Co-trainer J Dunn advised Stewards on 3 May that blood tests taken from MILLIE LOU showed the filly to be showing signs of muscle tie-up which is being treated.

YA RITE DARL - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
MASSIVE MERC - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke shortly after the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
MAJOR DOOSIE - trotted roughly at various stages throughout.
MISS MELANIE - driver A Faulks was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
CARLA PIXIE - hampered by QUEEN KIZEN over the concluding stages and came together with that runner just prior to the finish line.
NOBILO - broke passing the 200m losing all chance.
QUEEN KIZEN - shifted outwards marginally in the run home hampering CARLA PIXIE and came together with that runner just prior to the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 869A(2) against 1st placing being awarded to QUEEN KIZEN (J Morrison) alleging interference in the run home to CARLA PIXIE (B Orange) placed 2nd. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from both drivers and Stewards, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest. Driver J Morrison was reminded of his obligations to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
Race 2   BUY A WOODLANDS WEANLING MAY 23 MOBILE PACE
WAIKARI BARB - trainer K James was issued a warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified blinds. Hung outwards and paced roughly late in the score up hampering a trailing runner. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hung outwards final bend and in the run home when weakening.
AQUILA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.
SALLY'S PEARL - driver S Tomlinson advised the sliding blinds had not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
SOFIA ROSE - hampered late in the score up losing ground. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) after being denied a fair start.

MARKTHEWARRIOR - broke at the start losing all chance.
MOSES - driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
LIVING THE MOMENT - broke after 100m losing ground. Raced wide early. Trotted roughly final bend before breaking early in the run home losing all chance.
NOAH MAGNIFIC - broke after 100m losing ground. Lay inwards rounding the first bend striking a track marker.
TRANSTASMAN BUBBLE - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
NATIVES INFERNO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
FATHER TIME - hung inwards and broke near the 200m losing its chance. Shifted inwards marginally when in a break near the 100m hampering a trailing runner.
RANDEL HUSTON P - trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Broke passing the 100m losing all chance.
HERE COMES JANE - trotted roughly near the 1450m having to be steadied. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - hampered by a breaking runner near the 100m which shifted inwards marginally and broke losing all chance. Driver R Jenkins was issued with a warning to display greater awareness when attempting to avoid breaking runners.
Race 4   MATT HARRISON CONSTRUCTION MOBILE PACE
FALCONS WATCH - late scratching at 10.42am on Veterinary advice.
RAGING WHITEBAIT - over-raced middle stages when racing in the parked position.
STEPHS BOY - held up late in the run home.
Race 5   NZB STANDARDBRED UNCUT GEMS TROTTERS CLASSIC (HCP TROT)
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Broke near the 200m losing all chance.
TU TANGATA - slow in the early stages losing ground. Broke over the concluding stages and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(5) alleging the gelding was lapped on at the finish by MIGHTY LOGAN. Driver P Nairn did not contest the protest and TU TANGATA was relegated to 4th placing by the Stewards.
MIGHTY LOGAN - lay inwards near the 2100m losing ground. Lay outwards throughout the run home.
GALWAY GIRL - hung inwards final bend losing ground. Trotted roughly in the run home before switching to a pace near the 20m. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
EUROSTYLE - trotted roughly when weakening in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Butt and the connections advised they were very disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Connections also advised the mare will be further examined in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
Race 6   GARRARDS SIRES' STAKES SERIES (HEAT 4) MOBILE PACE
BUILT FOR GLORY - paced roughly when weakening in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
KASHKEEPER - paced roughly after 150m having to be steadied. Over-raced middle stages.
COLD CHISEL - driver J Morrison advised the off side hopple shortener had become entangled around the hind hopple loop of the colt after being activated.
DREAMS ARE FREE - hung outwards rounding the final bend and early in the run home. Paced roughly in the middle stages of the run home.
CHASE A DREAM - raced wide early.
Race 7   BETAVET UNCUT GEMS GELDINGS & ENTIRES CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
TOBY TOM B - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
WARRIOR CHIEF - paced roughly in the score up.
WARLOCH - hampered in the early stages by HELIUM and locked sulky stays with that runner. Raced wide early.
HELIUM - hung inwards in the early stages despite the efforts of driver S Thornley hampering WARLOCH and locked sulky stays with that runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hung inwards at various stages throughout causing driver S Thornley difficulty. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
HEY BARTENDER - paced roughly and lay inwards final bend when weakening hampering trailing runners and contacted several track markers.
HEISENBERG - raced wide early.
WHO'S DELIGHT - returned to the stabling area with blood present in the mouth. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bitten its tongue.
WAG STAR - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
Race 8   RENWICK FARMS HANDICAP TROT
PRINCE RANIER - held up throughout the run home.
MISSALYSSA - weakened leaving the final bend.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - broke after 150m losing ground briefly hampering an outside runner. Held up until late in the run home.
SHEZA GIFT - trotted roughly in the early stages when racing wide on the track. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Lay inwards near the 1100m when improving to the lead.
WILLANGUS LAD - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
GREENBANK DON - began awkwardly.
PAIGE - held up until late in the run home. Driver S Tomlinson advised she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
ANDY HALL - held up inside the final 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards questioned driver J Dunn regarding his decision not to shift wider on the track when an opportunity existed prior to being covered by an outside runner near the 450m. Mr Dunn explained the gelding invariably hangs inwards and trots roughly rounding the bends when attempting to improve wide on the track and for these reasons he was reluctant to shift wider at that stage. Mr Dunn added the horse had lost ground for a distance rounding the final bend and had been under pressure until being held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages. After considering his explanation and viewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied the tactics he adopted were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
Race 9   RICO LODGE UNCUT GEMS MARES CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
HEY TONIGHT - weakened from the 600m.
ADVANCE PARTY - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver N Williamson advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery with signs of muscle tie-up. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SWEET DIAMOND - raced wide early.
KAHLUA FLYBYE - raced wide early. Driver T Williams defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly leaving the final bend when allowing his horse to drift outwards when being driven out which presented a run to the trailing SWEET DIAMOND prior to the passing lane. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Williams, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.
Race 10   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
ANYTIME AT ALL - checked by a breaking runner after 200m.
MILLWOOD GODDESS - checked and broke after 200m losing all chance.
BLACK MACH - driver S Thornley was warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground rounding the final bend hampering an outside runner.
PLAYING WITH STARS - driver S Hill advised he sustained a punctured sulky tyre in the early stages. Weakened from the 600m.
ASIAN ELVIS - struck the sulky wheel of PLAYING WITH STARS in the early stages. Stewards opened and adjourned an investigation into this incident. Hung inwards after 200m despite the efforts of driver J Morrison checking inside and trailing runners to varying degrees. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Briefly hampered rounding the final bend when an inside runner shifted ground outwards. Weakened leaving the final bend.
SINAI SERMON - late scratching at 12.37pm on Veterinary advice.
GOTTA ELECT BILL - raced wide early. Held up final bend.
THROWYAARMSAROUNDME - over-raced middle stages.
TOPAZ - checked by a breaking runner after 200m and struck several track markers. Held up final bend.
