After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Morrison's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 May up to and including 23 May 2024 (2 days). | |

DEM BONES DEM BONES - trainer B Hope advised the mare has had its joints treated since last racing. | |
GINAS MAJESTY - raced wide from the 1300m. Lay inwards and crowded an inside runner near the 1100m. Again lay inwards final bend crowding an inside runner. Notwithstanding this, driver I Cameron was issued a warning to make a greater effort to prevent his runner from shifting inwards. | |
LA DAMA - crowded near the 1100m by an outside runner. Again crowded by an outside runner rounding the final bend when weakening. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the mare had raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. | |
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - raced wide early. Trotted roughly in the run home before breaking shortly after the finish line. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding was in the correct gait when its nose reached the finish line. | |
CRUISE LINER - weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance both trainer B Mowbray and driver S Tomlinson were disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Mr Mowbray advised he will have the gelding examined by his stable veterinarian in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results. | |
SHANDON BELLS - struck a track marker rounding the final bend when driver C Williamson was activating gear. Junior driver C Williamson was issued a warning. Mrs Williamson (assisted by M Williamson) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mrs Williamson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 18 May 2024 (2 days). | |
