Race 7 - DAWSON HARFORD TAYLOR MILE MOBILE PACE
Driver A Sanderson (SPEAK THE TRUTH) admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion on the final turn. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Sanderson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 7 May up to and including 14 May 2024 (6 days).

SWEET OLIVIA - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
EDWARD HILL - weakened from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
FLYING SCOTSMAN - over-raced for a distance passing the 2000m when being restrained to take a trail. Continued to over-race before commencing to weaken from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.
ROMEO FOXTROT - lay in rounding the turns losing ground and in particular the final turn.
LORD POPINJAY - raced wide early.
JASINOVA - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 2   LONE STAR ALEXANDRA PARK MOBILE PACE
GLADYS GREENLAND - lay in contacting track markers near the 1300m. Lay in again rounding the final turn losing ground. Shifted in late in the run home contacting the final track marker.
CRACKER ROCK - raced greenly on a number of occasions. Shifted out abruptly rounding the final turn briefly placing Driver T Mitchell in some difficulty.
Race 3   IRT YOUNG GUNS 2YO TROTTERS SERIES HEAT 2 MOBILE TROT
TRAVELIN SOLDIER - broke as the start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
FINAL APPROACH - broke in the score up losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
KENNY HILL - broke as the start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on gelding's barrier manners.
SHARP IMAGE - weakened in the run home.
Race 4   MAGNESS BENROW SIRES STAKE 3YO FILLIES HEAT 4 MOB PACE
ALL YOU NEED IS ME - beaten for early speed. Commenced to lay in entering the first turn and then continued to hang throughout placing Driver C Dalgety in considerable difficulty. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. A final warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
CHANGE TACT - Trainer S Reid was issued a warning for failing to have the correct colours available. Broke racing into the first turn when being steadied off the back of AKATEA losing its chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
Race 5   WHAT THE HILL @ WOODLANDS NORTHERN TROTTING OAKS MOB TROT
PRINCESS SADIE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Raced wide from 1100m and wide without cover from the 700m.
THE MOONSTONE - broke in the score up losing ground and was well back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners.
HIGH STEP - raced wide early before being restrained towards the rear.
EMPIRE CITY - the murphy blind clip detached during the score up.
Race 6   DAWSON HARFORD NZ MESSENGER FFA MOBILE PACE
SPEAK THE TRUTH - dislodged a track marker near the 900m. Hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final turn.
KANGO - lay inwards near the 900m contacting track markers. Hung inwards and weakened rounding the final turn hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer A Donnelly advised that she would be having the gelding further vetted in the coming days and will advise Stewards should anything be detected.
MERLIN - when questioned regarding the performance Driver Z Butcher stated he was satisfied with the run given the way the entire had responded after having led up.
JOLIMONT - weakened rounding the final turn hampering a trailing runner.
AMERICAN ME - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final turn.
DON'T STOP DREAMING - over-raced middle stages when outside the leader. When questioned regarding the performance Driver N Rasmussen confirmed the entire had over-raced and that she would be recommending a gear change.
Race 7   BRECKON FARMS YOUNG GUNS CARDIGAN BAY STAKES 2YO MOB PACE
SUGAR RAY LINCOLN - raced wide without cover from the 700m.
DEMON BLUE - when questioned regarding the performance driver N Rasmussen advised the gelding had raced lethargically. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
I GOT CHILLS - raced wide early stages.
SEASIDE BOSS - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.
Race 8   PETER BRECKON MEMORIAL NATIONAL TROT FFA MOBILE TROT
OSCAR BONAVENA - placed in restricted room entering the first turn and raced over a track marker.
EUROKASH - broke passing the 400m losing its chance.
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN - Driver B Hope admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly entering the first turn by shifting his gelding inwards when not sufficiently clear resulting in JUST BELIEVE being tightened down on to OSCAR BONAVENA which raced over a track marker. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committed suspended Mr Hope's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 5 May up to and including 15 May 2024 (5 days).
LOVE N THE PORT - weakened rounding the final turn.
Race 9   CLASSIQUE LANDSCAPERS MOBILE PACE
NELSON'S BOY - broke near the 200m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER - lay in rounding the first turn. Badly hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final turn losing its chance
POTTER - commenced to weaken near the 500m hampering a trailing runner and lay in racing over several track markers near the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed mild inflammation of the airway.
SKIPPER - restrained to the rear early but commenced to over-race and was taken forward three wide near the 1600m. Had to be steadied near the 300m after shifting to the marker line when LEO LINCOLN moved down on to the leader's back. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 200m. When questioned regarding his failure to shift out to a three wide position approaching the 400m prior to being covered by FIFTH AND FINAL Driver T Herlihy stated that he was mindful that his runner had over-raced when caught wide over the early and middle stages. Mr Herlihy further stated that he had been aware that POTTER had commenced to weaken so felt his best option was to look to improve down on to the leader's back but that position was then taken up by LEO LINCOLN resulting in SKIPPER being held up briefly. Stewards noted Mr Herlihy's comments and took the matter no further.
Race 10   CADUCEUS CLUB MEMBERS MOBILE PACE
T BONE WALKER - raced keenly middle stages when outside the leader. Weakened in the run home.
BETA PREPARE - Driver D Butcher was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
LOUIE V TONNE - lay in shortly after the start. Continued to lay in at various stages.
DONTLETFEARSTOPYA - raced greenly passing the 700m losing ground.
TAKETHEPLUNGE - lay in when attempting to improve wide rounding the final turn.
