Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. MOBILE TROT
CLYDE - broke as the start was effected losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 1400m.
WHAT THE BELL - trotted roughly near the 150m having to be steadied by its driver.
SHANDON BELLS - raced wide early and was restrained to the rear of the field.
EMILY - lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 1500m.
LOOKSLIKEATRIXTER - lay outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide from the 800m.
SUNNY LOUIS - late scratching at 10.53am on Veterinary advice.
WINNING BONES - broke as the start was effected losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HARMONIA - broke late in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
EDWARD HILL - pre-race warmed. Trotted roughly and then broke passing the 800m losing all chance and was retired from the race.
KRACKALING - struck a track marker near the 1400m. Driver B Williamson was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for allowing his runner to contact a track marker.
Race 2   BUY A WOODLANDS WEANLING - MAY 23 MOBILE PACE
REMISSION - paced roughly in the score up hampering a trailing runner.
GOOD TIME BETTY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 100m.
FULHAM JIVE - hampered and broke early in the score up however was in position at the start. Broke passing the 100m when shifting ground losing its chance and hampering a trailing runner. The off side hopple connecting strap broke when in a break. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously satisfactory condition.
ALWAYS A PORSCHE - broke near the 250m losing all chance.
Race 3   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
FERGALICIOUS - held up final bend.
KINK - raced wide early.
MIDFREW LUCRE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 250m and then held up over the concluding stages.
STRAIGHT FLUSH - raced wide from the 650m.
CEE WHO'S BETTOR - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend.
LORD MUDRICK - initially shifted outwards near the 150m when awkwardly placed behind the weakening KINK and then hung outwards hampering an outside runner. Driver C Butt was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he drove at this stage. When assessing this Stewards took into account his horse had hung outwards when he attempted to take corrective action.
KAWATIRI CREEK - hampered by an inside runner near the 150m and then held up over the concluding stages.
STAR MAGIC - had to be steadied when awkwardly placed close to the sulky of CEE WHO'S BETTOR when there was an easing of the pace near the 250m and broke losing all chance hampering an outside runner.
JUDGEMENT BAY - raced wide early.
Race 4   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
GLENGARRY MOONLIGHT - over-raced middle stages.
CARRERA KAHU - raced wide early. Locked wheels with CHASE THE STARS which lay inwards near the 400m losing ground.
WOLF OF WALL STREET - hampered near the 350m.
CHASE THE STARS - raced wide from the 1100m. Lay inwards and locked wheels with CARRERA KAHU near the 400m checking and hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
ACTION MAJOR - hampered near the 650m. Hampered again near the 350m and shifted in and struck a track marker.
DANCING DESIRE - broke near the 650m checking and hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
DONTTELLTHEBOYS - checked by a breaking runner near the 650m. Hampered near the 350m and shifted in and struck a track marker.
FOURTH AMENDMENT - hampered near the 350m.
RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - hampered near the 650m. Checked and stumbled before breaking near the 350m losing its chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration on the left front coronet band.
NYLA - raced wide early. Checked near the 350m.
BETTOR BE SHARP - raced wide early.
Race 5   EQUINE PRODUCTS NEW ZEALAND PACE
There was a delay to the start after several runners were fractious with the field being turned away to readdress the barriers.
BLAZING REACTOR - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MANDALAY BAY - the breastplate clip detached during the running.
A DANCING ROCKA - broke shortly after the start after the hopple shorteners were activated and bucked placing the driver at a disadvantage and hampered a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver C DeFilippi advised that one hopple shortener had failed to activate causing the horse to break.
JACCKA OPA - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
GOD OF THUNDER - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
MASTERLOU - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up over the concluding stages. Driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
HE'S A BAY - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
Race 6   'FRED SHAW MEMORIAL' NZ TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP (MOBILE TROT)
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN - driver B Hope was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he drove between the 1800m and the 1600m when trailing too closely.
