Race 9 - REBECCA SINNAMON/COREY SMITH GET MARRIED TODAY MOB PACE
Driver B Williamson (SWEET SOUTHERN LASS) admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) when shifting ground outwards near the 1700m forcing HUKI FELLA wider on the track. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.

Race 11 - COX FAMILY HANDICAP TROT
Driver J Cox (PYRAMID MYSTIC) defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly when shifting ground inwards near the 1300m making contact with FIERY BANDITO which broke in consequence. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards, K Green (FIERY BANDITO) and J Cox, the Adjudicative Commitee dismissed the charge.

Race 1   CRAIG HEYRICK AT HARCOURTS MOBILE PACE
ASTA - lay inwards leaving final bend.
MECHANICAL BULL - weakened final bend.
HAVARTI ARDEN - raced wide early.
LA BAMBA - out of position at the start. Driver R Austin was issued with a warning for failing to maintain his barrier position. Paced roughly for several strides near the 2000m after being shifted inwards by an outside runner, losing ground.
LEDGER'S MAID - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 2   OLPHERT CONTRACTING LTD MOBILE PACE
LORTON VALE - lay inwards rounding the final bend and early stages of the run home.
WESTAR MOLLY - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1500m. When asked to comment on the performance driver J Dunn advised that the mare had worked hard early to obtain that position, however notwithstanding that he was disappointed with the effort.
MONTAGE - raced wide early.
BOMBAY GLACIER - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1200m.
FIREFOREFIDDLE - over-raced through the middle stages.
I'M WATCHING YOU - weakened from the 600m. When asked to comment on the performance driver M Williamson expressed disappointment and could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
MAGIC SIGN - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1400m.
SHEZZA VINNY - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 3   CADUCEUS CLUB OF SOUTHLAND TROT
WINNING BONES - when asked to comment on the improved performance trainer M Williamson advised that the gelding had appreciated the drop in class from recent racing and races well at this course over the distance of today's race.
RUBY SEDDON - trotted roughly in the run home.
WITHOUT COMPARISON - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
PETRONELLI GEE - checked shortly after the start by an outside runner.
GRANNY ROSE - checked and broke just prior to the tapes being released losing all chance. Following the race Stewards reviewed the films of the start and after speaking with driver M Williamson declared GRANNY ROSE a non-runner pursuant to Rule 213(1)(j) due to being denied a fair start.
DEL'S CREATION - shifted in abruptly just prior to the start, hampering and checking GRANNY ROSE. Broke shortly the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
KRACKALING - locked sulky wheels with JOHNS BOY shortly after the start and broke as a consequence losing all chance. Stewards spoke with driver B Williamson regarding this incident. Mr Williamson explained that after becoming awkwardly placed behind JORDAN ANNE which was slow to begin, he had shifted to the outside of that runner, and despite the efforts of himself and driver A Armour (JOHNS BOY), the two runners had locked sulky wheels. After viewing replays Stewards were satisfied with the explanation of Mr Williamson and took the matter no further.
JOHNS BOY - locked sulky wheels with KRACKALING shortly after the start.
HUCKLEBERRY - broke at the start for a considerable distance losing all chance.
Race 4   GALLAGHER INSURANCE MOBILE PACE
SPORTY CHARLIE - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend. When asked to comment on the improved performance driver K Larsen advised that the gelding had benefitted from a recent gear change and receiving an economical run today.
BETTER BE WATCHING - checked near the 1000m when an outside runner shifted inwards.
AMERICAN MAC - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race Veterinary examination at the request of connections after the gelding showed signs of soreness on return to the stabling area, revealed some lameness in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
TABASCO - raced wide early.
SINAI SERMON - raced wide early.
SKY ROCKET - held up by a weakening runner final bend and was again held up throughout the run home. Driver R Close reported he did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
MIKI BENNETT - raced wide early until obtaining cover near the 1000m. Driver T Williams admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he shifted ground inwards near the 1000m when insufficiently clear of BETTER BE WATCHING which was checked. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
ASIAN ELVIS - held up final bend and early in the run home.
