Connections advised Stewards on 20 February that blood tests taken from ST JOHN EIGHT showed signs of the horse having a low-grade respiratory infection which has been treated.

Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. MOBILE PACE
HA'PENNY - dislodged its overcheck bit shortly after the start and raced greenly on a number of occasions. Held up early in the run home.
SAMVASA - lay inwards throughout the run home.
Race 2   SPECTATORS BAR & BISTRO TROT
SODS LAW - broke at the start losing ground.
EDWARD HILL - broke at the start losing all chance.
LUCINDA HEST - broke at the start losing all chance.
RUSH - broke near the 600m losing all chance.
ONE EL - broke at the start losing ground.
WAIHEMO HANNAH - began awkwardly. Checked by a breaking runner racing into the first bend and switched to a pace losing all chance.
THE CHASE - broke racing into the first bend checking WAIHEMO HANNAH losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SASSY STAR - broke near the 550m when leading losing ground. Broke again passing the 200m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 3   WOODLANDS STUD THANKS BUYERS MOBILE PACE
CARRERA KAHU - raced roughly for a distance passing the 1800m.
HOOROO - weakened from the 400m hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Butt advised the mare had to work hard through the middle stages when unsuccessfully attempting to lead and may not have backed up from its race last week.
DIVINE ANGEL - held up by a weakening runner near the 400m. Junior driver R Harrison (assisted by G Smith) was spoken to by Stewards and shown the films in relation to the manner in which she drove rounding the final bend.
ALL YOU NEED IS ME - lay outwards in the score up hampering outside runner.
PLAY PHILLY - hampered in the score up and was back slightly at the start.
Race 4   CONTINENTAL EVENT HIRE HANDICAP TROT
TU TANGATA - began awkwardly.
EL CONQUEROR - lay inwards forcing ANDY HALL onto a track marker rounding the final bend.
ANDY HALL - placed in restricted room by an outside runner rounding the final bend and struck a track marker.
MIDNIGHT DASH - late scratching at 1.55pm on Veterinary advice.
SMOKIN BANDAR - driver C Ferguson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 5   PETER LAGAN STANDARDBREDS MOBILE PACE
TIDE AND TIME - weakened rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners.
JOVIAL JAY - lay inwards rounding the first bend striking several track markers. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
XLENDI - over-raced and then raced greenly for a distance near the 1400m.
CHARLIE BROWN - held up throughout the run home. Driver J Dunn advised the sliding blinds were not activated in consequence.
OFF THE EDGE - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
Race 6   FAHEY FENCE HIRE HANDICAP PACE
KAHLUA FLYBYE - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
CELTIC SPIRIT - broke briefly at the start losing ground.
GET UP N DANCE - broke briefly at the start losing ground. Lay inwards and locked wheels with the weakening DASHING MAJOR rounding the final bend.
MIKEY MAGUIRE - late scratching at 11.20am on Veterinary advice.
DASHING MAJOR - weakened rounding the final bend and locked wheels with GET UP N DANCE.
MIGHTY LOOEE - broke briefly at the start losing ground.
MOSSDALE BEN - raced four wide from the 600m.
Race 7   TRACKSIDE DINING 22 MARCH 'BOOK NOW' MOBILE PACE
BETTOR REACTION - raced wide from the 800m.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - trainer A Stuart was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with sliding blinds which had not been notified and removable deafeners instead of the notified fixed deafeners. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home.
FORD RULE - over-raced when being restrained near the 1600m.
ANYTIME AT ALL - raced wide early.
FERNZ GOLDY - out of position at the start after pacing roughly late in the score up. Notwithstanding this driver D Dolan was advised to make a greater effort to be in position at the start.
ELITE STYX - contested a position for a distance passing the 1600m and then shifted inwards placing SOPHIA BROMAC in restricted room momentarily. Driver T Williams will be spoken to regarding the manner in which he drove in the coming days. Held up middle stages of the run home.
SOPHIA BROMAC - pre-race warmed. Briefly placed in restricted room by an outside runner near the 1600m.
Race 8   GARRARDS HANDICAP TROT
BELLEROPHONTE - broke after 150m losing ground. Trotted roughly early in the run home. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
GAZZA BEATT - weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
GRETTYMAC - began awkwardly. Broke after 100m losing considerable ground. Struck track markers near the 1500m. Driver R Anderson was issued a warning. Weakened from the 600m.
RUAKAKA - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
TU TANGATA - late scratching at 7.11pm after starting in Race 4.
Race 9   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
JACCKA OPA - placed in restricted room racing into the first bend when an outside runner shifted inwards.
SOVIET STAR - paced roughly rounding the final bend. Lay outwards throughout the run home.
TOBY TOM B - driver B Orange was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he shifted ground racing into the first bend when placing an inside runner in restricted room.
REGGIE GOLIGHTLY - weakened final bend and lay inwards.
