-Fo0B__BU9g THE GARDENER'S PRIDE - held up final bend and early in the run home.
BEVRON - hung inwards leaving the final bend striking a track marker.
MONKEYCMONKEYDOO - slow to begin. Struck several track markers racing into the first bend when crowded for racing room. Held up final bend and early in the run home. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
OSMIUM - broke racing into the first bend when positioned to the inside of DIAMOND HARBOUR losing all chance. Stewards questioned drivers C Thornley (DIAMOND HARBOUR) and R Close (OSMIUM) regarding this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing from both drivers it was established that Mr Thornley had shifted his runner inwards and commenced to ease OSMIUM down the track when entitled to do so however shortly after as Mr Close was conceding his position, the trailing MONKEYCMONKEYDOO had improved to the inside of both runners resulting in OSMIUM being briefly placed in restricted room and breaking shortly after. After considering the matter, Stewards were unable to apportion blame to any one horse or driver and took the matter no further.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - trotted roughly early stages.
MILLIE LET LOOSE - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
JACKS MATE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Weakened leaving the final bend.
MONARO MEG - held up early in the run home.
BRAVEHEARTHIGHLANDER - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding had worked hard in the middle stages to improve to a forward position with the effort taking its toll.
FORGIVENESS - broke leaving the final bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
SOLEMN SON - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Trotted roughly in the run home.

WAIKARI BARB - raced wide early. Weakened rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery with blood tests recommended. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
AMALFI - hampered rounding the final bend by a weakening runner.
WISHFUL THINKING - paced roughly rounding the first bend. Hampered final bend by a weakening runner. Broke near the 400m losing all chance. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections revealed no abnormalities.
ELEGANT ACHIEVER - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
VERDUCCI - out of position at the start. Driver J Young-Grant was issued a warning. Raced wide early. Mrs Young-Grant was also warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
DESTINY'S DREAM - weakened final bend.
MY SKATJIE - paced roughly shortly after the start. Connections advised the gelding cast the near fore shoe during the running.
TAKE A SELFIE - driver C Alford was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
SHAPELY - paced roughly and broke briefly near the 1300m losing ground.
AMBLESIDE DRIVE - over-raced early and middle stages.
CHAMPAGNE NEN - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
FLYING FOR ME - driver D Reardon was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.

DANCE MONKEY - struck track markers early in the run home. Driver B Weaver was issued with a warning to make a greater effort to avoid contacting track markers in future.
TASI AHNAU - held up early in the run home.
SCARLET MADAM - broke at the start losing ground.

CHANGEFORTHEBETA - underwent a post-race veterinary examination after returning to the assembly area with blood present in the mouth which revealed the gelding had bitten its tongue.
PACIFIC THUNDER - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BIGGLES - lay inwards near the 180m having to be straightened by its driver hampering a trailing runner. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken to driver J Dunn (KAIRAKI DELIGHT) placed 4th, to ascertain whether he wished to lodge a protest after being briefly hampered in the middle stages of the run home. Mr Dunn advised his chances had not been affected and elected not to proceed with a protest.
SPECTATOR - held up early in the run home.
BETSY MAY - crowded by an outside runner shortly after the start and broke briefly losing ground. Weakened from the 400m.

JUSTIN FUN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2000m. Hung inwards rounding the final bend causing driver R May some difficulty. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.

A LATE LATE PRESSY - trainer P Wakelin advised the mare would be racing in season. Broke at the start before briefly switching to a pace losing considerable ground. Over-raced middle stages. Driver P Wakelin was issued a warning for striking the final track marker prior to the passing lane.
COSMIC ANGEL - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
SPEEDING SPIRIT - raced greenly leaving the final bend and lay outwards near the 250m hampering an outside runner having to be straightened by its driver.
RUSH - broke near the 400m hampering a trailing runner losing its chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.

ROBO TROUBLE - briefly crowded near the 250m when an inside runner lay outwards.

LESTER - held up throughout the run home. Driver K Butt advised she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
DOUBLE TIME - connections advised the gelding has had a fetlock treated since last racing.
HOMEBUSH LAD - co-trainers G & N Hope were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding to race with the incorrect number.
DALTON SHARD - driver J Dunn was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he drove between the 1700m and the 1400m when trailing too closely.
Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had viewed a replay of the start and were satisfied that no horses were materially affected after the front and 20 metre barrier strands were slightly slow to activate.

HE'S A BAY - held up early in the run home.
STYLE COUNCIL - began awkwardly. Hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Had to be steadied near the 1200m after a slight easing of the pace.
THE FINISHER - broke after 100m hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Had to be steadied near the 1200m after a slight easing of the pace. Junior driver A Cameron was warned for using her whip on a runner out of contention. Connections advised the gelding cast the near front shoe during the running and the horse would now be sent for a spell.
ULTIMATE COUNSEL - broke briefly at the start. Had to be steadied near the 1200m after a slight easing of the pace.
BLUE ROCK DANCER - driver B Hope advised he did not activate the hopple shorteners due to the gelding pacing roughly in the early stages.
CHEEKY RED - had to be steadied near the 1200m after a slight easing of the pace.
PERAKI SEELSTER - raced wide early. Hung outwards throughout the run home and shifted up the track. Driver G Sugars was spoken to and advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.

PURE COURAGE - broke at the start and shifted outwards briefly hampering an outside runner losing considerable ground. Had to be steadied near the 1200m after a slight easing of the pace.
TANZANIA - briefly hampered at the start by an inside runner.
HAZER - broke briefly at the start.
CHRIS KYLE - trainer B Negus was issued a warning for not having the correct colours available. Had to be steadied near the 1200m after a slight easing of the pace.
HARRISON - trainer J Morrison was warned for presenting the gelding to race without the notified sliding blinds. Broke at the start losing ground.

LOVEY DOVEY NOVA - began awkwardly.
JASPRIT TROUBLE - held up final bend and until late in the run home.
LIVING THE MOMENT - broke rounding the first bend losing ground after striking the sulky wheel of DD'S SUPER STUART which shifted ground inwards.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly passing the 1100m.
MUSCLYNN - trainer P Wakelin advised the mare would be racing in season. Held up final bend.
THE ROYAL GAMBLE - held up final bend.
MOSES - broke after 100m losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1900m. Broke again passing the 200m losing its chance.
DD'S SUPER STUART - raced wide early. Held up early in the run home. Driver C Markham admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting ground inwards rounding the first bend when not sufficiently clear of LIVING THE MOMENT which was checked and broke. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Markham's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 19 April 2024 (2 days).
AARDIE'S PEAK - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
HARMONIA - broke near the 1700m losing ground. Hung inwards and struck track markers near the 1200m. Weakened final bend.
ROYAL DEL - broke briefly near the 1900m hampering a trailing runner. Held up early in the run home.

GEORGIE ZUKOV - raced wide early. Lay inwards in the middle stages of the run home and shifted into the passing lane having to be corrected by its driver. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken to driver R Close (FLYAWAY) placed 3rd, to ascertain whether he wished to lodge a protest after GEORGIE ZUKOV had shifted into the passing lane. Mr Close advised his chances had not been affected and elected not to proceed with a protest.

TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer B Ward advised the mare is best suited to racing on grass tracks and received an economical run throughout from an inside second line barrier draw.
