THE WULVER - driver B Orange reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MISTER BLUE SKY - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
ARLO MAGUIRE - over-raced through the middle stages.
CONNIE JACCKA - lay in rounding the final bend.
MONTAGE - raced three wide without cover from the 1400m.
Race 2   THE SOUTHLAND SPORTS BAR MOBILE PACE
TASHS BAD GIRL - over-raced through the middle stages.
EMERALD ABBEY - driver P Hunter was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
RAKE - weakened from the 650m hampering a trailing runner.
FIREFOREFIDDLE - hampered by a weakening runner passing the 650m.
JENNY GUMP - driver S Walkinshaw was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.

Race 3   NEWFIELD SPORTS BAR TROT
TIMMY TURTLE - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 1st placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
ACTION PACKED - broke passing the 500m hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
PHISHING - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 500m. Lay in final bend striking track markers.
REWIRI HILL - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Trainer T Stratford was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after presenting the gelding with removable deafeners and not the notified fixed deafeners.
STELLA BAY - connections advised the mare has had a knee treated since last racing. Broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.
BROWN EYED GIRL - broke near the 1700m before switching to a pace having to be broken up by driver K Green to return to its correct gait, losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
SONNY JIM - briefly hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
COURTNEY MAY - connections advised the mare has been treated for stomach ulcers since last racing. Broke entering the first bend briefly hampering a trailing runner and losing ground.
FRIENDLY EYRE - paced away having to be broken up by driver B Williamson losing all chance and being retired from the race.
KISS ME KATE - broke at the start losing all chance.
Race 4   ASHFORD MOTOR LODGE MOBILE TROT
A false start was declared when the mobile inadvertently decelerated in the score-up causing an inconvenience to runners.
ANOTHER DEMON - lay inwards first bend contacting track markers. Over-raced through the middle stages. Driver K Tomlinson reported the mare had trotted roughly throughout causing her some difficulty and that despite her efforts only one sliding blind had activated.
RATA - broke leaving the final bend.
WITHOUT COMPARISON - raced wide early.
MC SQUARED - raced wide early.
Race 5   EDITORS CUT MOBILE PACE
LOTTIE'S LUCK - held up rounding the final bend and through the early to middle stages of the run home. Driver B Orange reported he did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
FABRICATE - driver R McIlwrick reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
NORTHVIEW SWEET - raced wide early.
GEMS DELIGHT - raced wide early. Driver N Williamson reported the mare to have hung inwards throughout.
STILTON LORD - lay in final bend when weakening contacting track markers.
GLENKENICK - paced roughly for a stride rounding the final bend. Raced greenly in the run home hampering an outside runner.
COSMIC AURUM - over-raced through the early and middle stages. Hampered by an inside runner in the run home.
Race 6   NORTHERN TAVERN MOBILE PACE
DELIGHTNJOY - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
AMAZON ANNIE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Hurrell. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Lay in at various stages. Weakened from the 500m. Driver M Hurrell reported the mare had been striking its knees causing him difficulty throughout. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
AVA DALE - raced greenly in the run home.
Race 7   ASCOT PARK HOTEL MOBILE PACE
ASTA - weakened from the 500m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. Stewards will follow up with trainer T Stratford in the coming days.
BIG BOYZ TOY - over-raced when being restrained to take cover near the 1000m.
Race 8   CENTREPOINT & SOUTH CITY LIQUORLAND MOBILE PACE
SAGWITCH - connections advised the gelding has had its fetlocks treated since last racing.
JORDY - raced three wide from the 700m.
Race 9   WAIKIWI TAVERN MOBILE PACE
SPORTY CHARLIE - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 9.40am.
DURRANT - connections advised the gelding has had its joints treated since last racing.
MAGIC SIGN - broke rounding the first bend hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
AMERICAN MAC - the required Veterinary clearance was received. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
THE OTHER BROTHER - broke as the start was effected losing considerable ground. Stewards spoke with driver J Douglas regarding the gelding breaking who explained he had misjudged the start point when anticipating the start resulting in THE OTHER BROTHER making minimal contact with the barrier arm and breaking in consequence. Mr Douglas was issued with a warning for the manner he drove at this stage of the race. Notwithstanding Mr Douglas's explanation a final warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SUPERFAST - lay in over the concluding stages having to be straightened by driver B Orange.