MAJESTIC MAN - attempted to pull up near the 2300m when leading resulting in a slight easing of the pace with MUSCLE MOUNTAIN shifting outwards in an attempt to lead. Stewards questioned driver J Cox regarding his decision to stay in front near the 2200m when pressured for the lead by favoured runner MUSCLE MOUNTAIN. Mr Cox advised that it was his intention to lead to ensure there was a strong tempo throughout which would suit his runner after MUSCLE MOUNTAIN had shown a tendency to ease the tempo when leading resulting in a sprint home. Mr Cox further added that he elected to take a trail when challenged for the lead by LOVE N THE PORT which had improved rapidly near the 1700m after having already worked hard through the early stages.
LOVE N THE PORT - when questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised he was not disappointed given it was the gelding's second start back from a spell and would derive benefit from the race.
SUNNYS SISTER - broke near the 350m losing all chance.
HIGH ENERGY - lay inwards and placed an inside runner over a track marker near the 2100m.
DOMINATION'S CALL - placed in restricted room and raced over a track marker near the 2100m.
MAUI - weakened final bend.
Race 7   AIRPARK CANTERBURY MOBILE PACE
DOCTOR TIM - driver S O'Reilly reported a sulky tyre deflated during the running.
TOBY TOM B - hampered and held up over the concluding stages.
HAYLEY'S MEDDLE - held up over the concluding stages.
STEPHS BOY - held up early in the run home.
TEDS LEGACY - over-raced middle stages.
DOUBLE JEOPARDY - shifted inwards marginally near the 50m hampering an inside runner.
WOTSONYAMIND - raced wide early.
WHAT A MINX - had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages. Driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
GOTTA ELECT BILL - held up over the concluding stages.
WARRIOR CHIEF - broke early in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide for a distance passing the 1400m before reaching the lead near the 700m.
OFF THE EDGE - held up late in the run home.
Race 8   'FAHEY FENCE HIRE' AUTUMN FREE-FOR-ALL (MOBILE PACE)
ALTA METEOR - paced roughly leaving the final bend.
MIGHTY LOOEE - lay inwards rounding the first bend causing driver J Dunn difficulty.
OHOKA CONNOR - raced wide final bend when attempting to improve.
Race 9   THE TYRE GENERAL HANDICAP TROT
GALLEONS AMBASSADOR - broke near the 800m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
MISSALYSSA - held up rounding the final bend.
SODS LAW - hung inwards and struck a track marker near the 300m when being held up.
PARIS PRINCE - broke near the 2100m losing ground. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
NAZARETH - the required veterinary clearance was received. Trotted roughly for a distance from the 1000m and weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left front heel which was bandaged. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
EUROSTYLE - raced wide from the 1400m. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of muscle tie up and soreness in the right hind leg. Connections advised they will have blood tests taken from the mare in the coming days. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 10   MATT HARRISON CONSTRUCTION HANDICAP PACE
THE COALMAN - fractious prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MANJIMUP - late scratching at 10.33am on Veterinary advice.
BEACH FLYBYE - contacted by an outside runner at the start. Held up over the concluding stages. Driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
HELIUM - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Broke at the start and shifted inwards making contact with BEACH FLYBYE and checked a trailing runner losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
PINSEEKER - driver J Cox was warned for the manner in which he drove at the 300m when anticipating a run to the inside of TRIPLE G (J Dunn) which had not eventuated placing driver J Dunn in some difficulty.
AUDACITY - fractious prior to the start. Broke at the start and shifted inwards hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HEY BARTENDER - checked by a breaking runner at the start losing considerable ground.
DASHING MAJOR - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
DOUBLE TIME - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
TRIPLE G - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he had difficulty steering the gelding and would be recommending gear changes prior to racing next.
Race 11   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
COMMANDER BEN - held up throughout the run home.
SWEET DIAMOND - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1100m.
XLENDI - driver B Butt was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
MR KAPLAN - lay outwards near the 200m having to be straightened by its driver hampering an outside runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange was unable to provide any tangible reason. Connections advised they would have blood tests taken from the mare in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
DANCE TILL DAWN - hampered by an inside runner near the 200m.
POINT BREAK - held up late in the run home.
