Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 869A(2) against 1st placing being awarded to QUEEN KIZEN (J Morrison) alleging interference in the run home to CARLA PIXIE (B Orange) placed 2nd. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from both drivers and Stewards, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest. Driver J Morrison was reminded of his obligations to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home. |

ANDY HALL - held up inside the final 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards questioned driver J Dunn regarding his decision not to shift wider on the track when an opportunity existed prior to being covered by an outside runner near the 450m. Mr Dunn explained the gelding invariably hangs inwards and trots roughly rounding the bends when attempting to improve wide on the track and for these reasons he was reluctant to shift wider at that stage. Mr Dunn added the horse had lost ground for a distance rounding the final bend and had been under pressure until being held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages. After considering his explanation and viewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied the tactics he adopted were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further. |

After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Williams, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge. |

After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. |