TRAIL BOSS - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
RIGHTAZZ - placed in restricted room by an inside runner final bend.
DURRANT - lay out leaving the final bend placing RIGHTAZZ in restricted room.
BOBBIES ROCK - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 5   ALABAR SOUTHERN SUPREMACY STAKES FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
BUILT FOR GLORY - shifted up the track early in the run home having to be straightened by driver T Williams.
DREAMS ARE FREE - Stewards questioned driver N Williamson regarding the tactics he adopted during the running. Mr Williamson advised that after working hard through the middle stages when chasing the field, he elected to give the colt some respite and save it for one run. After considering the matter, Stewards were satisfied Mr Williamson's tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
Race 6   ENTAIN/COATS & SCHUCK JEWELLERS HANDICAP TROT
DONT ASK - trotted roughly in the run home.
MIXED FAITH - over-raced for a distance near the 2000m. Raced three wide from the 900m. Weakened leaving the final bend. Trainer/driver B Williamson reported the mare had trotted roughly during the running and it was his intention to send the horse for a spell.
SALLY LINDENNY - raced four wide from the 850m before weakening from the 500m. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule when JIMMY CARTER raced wider on the track near the 1500m. After viewing replays, it was established that driver K Green (SALLY LINDENNY) had commenced her outwards movement prior to JIMMY CARTER reaching her sulky wheel, accordingly no further action was deemed necessary. When asked to comment on the performance driver K Green could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
Race 7   MACCA LODGE/NEVELE R STUD SOUTHERN OAKS FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
AARDIE B MIKI - over-raced middle stages.
ALWAYS TICKING - hampered near the 1200m.
RAKNRUIN - hampered near the 1200m.
FIRST LIGHT - hampered near the 1200m. Raced in restricted room near the 300m contacting and racing inside several track markers.
POST PAINTER - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Shifted ground inwards placing FIRST LIGHT in restricted room which contacted and raced inside several track markers. Driver R Close admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(c) in that he forced another runner to race over track markers. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.
RUBY ROE - raced greenly when attempting to obtain the lead near the 1200m hampering trailing runners. Weakened from the 400m hampering trailing runners. When asked to comment on the performance trainer/driver N Williamson advised that the filly had raced greenly and over-raced at various stages which had taken its toll, adding that RUBY ROE may be better suited to racing with cover. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
Race 8   DIAMOND CREEK FARM 2YO CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
MARKETPLACE - raced greenly shortly after the start.
UKRAINE - shifted ground inwards in the run home contacting several track markers. Stewards opened and adjourned an enquiry into this incident.
RUBIRA - shifted inwards throughout the run home having to be straightened by driver B Orange and locked sulky stays with ALWAYS DREAMING over the concluding stages.
BETTORS ANVIL - raced four wide briefly near the 1100m before obtaining the parked position.
ALWAYS DREAMING - locked sulky stays with RUBIRA over the concluding stages when placed in restricted room. Following the race authorisation of placings was withheld until driver N Williamson had viewed the footage of the concluding stages before electing not to proceed with a protest against 1st placing being awarded to RUBIRA.
Race 9   REGENT CAR COURT SOUTHERN CUPS FINAL (HANDICAP PACE)
BEACH FLYBYE - tangled away.
NUTCRACKER - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Weakened final bend.
STILL ROCKIN - paced roughly and broke racing into the first bend hampering trailing runners and losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Paced roughly and weakened from the 800m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
JORDY - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Lay inwards leaving the final bend.
GOT YOU COVERED - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Weakened final bend.
ONE CHANGE - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 10   FOVEAUX COMMUNICATIONS LTD MOBILE PACE
SAGWITCH - struck track markers near the 1800m when being restrained to take cover. Driver M Hurrell was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
SOUTH SEAS ROCK - over-raced middle stages.
