HENRIK LUNDQVIST - fractious prior to the start. Over-raced through the middle stages when leading. Lay in rounding the final turn contacting several track markers near the 300m. Trainer/Driver J Abernethy advised that he would be making a corrective gear change for the second day. | |
PLAY FOOTSIE - lay in rounding the bends. | |
KISS MY PIXEL - connections reported the mare will be racing in season. Driver G Martin was warned for using his whip in a lifting motion free of the rein in the run home. | |
MR MONTY - broke at the start but soon settled before breaking again shortly after losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. |

When questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver R Downey advised that the mid-race effort to lead before being taken on may have taken its toll in what was the mare's first race at the track. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormality. | |
PRINCE ENVY - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 2100m losing further ground. Lay in rounding the bends. Weakened from near the 950m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormality. | |
SWEET OLIVIA - trotted roughly before breaking near the 650m losing ground. Driver B Orange advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to the mare trotting roughly when not in contention for a better finishing position. | |

DOCTOR TIM - when questioned regarding the performance Driver W House advised that the early effort to hold the back of the leader NO ADDED SUGAR may have taken its toll as the gelding had shown previously that he performed best when not having to work early. |

VOODOO PRINCE - broke near the 1000m losing its chance and was retired from the event. Found to have sustained a fractured off-hind fetlock with the gelding being humanely euthanised by the on-course Veterinarian. | |
RORY MCILROY - had some difficulty obtaining clear running early in the home straight. | |
ONETANGI GIRL - broke early in the score up and then pulled hard prior to dispatch. Continued to over-race through the early and middle stages. |
