Race 1   OFF THE TRACK FOOD AND BEV HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed due to the 30m barrier having to be replaced.
BOSS JO - broke approaching the 1800m hampering trailing runners and lost considerable ground.
ALDEBARAN CRYSTAL - raced wide early. Hampered and broke near the 1800m losing ground.
ARADNE - hampered and broke near the 1800m losing ground.
BARSUKOV - slow early losing considerable ground. Broke near the 400m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT - contacted a track marker near the 1900m when improving to the inside of BOSS JO which was shifting inwards and raced in restricted room briefly.
MAJESTIC BUNDY - hampered by breaking runners passing the 1800m. Lay in briefly entering the home straight. Driver P Ferguson encountered difficulty in activating the removable deafeners near the 100m.
CASHEM - raced wide early. Weakened in the run home.
Race 2   MID WINTER XMAS TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed after a replacement whip was required for LUKAKU after Driver L Darby lost his whip during the preliminary and it could not be located without undue delay.
LOUIE V TONNE - Driver W Rich was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
BORIS YELTSIN - broke in the early stages of the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Weakened final turn.
RIVERBOY BEN - Driver J Brownlee was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home.
MIDFREW LUCRE - over-raced when caught three wide early stages and was then taken forward to race outside the leader near the 1300m.
JACCKA COOPER - held up throughout the home straight when unable to obtain clear running. Stewards questioned Driver M Northcott regarding her failure to shift out from the one-one position near the 300m prior to being covered by COMMANDER LINCOLN. After taking initial evidence from Miss Northcott, Stewards issued a charge under 868(2) on the grounds that she failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures at this stage of the event to ensure her runner was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible position and/or finishing place. Miss Northcott, assisted by P Ferguson, advised she would be defending the charge and the hearing was opened and adjourned by the Adjudicative Committee until 31 May 2024. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
CRISTIANO BUCCINI - held up early stages of the run home. Driver S Dickson was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion on the final turn and middle stages of the run home.
NEYMAR - held up throughout the home straight when unable to obtain clear running.
Race 3   WOODLANDS WEANLINGS ARE GROUP 1 WINNERS MOBILE PACE
PENNYS FIRST FLIGHT - held up final turn but then failed to run on.
TRUCKING ON - weakened in the run home.
Race 4   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
PROVISEUR - weakened in the run home.
IRISH WHISPERS - tended to lay in rounding the turns.
Race 5   NZB AIRFREIGHT MOBILE PACE
BAILEYS PITCH - locked wheels briefly with an outside runner near the 350m.
CAROLINA MOON - lay in and paced roughly near the 350m locking wheels briefly with an inside runner. Weakened in the run home.
Race 6   WATCHU SECURITY MOBILE TROT
PRESIDENT FLYNNTIN - lay in rounding the first turn. Lay in and contacted track markers when weakening rounding the final turn.
MAJESTIC BUNDY - late scratching at 5.50pm after having competed in Race 1.
ALDEBARAN ALLBLACK - broke near the 200m when leading losing its chance.
COOL PHELAN - raced wide early.
SONSOFTHEMERCH - trotted roughly and broke near the 400m losing its chance.
Race 7   HIRE A VENUE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE PACE.
PRINCE MIKI - lay out and shifted up the track despite the efforts of Driver J Dickie throughout the run home.
RAKERO SCOTTY - paced roughly then broke briefly passing the winning post the first time. Weakened in the run home.
WATCH YOUR BACK - Driver Z Butcher admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
FIFTH AND FINAL - Driver M Ranger reported that she had been unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
