SONOMA TYRON - late scratching at 8.00am on Veterinary advice.
BARRYTOWN - held up rounding the final bend.
GEORGE ELIOT - lay inwards entering the first bend losing ground.
SON OF PATRICK - broke briefly shortly after the start. Slow through the early and middle stages. Weakened final bend.
WHO'S QUEEN - hung inwards for a distance and trotted roughly passing the 600m and broke losing all chance near the 500m. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
RANDEL HUSTON P - broke inside the final 50m losing its chance.
Race 2   TRACKSIDE DINING ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
HARRISON JOHN - lay outwards near the 100m placing an outside runner in restricted room. Driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
BUDDHA - was reluctant to take the passing lane throughout the run home when laying outwards. Placed in restricted room near the 100m when an inside runner also lay outwards. Contacted an outside runner just short of the winning post when laying outwards.
FRANCO ELVIS - hampered near the 1000m. Raced wide without cover from the 700m. Raced greenly when being shifted wider near the 300m hampering an outside runner.
DOUBLE QUICK - raced greenly for a distance passing the 1000m hampering trailing runners. Contacted by an inside runner just short of the winning post having to be steadied.
SHANNON B - hampered near the 1000m. Over-raced middle stages.
MILLWOOD GODDESS - trainer T Bagrie was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky. Hampered near the 1000m. Held up early in the run home.
REMISSION - raced wide early. Hampered by an inside runner near the 300m.
ACTION MAJOR - raced wide early.
JUST FOXIN - raced wide early and middle stages.
BELMONT REVOLUTION - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Zampese. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SHAPELY - paced roughly near the 250m.
ULTIMATE SEISATION - hampered near the 1000m. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 3   TEAM TEAL FROCKS AT THE TROTS (FINAL) TROT
LIL MISS MUSCLES - locked wheels briefly with VERTIGO near the 350m.
MISSALYSSA - connections advised the mare has been treated for a blood disorder since last racing.
SUNNY LOUIS - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
VERTIGO - locked wheels briefly with LIL MISS MUSCLES near the 350m. Driver D McCormick was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
PRINCE TEKA - weakened leaving the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
MIXED FAITH - raced wide early. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
PARIS PRINCE -lay in and struck a track marker near the 1500m which was dislodged. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
GRETTYMAC - fractious prior to the start and was back from its unruly position as the start was effected. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming. Weakened from the 1000m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver R Anderson could offer no tangible reason and advised it was his intention to restrict the mare to mobile starts in the immediate future. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 4   AIRPARK CANTERBURY SUPPORTING TEAM TEAL FASHION MOBILE PACE
LONE WOLF - paced roughly near the 1000m losing ground.
JACK TAR - raced wide without cover from the 1000m.
COMMANDER BEN - over-raced middle stages. Held up leaving the final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver S Ottley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds in consequence.
HEY BARTENDER - driver J Stormont admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Stormont's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 20 March up to and including 27 March 2024 (3 days).
CELTIC SPIRIT - raced wide early.
BUILT FOR GLORY - raced roughly for a distance passing the 1000m and broke briefly near the 900m losing ground.
Race 5   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
STRAIGHT FLUSH - over-raced middle stages.
MAJOR HIPSTER - held up rounding the final bend.
TIDE AND TIME - over-raced middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend.
OUR SHANGRI LANA - a post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of the connections revealed an entrapped epiglottis and the early signs of a respiratory infection which will be treated. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
WARRIOR CHIEF - raced wide early and middle stages.
DANCE WITH THE BOSS - over-raced middle stages.
TOBY TOM B - raced wide early.
Race 6   REMEMBERING AMERICAN IDEAL MOBILE PACE
DANCING DESIRE - broke rounding the final bend losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
CLASSIE LINC - broke early in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SWEET DIAMOND - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the sliding blinds had come down prematurely during the running resulting in the mare over-racing. Mr Williams also advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 7   LAMB & HAYWARD TROTTERS CLASSIC (HANDICAP TROT)
OSCAR BONAVENA - pre-race warmed. Lay inwards under pressure rounding the final bend and struck a track marker near the 300m. When questioned regarding the performance driver N Rasmussen was unable to provide any tangible reason. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate. Connections advised they will have blood tests taken from the horse in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN - the required veterinary clearance was received.
Race 8   THE TYRE GENERAL HANDICAP PACE
SMOKE ON THE WATER - over-raced middle stages. Held up throughout the run home.
MOSSDALE BEN - connections advised the gelding has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.
HEISENBERG - driver T Williams was warned for using his whip with his foot removed from the sulky footrest in the early stages.
MIGHTY LOOEE - lay outwards in the early and middle stages when leading. Lay outwards rounding the final bend despite the efforts of driver J Dunn.
AMERICAN ME - over-raced middle stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver S O'Reilly advised she did not activate the sliding blinds or removable deafeners in consequence.
FRANCO INDIE - raced wide from the 800m.
FRANCO MAREK - trainer G Manson was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky.
Race 9   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE TROT
GALLEONS AMBASSADOR - trainer J Morrison was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
DOMINATION'S CALL - raced wide early. Broke near the 250m losing all chance.
FRANCO JOSIAH - driver R May was warned for using his whip free of the rein in the run home.
EUROSTYLE - raced wide early.
Race 10   DAVE FERRIMAN THANKS FOR 45 YEARS OF SERVICE PACE
MASTERLOU - momentarily placed in restricted room by an outside runner near the 300m. Driver J Dunn advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
PERAKI REACTOR - connections advised the gelding has had its hocks treated since last racing. Broke at the start losing ground.
BLAZING REACTOR - broke at the start losing ground. Held up final bend and early in the run home.
WOTSONYAMIND - fractious prior to the start.
AUDACITY - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
GOD OF THUNDER - lay inwards rounding the final bend and momentarily placed an inside runner in restricted room near the 300m.
Race 11   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
ROCKNROLL DIVA - cast the off fore shoe near the 1300m.
SWEET SPIRIT - held up late in the run home.
TOUCH N GO - over-raced middle stages.
SARGENT BEST - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
