Race 1   REHARVEST MOBILE TROT
FLYING SCOTSMAN - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts at the Trainer's request. Over-raced middle stages.
HALBERG - broke near the 250m losing its chance.
THE MOONSTONE - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Lay in and broke near the 900m losing its chance.
Race 2   WOODLANDS STUD STANDOUT SEVEN F & M MOB PACE
ALWAYS B YOU - lay in and lost the leader's back rounding the final turn.
MOLLY BELWIN - back from position at the start. Driver G Sugars was issued a warning.
DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER - over-raced middle stages.
Race 3   FRANKLIN VETS FILLY/MARE OF THE YEAR AT ALEX PARK MOB PACE
NELSON'S BOY - held up early in the home straight and then had difficulty obtaining clear running.
IRISH WHISPERS - when questioned regarding the performance Driver D Butcher stated that he was satisfied with the run after having been left without cover in what was the gelding's first race right handed.
HUGOTASTIC - Driver S Abernethy reported that he had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the cord breaking.
IRON BRIGADE - placed in restricted room passing the 150m and broke when being steadied.
ESCAPE ARTIST - shifted in marginally passing the 150m placing an inside runner in restricted room but was immediately corrected by Driver Z Butcher.
Race 4   NZB STANDARDBRED HARNESS MILLION 3YO TROTTERS FINAL MOB TROT
ALDEBARAN WHAT - unable to maintain its position late in the score up and was back a length at dispatch. Weakened in the run home.
PRINCESS SADIE - broke passing the 1700m briefly hampering a trailing runner. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
THE MERC - pulled hard during the middle stages when leading. Lay in early in the run home despite the efforts of Driver B Williamson and shifted down into the passing lane. A warning was placed on the colt's racing manners however notwithstanding this Mr Williamson was reminded of his obligations given similar circumstances in the future. Mr Williamson advised that this runner had been contacting its wheel discs causing it to over-race and that Trainer K Bublitz would be making corrective gear change prior to resuming.
BOUNCE N BEYOND - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800m.
Race 5   BRECKON FARMS YOUNG GUNS 2YO C & G SERIES HEAT 2 MOBILE PACE
BEACHBREAK - paced roughly near the 1250m. Lay in and contacted a track marker near the 950m. Weakened rounding the final turn.
I GOT CHILLS - raced wide early.
SUGAR RAY LINCOLN - slow to leave the pre-race formation and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the colt's barrier manners. Paced roughly entering the first turn losing ground.
GREAT WHITE - raced wide early.
LINCOLN LOU - over-raced middle stages.
Race 6   GALLAGHER INSURANCE DELIGHTFUL LADY CLASSIC YG 2YOF MOB PACE
AMAZING CAPTAIN - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Co-trainer S Telfer advised that the filly will be turned out for a spell.
CHRISTIES ART - paced roughly passing the 100m.
DEBBIE LINCOLN - raced greenly after being shifted wider near the 750m losing ground.
IM SANDRA DEE - broke early in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. Broke again shortly after the start and galloped a distance before settling. Raced fiercely middle stages when outside the leader. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that this runner had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Driver Z Butcher advised that IM SANDRA DEE had been contacting its own wheel discs causing it to over-race badly.
Race 7   DAWSON HARFORD TAYLOR MILE MOBILE PACE
REPUBLICAN PARTY - briefly placed in restricted room by an inside runner near the 100m.
JOLIMONT - raced wide early. Weakened final turn.
SOONER THE BETTOR - checked and broke approaching the 500m losing its chance.
MACH SHARD - back from position at dispatch. Junior Driver C Hackett, assisted by J Dunn, admitted an associated charge under Rule 858(1)(i) with the Adjudicative Committee imposing a fine of $200. Raced wide early before being restrained to the rear. When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance Co-trainer S Phelan stated that the gelding had raced with little luck in recent starts and had benefited from being saved for one final run.
AMERICAN ME - back from position at dispatch. Driver S O'Reilly admitted an associated charge under Rule 858(1)(i) with the Adjudicative Committee imposing a fine of $200. Held up early final turn.
MERLIN - shifted out near the 100m after utilising the passing lane briefly placing an outside runner in restricted room.
SPEAK THE TRUTH - pre-race warmed. Raced wide with cover from 1050m. Driver A Sanderson was questioned regarding an incident late in the run home when his runner was placed in restricted room and contacted the sulky of BETTER ECLIPSE with its near hind. It was established that there was movement from an inside and outside runners and blame could not be solely attributed to any individual horse or driver. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. An investigation was opened and adjourned into the manner in which Mr Sanderson used his whip on the final turn.
DON'T STOP DREAMING - raced wide throughout. Stewards investigated an incident approaching the 1000m where this runner appeared to be forced to race wider briefly when KANGO shifted out from the running line. It was established that Driver D Butcher (KANGO) had commenced his outward movement prior to DON'T STOP DREAMING reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary.
SOUTH COAST ARDEN - held up final turn and throughout the run home.
BETTER ECLIPSE - raced wide with cover from the 1000m before being shifted four wide near the 700m. Driver G Sugars admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he allowed his gelding to shift inwards approaching the 500m checking SOONER THE BETTOR which broke losing all chance. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Sugars' Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 27 April up to and including 2 May 2024 (5 days).
Race 8   CLASSIQUE LANDSCAPERS NORTHERN REGION CHAMPS FINAL HCP PACE
The start was delayed when HESASHORETHING became fractious and was sent to the outside of the unruly.
BAD MEDICINE - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room early and middle stages of the home straight.
VILLAGE REBEL - Driver S Abernethy was questioned regarding a possible breach of the Push Out Rule approaching the 1000m where MIKI SHAN appeared to be forced to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Mr Abernethy, Stewards took the matter no further.
HESASHORETHING - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the horse's barrier manners. Pulled hard when being restrained after having been shifted three wide passing the 800m.
Race 9   LONE STAR ALEXANDRA PARK LYELL CREEK STAKES FFA MOB TROT
ALL CASHED UP(AUS) - over-raced middle stages.
OSCAR BONAVENA - pre-race warmed.
JUST BELIEVE - pre-race warmed. Driver G Sugars reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
LOVE N THE PORT - lay out at various stages during the running.
Race 10   NATIONAL STYLE STAKES AT ALEX PARK FRI 24 MAY MOB PACE
FRISCO BAY - paced roughly shortly after the start. Held up early in the run home.
DOMINUS - slow to score up but was in position prior to the candy pole.
SUNSHINE SHELBY - held up early final turn.
