Driver B Butt (UKRAINE) admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(a) in that he shifted inwards in the run home when anticipating a run and struck several track markers. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.

Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. 2YO C&G MOBILE PACE
STRIKEM - trainer M Jones advised the gelding has been treated for muscle tie-up since last racing.
MALAKAI - raced greenly near the 1100m when leading and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver T Williams.
COBA CHARGED - paced roughly rounding the final bend losing ground.
PERSEPHALOUS - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 2   AIRPARK CANTERBURY MOBILE TROT
HERE COMES JANE - broke late in the score up checking a trailing runner losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
NOAH MAGNIFIC - lay inwards near the 1500m contacting a track marker. Shifted inwards near the 180m and struck a track marker. Driver S Thornley was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. Locked sulky stays briefly with DASHER passing the 100m. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had not gained an advantage when striking a track marker near the 180m.
BROTHER LOVE - trainer G Smith was issued a warning for being late to present the gelding on course.
NATIVES INFERNO - broke late in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
WUDABUBBIT - broke near the 1400m losing ground. Broke again near the 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
DASHER - locked sulky stays briefly with NOAH MAGNIFIC passing the 100m.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - broke late in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
JUDY J - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Tomlinson advised the filly had worked hard in the early and middle stages to obtain the lead with the effort taking its toll.
WHAT THE BELL - checked and broke just prior to the start losing ground. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) after being denied a fair start.
CLYDE - connections advised the gelding has had its joints treated since last racing. Permission was granted for the horse to race in alternative colours. Lay inwards rounding the bends losing ground.
SPECIAL EFFECTS - broke after 100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MISS YO - briefly hampered late in the score up by a breaking runner.
Race 3   KEVIN MCCORMACK DECORATING LTD PACE
The start was delayed due to MAJOR HENRY requiring gear attention.
The start was further delayed due to DANCE MONKEY turning out of line.
MIKI'S COURAGE - broke at the start losing ground. Paced roughly in the run home.
DANCE MONKEY - driver B Weaver defended a breach of Rule 858(1)(a) in that he delayed the start when turning out of line and completing an extra circle. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Weaver the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $200. Mr Weaver advised that following the race the mare was showing signs of a respiratory infection which will be treated.
TASI AHNAU - broke at the start losing ground.
HEAVEN - driver K Cameron reported the near side hopple shortener failed to activate due to becoming entangled.
MAJOR HENRY - over-raced when racing in the parked position through the middle stages. Weakened final bend.
SCARLET MADAM - weakened near the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare.
THE MANDALORIAN - trainer B Weaver advised the gelding has been treated for a virus since last racing.
Race 4   WOODLANDS WINNING WEANLINGS 2YO FILLIES MOBILE PACE
SWEET MAGGIE MAE - over-raced early stages. Weakened leaving the final bend hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections revealed a suspected fractured left hind pastern with the filly being treated prior to being transported to a local Veterinary Clinic. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
TYRON'S CONNOISSEUR - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home by a weakening runner.
Race 5   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
MAJOR HAPPY - over-raced middle stages. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
MAJOR HIPSTER - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
ACTION MAJOR - raced wide early.
TANGANYIKA - paced roughly at various stages throughout.
BEAUDIENE QUICK STEP - raced wide early.
SKY VALE - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
BETTERWITHBLING - held up leaving the final bend and until late in the run home.
Race 6   LAMB & HAYWARD HANDICAP TROT
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Again trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be driven out by driver R Close.
TU TANGATA - driver P Nairn was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
FRANCO JOSIAH - late scratching at 3.00pm on Veterinary advice.
EL CONQUEROR - trainer P Nairn advised the gelding has been treated for a hoof complaint since last racing. Weakened leaving the final bend.
JIMMY CARTER - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
Race 7   WOODLANDS 'FIRST AUTUMN MARES' SPRINT MOBILE PACE
JUDGEMENT BAY - over-raced early stages.
GLORYS DELIGHT - driver R Close was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
INSARCHATWIST - over-raced when racing wide in the early stages.
Race 8   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
HERB - crowded by an outside runner rounding the final bend contacting several track markers.
JOSE QUIVERA - broke after 100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened leaving the final bend.
RAGING WHITEBAIT - held up early in the run home.
MAJOR TORQUE - trainer M Jones advised the gelding has had its knees treated since last racing. Weakened final bend.
HELIUM - over-raced early and middle stages causing driver R Harrison considerable difficulty. Shifted up the track when leading passing the 750m which allowed a trailing runner to improve to the inside. Lay inwards rounding the final bend when weakening crowding an inside runner. Junior driver R Harrison (assisted by trainer K Barron) was shown a replay of the manner she drove passing the 750m and advised to make a greater effort to ensure she does not allow her horse to shift wider on the track. In taking this course of action Stewards were mindful of the racing manners of the gelding and placed a warning on the racing record of the horse.
Race 9   TYRE GENERAL 'ABOUT NOW' FILLIES & MARES HCP TROT
PRACTICAL MAGIC - hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m.
GEORGE ELIOT - raced wide from the 950m.
GRETTYMAC - weakened rounding the final bend striking several track markers. Driver R Anderson was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
MUSCLE SASS - raced wide early and middle stages. Broke near the 700m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MISSALYSSA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m.
MARTHA STUART - briefly crowded racing into the first bend by an outside runner. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m. Weakened final bend.
THE BLOSS - driver B Borcoskie was warned for the manner he drove racing into the first bend when crowding an inside runner.
PAIGE - trotted roughly in the run home.
EUROSTYLE - the required veterinary clearance was received. Raced wide early and middle stages. Trotted roughly in the run home.
Race 10   NEW ZEALAND BLOODSTOCK WEANLING SALE 23 MAY MOBILE PACE
WARRIOR CHIEF - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
WOTSONYAMIND - raced greenly racing into the first bend and shifted up the track having to be corrected by driver B Orange. Struck the wheel of BARNSTORMER when shifting outwards leaving the final bend. Paced roughly near the 50m having to be steadied. Driver B Orange was issued with a warning for the manner he drove leaving the final bend. In taking this course of action Stewards were mindful there had been no consequential effects.
CHRIS KYLE - over-raced early stages when wide on the track. Broke near the 2000m losing all chance and was retired from the race. Examined by the Veterinarian and found to have a suspected fractured right hind pastern and was treated prior to being transported from the track in the Horse Ambulance to a local Veterinary Clinic. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
TEDS LEGACY - driver J Curtin admitted a breach of Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) in that he shifted outwards near the 1050m forcing SHEPHERDS DELIGHT wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
SHEPHERDS DELIGHT - forced wider on the track near the 1050m. Raced wide without cover from the 600m.
Race 11   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
LORD MUDRICK - weakened final bend.
ITZ ALL FIRED UP - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.
SPIRITUAL BLISS - trainer B Zampese advised the mare has had its joints treated since last racing. Over-raced through the middle stages.
SPIRITED LOU - weakened from the 600m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
JOAN'S RISING STAR - paced roughly passing the 650m after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of LORD MUDRICK which had shifted ground outwards.
TOUCH N GO - trainer B Zampese advised the mare has been treated for a virus since last racing. Briefly hampered near the 650m.

FAST ACE - had to be steadied when there was a slight easing of the pace near the 1100m.
