BEVRON - hung inwards leaving the final bend striking a track marker. | |
MONKEYCMONKEYDOO - slow to begin. Struck several track markers racing into the first bend when crowded for racing room. Held up final bend and early in the run home. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages. | |
OSMIUM - broke racing into the first bend when positioned to the inside of DIAMOND HARBOUR losing all chance. Stewards questioned drivers C Thornley (DIAMOND HARBOUR) and R Close (OSMIUM) regarding this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing from both drivers it was established that Mr Thornley had shifted his runner inwards and commenced to ease OSMIUM down the track when entitled to do so however shortly after as Mr Close was conceding his position, the trailing MONKEYCMONKEYDOO had improved to the inside of both runners resulting in OSMIUM being briefly placed in restricted room and breaking shortly after. After considering the matter, Stewards were unable to apportion blame to any one horse or driver and took the matter no further. | |
