Race 3   POWER FARMING TOP SERVICE HANDICAP TROT
There was a delay to the start when HENRIK LUNDQVIST became fractious when parading tipping Driver J Abernethy from the sulky and escaped driverless before falling when attempting to jump the birdcage gate. The gelding was subsequently declared a late scratching on veterinary advice due to receiving minor lacerations that required treatment by the Veterinarian. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Driver J Abernethy was examined by St John Ambulance staff and cleared of injury.
GRACE N ELEGANCE - trotted roughly rounding the first bend then broke losing considerable ground. Authorisation of this runner's promoted 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
PLAY FOOTSIE - broke at the start losing its chance.
MR MONTY - broke near the 200m and galloped approximately 80m prior to settling. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to this runner under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. Connections did not contest the protest and MR MONTY was disqualified by Stewards.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
LORD DELMAR - over-raced middle stages. Raced greenly rounding the final bend.
Race 8   C A PENNY F & M $18,000 28TH MARCH MOBILE PACE
