900m resulting in an inside runner striking track markers. Over-raced for a period from the 1600m to the 1100m when attempting to restrain to take a trail. Weakened final bend. | |
DANCING GLENIS - trotted roughly throughout. When asked to comment on the performance driver J Cox could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have no abnormality other than a slow recovery. |

RACIE DALE - raced greenly and then paced roughly losing ground, when initially trying to shift the rapidly improving PACIFIC ARC which lay inwards, wider on the track near the 450m. Stewards spoke with drivers S Walkinshaw (RACIE DALE) and N Williamson (PACIFIC ARC) regarding this incident. After hearing from both drivers and viewing the films Stewards could not apportion blame to any one horse or driver and accordingly took the matter no further. Lay outwards and raced in restricted room over the concluding stages. | |
TOP POCKET CHANCE - trainer C Buchan was warned after presenting the gelding with sliding blinds and not the notified blinds. | |
HOGIE - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. | |

SAGWITCH - when asked to comment on the seemingly improved performance trainer S Breen advised he was not surprised as the gelding is suited to standing starts and had received a run to suit today. | |
