The start of this race was delayed at the request of TAB Control.
DIGNIFY - trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out.
WHISPERING MAJESTIC - trotted roughly throughout the run home and was unable to be fully driven out. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding was in the correct gait when its nose reached the finish line.
MOMENT OF WHAT - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again passing the 200m losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer A Hoffman.
PORTELLI - broke passing the 350m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
LOTUS FRANCO - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1200m losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer S McRae.
STYRAX - broke passing the 550m losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MOA MOJITO - slow through the early stages losing ground. Driver J Morrison reported the mare had trotted roughly at various stages throughout.
Race 2   CARRICK LODGE MOTEL MOBILE PACE
JUSTA LILY - trainer E Murphy reported the mare has been treated for stomach ulcers since last racing.
NOTONYOURNALLY - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly and broke when improving three wide near the 900m losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 300m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
LOTTIE'S LUCK - held up leaving the final bend.
STILTON LORD - over-raced and hung outwards after 200m despite the efforts of driver T Robertson resulting in the gelding making contact with the sulky wheel of OH MICKY. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KENSI - paced roughly early in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 3   HARROLD BUILDING LTD MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared at the first attempt when KILAUEA broke in the score up checking a second line runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver S Ottley elected to remain in her allotted barrier position for the restart.
There was a further delay due to the sulky having to be replaced on ARLO MAGUIRE.
TANE J J - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver K Butt reported she did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
TAXMAN - trainer E Murphy reported the gelding has been treated for stomach ulcers since last racing. Raced wide early.
STRIKE ME HANDSOME - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver G Hunt admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and, on a runner out of contention in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hunt's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 25 February up to and including 3 March (2 days).
ARLO MAGUIRE - slow to leave the pre-race formation and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver D O'Connell. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
EBURY STREET - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver H Sail advised that the mare had been unlucky at its previous two starts when held up for clear racing room, performs well on grass tracks and today received an economical run throughout.
MATAI HARRY - out of position at the start. Driver A Milne was issued with a warning for failing to maintain his barrier position. Lay inwards rounding the final bend striking a track marker.
Race 4   PLACEMAKERS CROMWELL MOBILE PACE
TINDER ROSE - held up early in the run home.
AURORA BOREALIS - late scratching on veterinary advice at 7.25am.
TERRA SANCTA - shifted outwards in the home straight when being driven out. Driver M Williamson was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
OSCAR MAC - raced wide without cover throughout. Weakened leaving the final bend.
TIC MAC - weakened final bend.
BISMARCK DU PLESSIS - raced three wide with cover through the early and middle stages before improving four wide from the 600m.
SUMMIT ULTRA - hampered by a breaking runner early in the score up however was in position at the start. Hampered again near the 300m.
FABRICATE - broke early in the score up hampering an inside runner however was in position at the start. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hung inwards early in the run home causing driver A Armour some difficulty.
HEZASWEETIE - raced wide early. Raced wide with cover from the 900m. Lay inwards and paced roughly passing the 100m.
ON THE BEACH - broke near the 300m hampering a trailing runner and lost ground before breaking again shortly after. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
CHEER ME ON - over-raced middle stages.
Race 5   PROGRESSIVE ENGINEERING LTD SOUTHLAND TROT
BONEY M - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Weakened from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed some lameness in the off-front leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
TONY MAC - broke passing the 2100m losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SHANDON BELLS - driver C Williamson reported she was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
JACCKA BAYLIS - switched to a pace shortly after the start having to be broken up by driver N Williamson losing all chance.
DEM BONES DEM BONES - over-raced middle stages. Weakened from the 400m.
CRUISE LINER - over-raced middle stages.
Race 6   HYGAIN - REVELL DOUGLAS MEMORIAL SERIES MOBILE PACE
RAKERO ROCKET - shifted up the track leaving the final bend and in the run home despite the efforts of driver C Dalgety. Mr Dalgety reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. Mr Dalgety also added he would be recommending gear changes prior to the gelding resuming.
LOU'S DEAL - trainer R Heads advised the gelding would now be sent for a spell.
DENNIS DENUTO - driver W House reported he was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
BOBBIES ROCK - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400m losing ground.
RAKAMURPH - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400m and locked sulky wheels with GEM N EM losing ground.
GEM N EM - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400m and locked sulky wheels with RAKAMURPH losing ground. Weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a slow recovery and be showing signs of dehydration. Stewards will follow up with trainer J Howe in the coming days.
RIGHTAZZ - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400m losing ground.
VINITA ROSE - paced roughly and broke passing the 1400m checking outside and trailing runners, losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
HALEY ROBYN - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400m losing ground.
Race 7   McNULTY'S TRANSPORT FILLIES & MARES TROT
COSMIC ANGEL - broke after 200m losing considerable ground.
TO HILL AND BACK - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
LINE A LOVE - broke near the 250m losing ground. Driver J Patterson reported the mare had cast a shoe during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to a front leg which was treated.
EYE LOVE YOU - a post-race veterinary examination was requested after driver K Butt reported the mare had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running which revealed no obvious abnormalities.
BEAT THE COVID - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 8   FARMLANDS CROMWELL MOBILE PACE
STILLYOURSHOT - late scratching on veterinary advice at 9.15am.
LORTON VALE - over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover in the early stages. Continued to over-race through the middle stages.
ARDEN'S PURSUIT - hung inwards in the run home causing driver W House some difficulty. Mr House advised he would be recommending gear changes prior to the gelding resuming.
CLAASEE - held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home. Cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 9   ULTRASPAN OTAGO LTD HANDICAP PACE
JORDY - tangled away.
DONE ROCKN - slow to begin. Paced roughly near the 1100m. Held up until late in the run home.
LESTER - tangled away. Shifted outwards in the home straight. Driver K Butt was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
MR CASH MAN - tangled away.
CLASSIE LINC - tangled away. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 10   SANGSTER ELECTRICAL HANDICAP TROT
IMPERIAL MAN - paced after 200m having to be broken up by driver R McIlwrick to return the gelding to its correct gait. Paced again near the 1600m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DWINDLE STAR - weakened from the 400m hampering trailing runners.
CODY BANNER - slow to begin. Trotted roughly in the run home.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - broke passing the 350m losing all chance.
FIERY BANDITO - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
MAJESTIC LOVE - hampered by a weakening runner passing the 400m. Held up early in the run home.

LUCYS DELIGHT - driver B McLellan was warned for the manner he drove near the 150m when shifting ground outwards placing CHRIS KYLE in restricted room.
FRANCO HUMBIE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home.
TACT TEEL - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Weakened early in the run home.
MR PRESIDENT - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400m.
JIMMYRAY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

FOURTH AMENDMENT - hung outwards and raced fiercely in the score up and was unable to take up its correct position behind the mobile despite the efforts of driver C Williamson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Declared a non-runner by Stewards acting under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Junior driver C Williamson, assisted by S Ottley, was issued with a warning to ensure she attempts to alert the starter in similar circumstances in future. Notwithstanding FOURTH AMENDMENT had forfeited its barrier position due to unsatisfactory manners, Starter B Ward was reminded of his obligations to declare a false start when horses are unable to take up their correct position behind the mobile.
CHRIS KYLE - held up early in the run home. Paced roughly passing the 150m when placed in restricted room by an inside runner that shifted ground outwards.
