Race 1   TOTE BURGER HANDICAP TROT
TOPAZ CASTLETON - broke entering the first turn losing considerable ground. A final warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
KAIPAKI JACK - broke briefly at the start. Lost ground entering the first turn when taking evasive action to avoid a breaking runner.
BUSY CANOODLING - pre-race warmed. Broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Stood down to complete one satisfactory standing start trial prior to resuming.
ITBETTERBENOW - broke near the 100m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
HELSINGOR - broke entering the first turn when taking evasive action to avoid a breaking runner losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's race performance.
TEQUILA SUNRISE - broke near the 800m losing all chance.
KEEP IT KLASSY - lay in near the 1250m and raced over several track markers with one being dislodged.
Race 2   OFF THE TRACK FOOD AND BEV MOBILE PACE
MAPUA MISSIE - weakened in the run home.
UNDER THE BOARDWALK - broke entering the first turn hampering trailing runners and lost all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
GWENDOLINE MARY - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first turn.
SHEZ THE ONE - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first turn.
ANNA - lay in during the score up. Pulled hard when racing wide early before being restrained to the rear. Continued to lay in and over-race throughout the running. Paced roughly rounding the final turn.
MAGIE DO - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first turn.

STICK WITH ME - weakened in the run home.
Race 4   NZB AIRFREIGHT MOBILE TROT
A false start was declared at the first attempt when Starter D Blakemore was concerned that SONSOFTHEMERCH may have been denied a fair start after having been well back at the commencement of the score up.
LUBY LILL - lay in and contacted a track marker near the 850m.
WINNERS TIME - sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 1050m.
SHESGOLD - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Driver C Hackett advised that the mare had become wound up after the false start and raced keenly throughout which took its toll. Miss Hackett further advised that SHESGOLD will be turned out for a spell.
BREAK FREE - trotted roughly at the start and over the early stages losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobiles at the Trainer's request.
RUBY RIDGE - became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of WINNERS TIME near 1050m after there was an easing of the pace and then contacted that runner's sulky wheel which punctured the tyre. Given the circumstances Stewards took no action against Driver Z Meredith other than to remind him of his obligations.
ALANA - pulled hard during the score up for the restart.
SONSOFTHEMERCH - back from the unruly position at the restart and lost further ground over the early stages before trailing the field throughout. Junior Driver N Balle, assisted by Z Butcher, was questioned in relation to both score ups and warned to make a greater effort to have her runner in position given similar circumstances in the future.
Race 5   WATCHU SECURITY MOBILE PACE
EASTWOOD DREAM - Driver M Ranger, assisted by B Butcher, was issued with a warning for failing to activate the sliding blinds and also for failing to report the non activation to Stewards as soon practicable.
NORVIC CHARLIE - commenced to over-race before being taken forward three wide from the 1400m but was then obliged to remain three wide without cover when unable to secure the position outside the leader which was being held by EASTWOOD DREAM. Weakened in the run home.
VICTOR BRAVO - raced wide with cover from the 1000m.
TOMALOU - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Contacted track markers when weakening final turn. Driver Z Meredith was issued with a warning for the manner in which he drove in this incident.
Race 6   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
MALEFICENCE - weakened final turn.
LOU BABY - commenced to improve three wide without cover from the 700m but lay in rounding the final turn losing ground.
CAULFIELD - broke early in the score up losing ground but was in position at the candy pole.
HAIL LUCIUS - over-raced middle stages.
IDOLOU - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
Race 7   HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN COULAM HANDICAP TROT
TAYLAD TO USE - broke briefly at the start hampering a trailing runner.
SONSOFTHEMERCH - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having raced earlier in the night and was cleared to start. Broke near the 1600m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
WISHING STAR - weakened near the 400m.
TAKE THE MONARCH - hampered shortly after the start. Held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
MANCHESTER IN TIME - weakened in the run home.
ULTIMATE MOMENT - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
ROYAL ACTION - trotted roughly late in the run home.
HUGHIE WALLACE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
JOCA'S HILL - broke near the 500m when improving wide losing its chance.
ROMEO FOXTROT - broke for several strides at the start.
Race 8   WAIKATO PRINCIPALS ASSOCIATION MOBILE PACE
POTTER - paced roughly early in the run home having to be steadied. Driver A Poutama reported that he didn't activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
PETER FORSBERG - raced wide early. Raced keenly middle stages.
VOODOO PRINCE - weakened final turn.
FIFTH AND FINAL - broke shortly after the start losing ground before settling. A final warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
Race 9   NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
PRECIOUS BET - Co-trainers S & A Telfer were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding with removable deafeners that were not notified.
FRISCO BAY - improved around three wide to sit parked near the 850m. Weakened in the run home. Stewards will speak with Trainer R Green in the coming days regarding the performance.
GIMMESOMELOVIN - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
