Race 1   HIRE A VENUE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY HANDICAP TROT
ITBETTERBENOW - lay in and contacted a track marker final turn.
HELSINGOR - broke near the 650m losing its chance.
STORMS ACOMING - commenced to weaken final turn and lay in contacting a track marker.
PRESIDENT FLYNNTIN - broke after 150m losing considerable ground.
TEQUILA SUNRISE - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first turn losing ground. Trotted roughly at various stages and in particular approaching the 800m losing ground. When questioned Driver M White advised the mare had raced roughly throughout and hadn't handled the prevailing track conditions.
KEEP IT KLASSY - broke near the 1850m losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
Race 2   GAVELHOUSE.COM MOBILE PACE
BEACH PARTY - over-raced middle stages when leading. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after blood was present at the gelding's mouth which revealed a small abrasion to the inside left cheek. Driver C Sharpe was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
NO ADDED SUGAR - held up early final turn.
Race 3   HIDDEN LAKE HOTEL AND APARTMENTS MOBILE PACE
DELIGHTFUL CHIC - commenced to weaken from the 350m hampering trailing runners and contacted a track marker near the 220m. When questioned Driver J Dickie could offer no explanation for the disappointing run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
DREAMS ARE BETTOR - Driver B Butcher was warned for the manner in which he shifted ground entering the first turn which placed an inside runner in restricted room. Hampered when held up by a weakening runner rounding the final turn.
CAROLINA MOON - raced wide early.
SHEZA MERMAID - had to be steadied when placed in restricted room by an outside runner entering the first turn. Hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final turn and was then held up early stages of the run home.
PANDORA - raced wide early.
CHALLENGER - raced wide without cover from 1200m before weakening near the 600m and was retired from the event. When questioned Co-trainer/Driver D Ferguson could offer no reason for the disappointing run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
DOM TORETTO - raced wide with cover from the 1200m before improving four wide near the 550m.
MICKY WADE - Trainer S McCaffrey was warned for failing to have the correct colours available.
UNDER THE BOARDWALK - broke in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Raced wide with cover from the 1000m.
Race 4   WATCHU SECURITY MOBILE PACE
STACEY MARIE - weakened in the run home.
COTE D'AZUR - over-raced middle stages.
Following this event the track was upgraded to Easy.
Race 5   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS HANDICAP TROT
SONSOFTHEMERCH - trotted roughly throughout the run home.
ALANA - hampered by a weakening runner entering the back straight the final time losing ground.
FLYING SCOTSMAN - over-raced when leading middle stages.
MAZEPPA - lay in and contacted several track markers near the 1350m. Weakened near the 400m.
YUROK - weakened from the 1000m and was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's race performance.
PRESIDENTIAL JEWEL - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened in the run home.
LOVEMETO - broke near the 750m losing ground. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance. When questioned regarding the performance Co-Trainer/Driver D Ferguson advised that this runner had not felt comfortable in its gait throughout and that the gelding would undergo a veterinary examination in the coming days. Mr Ferguson undertook to advise Stewards of the findings.
Race 6   WOODLANDS STUD THANK BUYERS MOBILE PACE
VICTOR BRAVO - raced wide early and middle stages before crossing to the parked position near the 1500m.
EASTWOOD DREAM - broke near the winning post on the first occasion but soon settled.
PRINCE MIKI - when spoken to regarding the performance Driver J Dickie stated that although this runner had only battled in the run home, he was not overly disappointed with the effort given that the gelding had not raced for three weeks.
PROVISEUR - had some difficulty obtaining a clear run to the inside of CLEAR LEFT in the passing lane in the run home.
Race 7   NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
WHITFIELD - held up over the final stages.
OCEANIC ART - Driver B Butcher reported that he had not been able to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking.
BUGALUGS - over-raced for a distance middle stages.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - back from position at dispatch. Junior Driver D Grundmann, assisted by J Abernethy, was issued with a warning. Raced keenly middle stages.
COTTON SOCKS - back from position at dispatch. Junior Driver N Balle, assisted by D Balle, was issued with a warning.
