DEMON HILL - broke at the start losing all chance.
PEAKS MOMENT - weakened rounding the final bend.
FIVE MONKEYS - broke rounding the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
PANDEMIC - broke at the start losing ground. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
HOOFN IT - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
LOVEYOU TO DA SKYE - hampered and broke rounding the first bend with the near side number coming detached while in a break losing ground. Weakened final bend.
ROCKY IN PARADISE - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.

STARLIGHT GAZER - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
LAVRA SEGIL - broke at the start losing ground. The sulky seat became detached shortly after the start and was thrown to the infield by driver C Thornley rounding the first bend for safety reasons. Lay inwards passing the 1000m and broke passing the 900m losing its chance. Trainer P Shennan was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix the sulky seat so as not to come adrift.
MOA MOJITO - weakened passing the 400m.
COSMIC ANGEL - connections advised the mare has been treated for a virus since last racing.
Race 4   TURF SERVICES READYLAWN TIMARU PACE
BETTING GIFT - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Sent to the unruly by starter R Donnelly where it will remain for future standing starts. Slow in the early stages losing ground. Weakened from the 600m.
SPIRIT OF GOD - fractious prior to the start and reared on several occasions. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver T Williams advised he would be recommending gear changes. Weakened from the 600m. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare.
MY TEN GUITARS - weakened in the run home.
MAJOR HENRY - weakened in the run home.
WATERHOLES ROAD - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Tomlinson advised she was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
MAJOR LINC - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened from the 600m.
IVONA DADIC - connections advised the mare has been treated for a virus since last racing. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and and was cleared to start.
TAUMUTU LAD - broke at the start losing ground. Lay inwards late in the run home.
Race 5   GILLIAN INKERSELL MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
SPIRITED LOU - connections advised the horse has been treated for a virus since last racing.
FOLLOW ME FANTASY - driver S Tomlinson advised that one hopple shortener had failed to activate after becoming entangled.
GET IT ON - raced wide early. Weakened leaving the final bend.
TANE J J - connections advised the gelding had been treated for a virus since last racing. Over-raced early stages when being restrained to the rear of the field.
Race 6   THE TWO NOELS HANDICAP PACE
The start was delayed due to RESILIENT becoming fractious prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
JUSTIN FUN - held up final bend.
HI HOPES - broke at the start losing ground. Held up middle and late stages of the run home. Junior driver S Hill advised he did not activate the removable deafeners as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of slight muscle tie up. Stewards questioned Mr Hill (assisted by M Williamson) regarding his decision to shift inwards near the 300m which resulted in his runner being held up over the concluding stages. After hearing his explanation Stewards issued a charge under Rule 868(2) alleging he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to win or obtain the best possible placing with Mr Hill defending the breach. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from both drivers and Stewards, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.
BEAUDIENE QUICK STEP - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
DREAMALITTLEDREAM - raced wide early.
Race 7   NIGHT 'N DAY PARK TIMARU MOBILE PACE
SOCIAL DISTANCING - hung inwards in the run home when leading and shifted into the passing lane. Driver R Close was warned to make a greater effort to leave full access to the passing lane for trailing runners in future.
ZAMPERINI - paced roughly at various stages throughout. Broke near the 900m hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SARGENT BEST - out of position at the start. Junior driver C Williamson was issued a warning. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m.
DOCTOR TIM - held up early in the run home.
Race 8   PASCOES THE JEWELLERS TIMARU WINTER CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
LESTER - connections advised the gelding has been treated for a virus since last racing. Broke briefly at the start losing ground.
HE'S A BAY - broke briefly at the start losing ground. Shifted outwards abruptly leaving the final bend despite the efforts of driver S Thornley losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
COMMANDER BEN - held up until late in the run home.
TANZANIA - tangled away.
Race 9   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES MOBILE TROT
SPEEDING SPIRIT - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver M Williamson advised that the gelding was suited by the return to mobile racing.
A HILL TWO MENNY - raced wide from the 1100m.
Race 10   CATERING SOUTH CANTERBURY MOBILE PACE
JAZZYS UPSTART - held up early stages of the run home. Driver K Butt admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly by shifting ground inwards approaching the first bend when not sufficiently clear of NO PERFECT PRINCESS which was checked and lost its rightful racing position. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $500.
EYELINER - lay outwards racing into the first bend checking an outside runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Raced wide early and middle stages.
THAT IS LOVE - checked racing into the first bend by an inside runner losing ground. Stewards questioned drivers B Orange (EYELINER), S Ottley (FEAR GOGH) and C Dalgety (THAT IS LOVE) regarding this incident where it was established that EYELINER had lay outwards approaching the first bend resulting in THAT IS LOVE contacting this runner's sulky wheel and pacing roughly in consequence. Raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 850m.
WOODLEA DIAMOND - over-raced middle stages.
SALLY'S PEARL - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
FEAR GOGH - raced wide early and was awkwardly placed to the outside of THAT IS LOVE racing into the first bend. Over-raced middle stages.
TACKER - held up final bend.
MEGYN KELLY - raced wide early.
NO PERFECT PRINCESS - checked racing into the first bend and lost its rightful racing position.
SHANNON B - raced wide from the 1000m.
