Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
VRILO - unable to maintain the trail behind FOVEAUX GAMBLER passing the 1100m despite the efforts of driver C Wigg resulting in HALEY ROBYN being able to shift inwards and obtain the vacant trailing position. Ms Wigg was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
TEDDY BAKER - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer M Williamson advised the gelding had been better suited to a drop back in class from recent racing.
FLYAWAY - driver W Frost was warned for the manner in which he eased the pace racing into the first bend resulting in the trailing TEDDY BAKER contacting his sulky wheel. In taking this course of action Stewards were mindful there had been no consequential effects.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - raced wide early.
Race 2   ANDY CLARKE CELEBRATES 50 MOBILE TROT
GEORGE ELIOT - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver T Grant. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Struck the sulky wheel of BUFFY NORTHSTAINS near the 600m when shifting ground outwards and trotted roughly losing ground. Mr Grant admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident when shifting ground. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. Held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home. Came together with MARKTHEWARRIOR near the 100m.
SILVERLININGS - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Broke over the concluding stages.
WUDABUBBIT - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke passing the 200m losing its chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
REGAL SIERRA - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort.
WHAT THE BELL - held up final bend. Broke passing the 100m.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - came together with GEORGE ELIOT near the 100m.
Race 3   BUY A WOODLANDS WEANLING - MAY 23 MOBILE PACE
MOENUI MISS - over-raced middle stages.
FOLLOW YOUR DREAM - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the sliding blinds when having the field covered.
TEETAN - weakened final bend.
DOVER TERRACE - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
GOOD TIME BETTY - raced wide early.
CHICAGO BEAR - hung inwards near the 1000m when attempting to improve three wide. Again hung inwards leaving the final bend.
SOLAR NEIGH - raced wide with cover from the 1000m. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of the connections revealed the early signs of a respiratory infection which will be treated.
LIGHT ME UP - raced wide with cover from the 1000m. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange could offer no explanation other than to advise the gelding had hung during the running. Trainer T Bamford advised that he expected the gelding to derive benefit from the race in what was its first start for the stable after being freshened.
MIKI'S COURAGE - raced wide from the 1100m. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
Race 4   CONTINENTAL EVENT HIRE MOBILE PACE
GOTTA ELECT BILL - held up early in the run home.
DAVE DULEY - driver J Dunn was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
TOBY TOM B - raced wide early. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had worked hard in the early stages to obtain a forward position and had been unsuited to racing parked.
RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - held up final bend and early in the run home. Paced roughly passing the 200m when shifting inwards to utilise the passing lane.
Race 5   K B ELECTRICS HANDICAP TROT
LOVEY DOVEY NOVA - lay inwards near the 2200m striking track markers.
MUSCLYNN - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened final bend.
RANDEL HUSTON P - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide from the 700m. Trotted roughly in the run home.
HERE COMES JANE - held up leaving the final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home.
PARIS PRINCE - held up late in the run home.
THE BLOSS - weakened final bend. Checked and broke near the 150m when an inside runner shifted outwards.
SHEZA GIFT - raced wide early. Broke approaching the 100m. Driver M Williamson defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly near the 150m when shifting ground outwards and checking THE BLOSS (S O'Reilly) which broke. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and both drivers, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and after submissions on penalty imposed a fine of $400.
BOYZ INVASION - briefly raced wide near the 1500m. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule when TI AMO BELLE shifted ground outwards as BOYZ INVASION was improving wide on the track. After viewing the replays it was established that driver B Orange (TI AMO BELLE) had commenced his outward movement prior to BOYZ INVASION reaching his sulky wheel and accordingly no further action was deemed necessary.
Race 6   PI & GJ KENNARD BLOODSTOCK MOBILE PACE
KAWATIRI CREEK - weakened final bend.
WHITE STAR ORLANDO - over-raced early stages before commencing to race fiercely for a distance passing the 1400m when driver C Dalgety attempted to restrain the horse to obtain cover. Choked down passing the 1100m and was taken wider on the track before falling shortly after severely checking trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small abrasion above the gelding's left eye which was treated. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Driver C Dalgety was examined by St John personnel and cleared of injury.
LORD MUDRICK - severely checked near the 1050m by a fallen runner with the gelding breaking and unbalancing driver C Butt and was retired from the race.
BLACK MACH - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
ACENTO - severely checked by a fallen runner near the 1050m with driver R Holmes being dislodged from the sulky. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Mr Holmes was examined by St John personnel and cleared of injury.
EDDIE OSEI - broke late in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Checked by a fallen runner near the 1050m and was retired from the race.
CEE WHO'S BETTOR - held up final bend.
Race 7   THE BREEDERS 50TH ANNIVERSARY MOBILE PACE
WARLOCH - over-raced middle stages.
XLENDI - driver B Butt elected to race without front shoes after the gelding cast the near fore shoe in the preliminary.
HELIUM - weakened final bend before laying inwards and crowding an inside runner near the 300m.
HEISENBERG - crowded by an outside runner near the 300m and struck and dislodged a track marker.
WHO'S DELIGHT - hung inwards throughout the run home causing driver G Smith difficulty. Mr Smith advised he did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
FRANCO INDIE - raced wide early.
Race 8   FUTURE WEALTH SIRES' STAKES AGED CLASSIC (HANDICAP TROT)
FEEL THE MOMENT - weakened passing the 500m.
WHO'S QUEEN - broke at the start losing all chance.
CODY BANNER - broke in the early stages losing ground. Trotted roughly throughout the run home and was unable to be driven out by driver M Williamson.
TU TANGATA - trainer P Nairn advised the gelding has been treated for muscle tie-up since last racing. Tangled away.
BET N WIN - Stewards lodged a protest against 1st placing being awarded under Rule 869(7B) alleging the gelding had gained an advantage by racing inside the final track marker prior to the passing lane. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and driver B Butt, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest. Mr Butt admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(a) in that he struck the final track marker prior to the passing lane and the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
GALWAY GIRL - hung inwards near the 2100m striking and dislodging a track marker. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.
EL CONQUEROR - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
Race 9   CANTERBURY PLAINS CHALLENGE SERIES (HEAT 3) MOBILE PACE
NED KELLY - hung outwards at various stages during the running causing driver J Gray some difficulty. Weakened in the run home.
KINK - held up final bend. Checked and broke near the 75m when racing to the inside of PHILADELPHIA FILLY. After questioning drivers P Davis (KINK) and A Cameron (PHILADELPHIA FILLY) and viewing the replays, it was established that WRIGGLES RUFUS which was racing in advance of KINK had shifted outwards marginally simultaneous to PHILADELPHIA FILLY shifting inwards marginally resulting in KINK being placed in restricted room and breaking. After considering the matter, Stewards were unable to apportion blame to any one horse or driver and accordingly took the matter no further.
ITZ MAGICAL MEG - driver R May was warned for the manner he drove near the 1250m when easing the pace resulting in trailing runners being hampered.
PHILADELPHIA FILLY - hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1250m.
SANTANNA MACH - over-raced middle stages. Hampered passing the 1250m and broke briefly after a slight easing of the pace.
EBURY STREET - held up final bend. Driver T Bamford was warned for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.
FOLLOW ME FANTASY - weakened leaving the final bend.

AVENGER - weakened final bend.
PURE COURAGE - weakened leaving the final bend.
CHRIS KYLE - over-raced early stages. Paced roughly rounding the final bend losing ground.
