Mr Grant advised he would be defending the charge and the hearing was adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee. | |

At an adjourned hearing on 19 April, driver T Grant (GEORGE ELIOT) defended a charge under Rule 868(2) alleging he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible finishing place by failing to show sufficient vigour in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence, the Adjudicative Committee reserved their decision. | |
Following an adjourned hearing on 19 April where driver T Grant defended a breach of Rule 868(2) alleging he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure GEORGE ELIOT was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible finishing place by failing to show sufficient vigour in the run home, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and after receiving submissions on penalty from all parties, Mr Grant's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 10 May up to and including 2 June 2024 (8 days). |
