Race 1   GARRARDS SIRES' STAKES 3YO C & G (HEAT 2) MOBILE PACE
ALWAYS A PORSCHE - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again racing around the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 2   BETAVET RACING REWARDS SHOWCASE TROT
There was a delay to the start due to BARRYTOWN requiring a change of sulky.
CLYDE - began awkwardly. Lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 2100m.
JORDAN ANNE - held up final bend.
GEORGE ELIOT - hampered and dictated inwards checking an inside runner shortly after the start.
GINAS MAJESTY - shifted inwards shortly after the start hampering and checking inside runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide without cover from the 800m. Broke over the concluding stages.
MUSCLYNN - broke at the start losing all chance.
A LATE LATE PRESSY - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened final bend.
LOOKSLIKEATRIXTER - hampered at the start.
BRIANNA - checked and broke shortly after the start losing ground. Weakened final bend.
RANDEL HUSTON P - held up final bend. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
Race 3   HECTORS GIN BY AKAROA CRAFT RACING REWARDS MOBILE PACE
EDDIE OSEI - over-raced and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of SWEET SPIRIT and broke near the 2300m hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation during the running. Driver W House advised he would be recommending gear changes in an attempt to settle the gelding.
STAR MAGIC - hampered near the 2400m.
HES FAST AND FURIOUS - lay inwards shortly after the start and had to be straightened. Driver S Tomlinson reported she received a punctured sulky tyre near the 2400m.
JACCKA OPA - raced wide early.
STYLE COUNCIL - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Cameron. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered near the 2300m by a breaking runner. Raced wide near the 1300m. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule when MORERE shifted outwards however after hearing from driver K Cameron no further action was required.
SCARLETT'S LEGACY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2300m.
ARDEN'S PURSUIT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2300m. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding had to work hard in the middle stages which had taken its toll over the 2600m journey.
MORERE - hampered near the 2400m. Over-raced middle stages. Again hampered by a breaking runner near the 250m.
THE FINISHER - raced greenly when over-racing near the 2400m and made contact with the sulky of HES FAST AND FURIOUS and broke hampering trailing runners. Raced three wide from the 1000m. Hung inwards and broke again near the 250m hampering a trailing runner losing its chance. Driver A Cameron reported she had difficulty steering the gelding throughout. A warning was placed on the racing record of the horse.
Race 4   WOODLANDS WINNING WEANLINGS MOBILE PACE
STILL ROCKIN - raced roughly losing ground rounding the final bend.
TIDE AND TIME - held up early in the run home.
HELIUM - over-raced middle stages.
CELTIC SPIRIT - raced wide early.
WATERMELON SUGAR - held up rounding the final bend.
POINT BREAK - when questioned regarding the performance driver R May advised that the gelding had been striking its knee. Trainer B Hill advised he would be making gear changes prior to racing next.
Race 5   CURIOUS GARDEN GIN RACING REWARDS MOBILE PACE
GLENGARRY MOONLIGHT - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
FOURTH AMENDMENT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 850m.
MOTOR MOUTH - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver J Gray advised he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds in consequence.
IGETAKICKOUTOFYOU - raced wide early. Broke near the 850m hampering trailing runners losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KAYSANS ROCK - over-raced middle stages placing driver N Rasmussen in some difficulty. Lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
NYLA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 850m. Weakened final bend.
TOPAZ - held up throughout the run home. Driver S O'Reilly advised she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
RAGING WHITEBAIT - over-raced in the score up. Again over-raced middle stages. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed replays of the start and were satisfied the gelding had not started in advance of its barrier position.
SARASOTA SUNSET - hampered by a breaking runner near the 850m.
BOBBIES ROCK - raced wide early.
THE REAL MCCOY - raced wide early.
Race 6   TK PLASTERING MOBILE TROT
WESTAR MILLY - lay inwards and raced inside track markers rounding the final bend.
ALDEBARAN FLOSS - trotted roughly rounding the final bend. Lay inwards simultaneously to the inside runner TU TANGATA shifting outwards near the 250m with both runners locking wheels.
MARTHA STUART - over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend. Held up early in the run home.
SALLY LINDENNY - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TU TANGATA - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Shifted outwards marginally near the 250m simultaneously to ALDEBARAN FLOSS laying inwards with both runners locking wheels. Stewards questioned drivers P Nairn (TU TANGATA) and S Ottley (ALDEBARAN FLOSS) regarding this and after hearing from both drivers were unable to apportion blame onto any one horse or driver and took the matter no further.
Race 7   CANTERBURY STANDARDBRED BREEDERS STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
AMORE INFIDA - co-trainers M & N Purdon were issued a warning for presenting the mare to race with sliding blinds instead of the notified blinds.
SHE'S TOUGH - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
INSARCHATWIST - over-raced middle stages when racing in the parked position.
Race 8   COCA-COLA SUPERSTARS CHAMPIONSHIP (MOBILE PACE)
ALTA METEOR - driver J Cox admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting ground near the 250m and striking the sulky wheel of BEACH BALL which punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
BEACH BALL - raced wide early. Driver R May reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 250m.
Race 9   BEVERAGE BROTHERS RACING REWARDS MOBILE PACE
WARRIOR CHIEF - raced wide early.
AVENGER - over-raced middle stages.
LEWEY MAGUIRE - broke as the start was effected hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up final bend.
JACK TAR - raced wide from the 800m.
XLENDI - raced wide early.
DALTON SHARD - driver J Dunn advised that he did not activate the removeable deafeners or sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
SMART I AM - over-raced in the score up causing driver J Morrison difficulty.
CHRIS KYLE - hung inwards and weakened from the 400m.
WARLOCH - held up final bend.
TEMPO WARRIOR - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
Race 10   GARRARDS RACING REWARDS HANDICAP TROT
SUNNY LOUIS - broke at the start losing ground.
JASPRIT TROUBLE - over-raced when racing in the parked position through the middle stages.
SODS LAW - lay inwards striking a track marker rounding the final bend.
PAIGE - broke leaving the final bend losing its chance.
OUR PEGASUS PEARL - held up rounding the final bend.
BLITHE - stood on the mark hampering a trailing runner and then broke shortly after losing ground.
BOYZ INVASION - hampered at the start.
GRETTYMAC - fractious prior to the start and began awkwardly.
AROHA KENNY - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide from the 650m.
FIERY BANDITO - driver K Green was advised to start wider on the track when drawn unruly.
Race 11   GOLD BAND TAXIS RACING REWARDS MOBILE PACE
FERGALICIOUS - over-raced near the 1700m and became awkwardly placed to the back of FOVEAUX GAMBLER having to be steadied resulting in a slight easing of the pace hampering trailing runners. Held up throughout the run home.
SANTANNA MACH - had to be steadied when there was an easing of the pace near the 1700m.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - held up over the concluding stages. Driver S Tomlinson advised she did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
FLYAWAY - over-raced middle stages.
BETTERWITHBLING - raced wide early.
SPIRITED LOU - over-raced middle stages. Had to be steadied when there was an easing of the pace near the 1700m. Held up early in the run home and again over the concluding stages. Driver K Butt advised she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
DULCINEA - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Top
